Thank you so much for your videos! I am long time fan of Korean Starcraft, and it was never possible for me to get a glimpse into the world on a level like this. Thank you!!!
Super grateful for these translations of course, but I've seen these types of reaction videos on his channel throughout this ASL season. What made you decide to work on this one instead of say, his first games where no one knew what to expect? Were the earlier reactions less interesting somehow? Obviously I don't know a lick of Korean, haha...
I've been kinda hesitant on doing these videos due to it having negative impact on pro players like Snow since I am pretty much stealing their hard-worked content. This video I was really entertained enough to try to share it with others really. If you have been following me, you may have noticed Snow has expressed concern (due to misunderstanding) on the video content due to me subbing videos without his consent, which is 100% validated. I do try to submit subtitles whenever I do sub these videos to original channel owner, but that feature no longer exists in youtube and hasn't been accepted yet. Luckily, I now can upload subtitles directly to Snow's RUclips channel after coming to understanding, but that is really because of Snow's open-mindedness and willingness to work together. Other pros, I do not know. I do not monetize the channel primarily due to this concern. I really don't want to profit off of subbing other players content. Patreon I have is really just for people who want me to do translation work for guides really. These "content" subs really are me subbing from interest.
It never occurred to me that you'd face the same issues as other types of "fansubs". I definitely get that. Yeah technically you're reuploading their content, even though it's obviously to an audience who wouldn't have understood it anyway. Classic grey area. Thanks for the detailed reply, I'm always down to support our BW ex-pros. To the original intent of my question though - do you reckon the earlier videos were more... entertaining? I'm just curious at this point! Those Snow games were pretty good!
@@jinjinBW KR players need to know that foreign fans need this kind of content. I hope you can find some kind of "workaround" so you and KR pros both benefit
I find amazing the moves and counter moves, the secrets. It seems to me that zero was the only one that really knew about the sunken rush, the others kinda figure it out when they saw it
Sea losing his shit @2:30 is too damn funny But it also gives insight into why Flash is so godlike, his understanding of the game is simply unparalleled. The sunken rush wasn't a crazy gamble that worked out, it was the exact strategy that Flash knew would put him in such a good position that he basically couldn't lose. And Larva is no pushover.
3:53 I think this is super interesting... I'm guessing it's like a "fair play" thing to not reveal strategies and/or the counter to certain strategies?
Gives more incentive for the players to work/practice to figure out the answer rather than just give it away, see if they come up with the same solution.
@@anisdeflavigny Pretty much everyone on TL agrees that their meta knowledge is extremely poor, not to mention how they completely had no idea on how ZvZs worked from 2010 until the end of the KeSPA era, when Zero revolutionized them. They put their banter above commentating the games, and while some people prefer that it's clearly disrespectful to the caliber of play that's being put on.
Haters gonna hate. The only praise they gave Flash during the game was when he had researched burrow. In reality they just talked about the strat and what Larva could have done to get out of that situation. They saw the Sunken rush as soon as the Korean pros saw it and they saw the armor upgrade advantage Flash had at the end. If you wanted to nitpick, the only thing Tastetosis missed that the pros touched upon was the location of the sunks, which only Calm commented upon and Flash cleared up in his stream.
@@reekhadol That may be true, but that's not what you said originally. They identified the advantages of Random vs Zerg on this map, said Flash had a massive lead as soon as he built spire, commented on the sunken rush, mentioned the armor upgrades - all pretty much exactly at the same times the pros did in the vids. Most of the pro stuff was just reactions and not high level analysis or anything, and artosis and tasteless were virtually the same.
@@anisdeflavigny well pro commenting is limited to reactions here on this video but pros on live stream give in-depth analysis and their viewpoint on who is on lead/possible builds/correct decisions for each player in detail in their own commentary stream. Its quite nice listening to their perspective on their full game commentating. It's not like they only react like in this video. Even Sea/Terror who goes in for more entertainment/reaction/clickbait type of commentary squeezes in their pro knowledge of their game while making it entertaining constantly during their live commentary in the end of the day, all pros have extreme in-depth knowledge of their matchups and other matchups. Pros for a reason.

We are 3 -4 people bud lol
This was great! Thank you for translating and making this!
Other pro-gamers: "What even is he?" I love it!
Larva smiling after getting recked is like he's saying:
"Look at this brat.who does he think he is rushing me?"

Super interesting to see a side of the pros we barely get a glimpse of when they appear on TV/tournaments
The reaction of Flash to seas story is amazing
Great video Flash and Jinjin, thank you! Artosis has been saying the viewer count for starcraft 1 has been going up this year. Keep up the good work!
Dam this really shows the amount of depth in this game
And how much you miss out on when you don't speak Korean.
This is perfect! Such a best of of all their reactions, that's gold haha! Thank you man

It's funny how the pros' opinions were pretty much unanimous, and on the english stream all we got was HUEHUEHUE FLASH SO GOOD HUEHUEHUE
