Presidential Assistance to Farmers, Fisherfolk and Families in Batangas 7/11/2024

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. heads to Region IV-A or CALABARZON on 11 July 2024 to bring government assistance to farmers and fisherfolk deeply affected by the El Niño phenomenon in previous months.
In a program at the FPJ Arena in the Municipality of San Jose in Batangas, the President hands out cash assistance amounting to PhP10,000 each to 30 select beneficiaries from the Provinces of Batangas, Laguna and Quezon. He also distributes Presidential assistance to the three Provincial Governments - PhP24,040,000 for Batangas; PhP17,420,000 for Laguna; and PhP28,810,000 for Quezon.
Several government agencies are also providing various aid such as farm machineries, equipment, fiber boats, seeds, fishing cages, etc. under the Department of Agriculture’s (DA) Rice Program, Corn Program, High Value Crops Development Program, National Urban and Peri-Urban Agriculture Program, Livestock Program and Organic Agriculture Program.
Meanwhile, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and the Office of House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez are distributing cash assistance, business kits, starter toolkits, certificates of scholarship and five (5) kilos of rice to each attendee throughout the day.
