    I saw The Association perform at Purdue University about 1973. I remember about eight people on the state, including several playing wind instruments. Of course, this was one of the pieces they performed.

    I first saw The Association perform in concert in 1972. All of the original members of the group, apart from Russ Giguere, were there that night. They were absolutely superb in concert.
    Last year, I saw the band with only Associates Del Ramos and Paul Holland playing with the Happy Together band.
    I missed the 1972 lineup of this truly magnificent group.
    Requiem aeternam Brian Cole, Richard Thompson, Larry Ramos and Terry Kirkman.

      The original lineup was truly spectacular. I wish I would’ve been born early enough to see them in their prime. Such fantastic harmonies.
      I enjoyed this lineup since they are keeping the musical legacy alive, but it is nowhere close to what they used to be.

      The ones calling themselves the temptations should be arrested and jailed. When David ruffin died so did the band

    Painful. Like watching Willie Mays in the 1973 World Series.

      It was nice seeing them perform, but they cannot hit those notes anymore. I appreciate them keeping the music alive though.

    They’re okay but not the same as the REAL Association

      I mean, no one will ever beat the original lineup. That being said, they’re doing their best to keep the music alive. The harmonies could’ve been better imo, but given their age, most people aren’t going to hit those notes in their prime, let alone when they’re in their 70’s.

    • @doreenarchambeault7172
      @doreenarchambeault7172 5 месяцев назад +4

      True. The only singer that could hit the high notes at an older age was Jay Black from Jay and the Americans. It was amazing

      @@WalkerPolivka They do it because the stamina is gone. Couple stories a concert is ok. Not every song.

      That's 1 or 2 less songs they don't have to sing. They don't want to exert themselves, and save they're fragile voices 😏
