The synergy of goth, doom, classic rock, punk, metal, pop has never been done in quite that way... Their vocabulary of sound and aesthetics is so unique and amazing
This video is so heartwarming. Seeing those two guys together talking about the old days is so great. I just wish Sal and Josh were with them, and of course, I wish Peter was there to joke around those guys as well. Miss you green man. Bittersweet video.
Kenny reminds me of the old man I worked with as a welder for years. Endless knowledge and even more stories. Everything he said was hilarious. I could listen to Kenny all day
Type O Negative aren’t obscure to anyone who came up in the 90’s as a teenager or 20-something. The band made a massive impact, nobody sounds like them still. I think if you heard the first 3-4 albums back then, and got doom/hardcore/goth metal, you were a fan for life. I’m 43 now, still listen to them every week, play them in my record store in NZ and turn the kids onto it who are “what’s this??’ If they have a clue, they get it and love it.
You have to do more of these with the remaining members of Type O Negative, go through each album, have to hear the stories and memories. I miss this band so much, It is the season for the October Rust, listen to it every night.
Every October I listen to Rust throughout the month,as many of us do. However, World Falling Down is my personal thing and though I listen to something off it regularly, I dedicate Oct. to Rust and the rest of fall and up to my birthday Dec 7th to World Falling Down. I got married on Halloween of 2013 and we played Love you to Death to it. I had to leave that bitch May 2019,fuck her. Anyhow, I will be 65 70 if I live that long, still listening to Type O-
Type O Negative are true legends. Much love to Josh Silver and Sal! R.I.P. Peter Steele. One of a kind. Never will be another for the future of mankind.
the guitar guy has such a sound. Some of his song make me cry. Listen to Gravity is it, and his solo, awwwww the sound is so good, idk his style or rig but the sound, so beautiful and deadly. Type O Negative and i've been blessed with that blood type. yes sir!!! RIP Peter!!!
I discover TON at the end of last year and I really felt like I could relate to them in some way. The very first song I heard was Haunted and I immediately fell in love with the band. Even though I’m a newer fan, I feel like I’ve known them my whole life. I wish all of them the best of luck. No matter what, they will always hold a special place in my heart. Even though Peter is gone, I can still feel his spirit through his music and through the band. Thank you, TON for helping me find who I am as a person and making me feel like I can express myself how I want. 💚🖤
My husband bought me this album set. I have been a Type O fan for most of my life. I have the album's in CD form but I wanted records which a couple of years ago we pretty pricey.

I saw Type O in Atlanta their last tour. They played here at Centerstage and myself and my husband were to the left of the stage really close. That concert absolutely ruled! Being that close to that band in such a small venue was as close to God as I've ever been. I remember they had a bunch of female mannikins onstage. My husband saw Slitzy walking about in the crowd before the show. We bought a t-shirt of Pete holding Slitzy like a baby, the shirt said Baby got goth? The vendor was surprised that we knew who Slitzy is, 😆 I only watched their videos continuously. So we got to get on the horn and show Slitzy some love. Trust me a great time was had by all. Wonderful show, cool band and a great crowd as Type O fans are! Definitely one of my best memories! My soul is done medium well! 😆
@@michellelambert8729 I'm SO jealous. I saw them in 2000 and 2003 in LA, but didn't get to meet them or Slitzy either time. Pete and the guys are all down to earth and are one of a kind in a genre all their own. I love them and miss Type O- & Pete more and more every year. Technology has destroyed the ability of REAL MUSICIANS TO BE RECOGNIZED for the talented people they are, and has allowed too many no-talent computerized bands to become famous with computers doing the work. It’s amazing to see how these guys are curious about how TON was able to get the sound they cannot dupe with a computer. It’s a shame that they didn’t exist in a different world. Pete would really detest the corporatized, overly computerized music world of today. He and the other band members have real talent. Pete was NOT A SELLOUT AND I will always admire Him And Type O- Negative for that. He would hate the consolidation of the music world into the hands of Sony-UMG, an unholy monopoly. God, I miss the good old days and the time before “Smart” phones and dumb people. MTV is not about music anymore but instead is focused on phony “Reality TV” compared to the good old days of Beavis & Butthead... I am lost in a sick world that has destroyed itself with lies, and it was so much better to be alive and a music addict before the corporate world used computers and took away the good from the world with fake talent and fake reality and greed so sickening that they will do anything to make and keep money, and not pay taxes. It’s disgusting how people with no talent are “famous performers” created by the record corporations and I wish I could go back in time when people had to be talented to make it anywhere in music. I would love to go back and see several more Type O- shows. The ones I saw were absolutely amazing and insane, and no band will ever come close to the effect Type O- Negative had on me. Thanks for all your dedication, Peter, Kenny, Josh, Johnny And Sal. Rest In Peace Peter, your early loss is heartbreaking and I am so thankful for your amazing contributions to music. 😔🌹✨🌙 🍷 🎶
