    I'm only just starting to get into this with a 'play' car and I found your video and explanation perfect. Thank you for doing it and the research you've undertaken. Great video and excellent explanation. Cheers buddy 👍🏻

    Thank you again. The flow chart sent me to the ECU and it was a $30 fix. No one else anywhere in my search posted the flow chart. You and Xemodex saved me heartache and hundreds. All the best to you in endeavors.

    You can replace with a used one and plug and play. Turbo and na are not compatible. I’ve done about 10 of these and it’s a 50/50 shot. You know as soon as you plug it in and turn key. No need to install. You’re welcome 😁

    I had 99 S70 and when electronic throttle body went bad I found used one in working condition in junkyard for $30. What i did: unsolder electronic controller unit of throttle body from my vehicle and removed the same controller unit from working condition used throttle body and at the end soldered controller from my vehicle to used working throttle body. Put everything back on, start the vehicle - working and no programming! You can try replace position sensor resistance film but it's too risky to damage it and it cost more than $30

    I have an 1998 cable operated throttlebody. No problems yet. What sucks on my model is that I can't turn off the servicelight by myself. Have to go to the dealer evey time. Always something right? Thanx for you video.

    jaydeeself, did the rebuilt unit last? Do you have a DIY on best removal and reinstallation steps? What if anything might you have done to induce the etm failure?

    Hi, i have a question. Look couple weeks ago on my V70 2.5 petrol engine turned on ETS light.. So nothing changed car is driving like before, but light still is on.. Is it bad or just computer mistake? Sometimes it turns off by it self and after some time again turns on.. i don't know what to do..
    P.S sorry for my bad english..

    Did your new throttle body work, im having similar problems with my volvo and don't know if i should either buy a pre progammed throttle body from xemodex or just buy one from bosch

      @jaydee1313  9 лет назад

      To my knowledge xemodex is the only one you can get that is plug and play. All others will have to be installed and then before the car is started for the first time it has to be programmed by volvo, or a volvo mechanic that has the software. Otherwise it will never work. Good luck
