    Hi. Great music. Professional sound. Tell me analog rythm on the latest firmware? What do you think about mk1? What interface are you recording through?

    • @ArtificialEnergy
      @ArtificialEnergy  2 месяца назад

      Hey, thank you ! Yep I'm running the 1.7 firmware on the rytm. I absolutely love the rytm it's a very nice machine and I much prefer the layout to the digi boxes. For interfaces I usually use either the analog heat or a minifuse interface from arturia. 🙂

    How many hrs per week do you practice?

    • @ArtificialEnergy
      @ArtificialEnergy  День назад

      Aha, short answer is a lot. I kind of mess around on the machines every day and if not recording maybe just doing sound design or other stuff. Probably averages out to 10-14 hours a week depending on what I do on the week-ends. 🙂

    Liked it! What's your approach to improv?

    • @ArtificialEnergy
      @ArtificialEnergy  6 месяцев назад

      Awesome ! I don't know my approach is to just try and keep a bit of a flow state I guess. Usually I make a pattern to start things off and then everytime I change something I get new ideas and just incrementally shift elements of the groove. A lot of practice goes into it ahead of time to learn "tricks" that I can go to and know will sound decent.

      @@ArtificialEnergy Nice, so you developed some real skill to play you machines, I like that. How much sound design goes into preparation? I'm building my modular and have both of the Elektrons too (+ Digitakt for samples and additional drones/textures/soundscapes). It's a real challenge to create a setup that is predictable enough to improvise with, without getting too predictable results. Proper practice might be an important key to that. Thanks for the insight🙏🏻

    • @ArtificialEnergy
      @ArtificialEnergy  6 месяцев назад +1

      Yes one thing that really helped me was to like improvise for a set time and keep going no matter what happens or how badly you screw up aha. For sound design I kind of just made a bunch of sounds to start with and kept everything organised within the banks of the machines so I can access them. Then I play around with filters and effects to add variation. Nowadays I just go through sound design periods were i'll add a couple things. And yes I agree lol I find it's also a good thing to simplify things as much as possible and have maybe one or two unpredictable elements you can bring in to keep inspiration going. Good luck with finishing your setup 😉

      @@ArtificialEnergy Amazing stuff! How do you sequence everything? Do you have sequences prepared or you make them on the fly as well?

    • @ArtificialEnergy
      @ArtificialEnergy  2 месяца назад

      Cheers ! Yes I sequence everything on the fly I usually have stuff programmed from the previous session but I stay in the same pattern for the whole improv and just change things as I go along
