Great review Kane, watching this video the other day made me very keen to receive mine. I two CLP and two CLF classes, CLP11 and CLP13 in QR National Eagle, CLF2 and CLF4 in ARG colours. These are excellent models!
I do wonder how many Aussie modellers there are in the states, especially considering the huge population. I think some Aussie distribution do ship internationally :)
I've been wanting to pick up one of these, but of course they had to arrive at a time where I'm choked for cash. I just hope they don't all sell out before my next big paycheck. I'm also torn about which livery to buy but I'm leaning towards this one. I'm from California and am doing a multi-national layout, with several Auscision engines running on it already. The reason I'm leaning towards Genessee and Wyoming Australia CLP-11 is because here in California, right on the border with Arizona, we actually have a G&W railway, so I find it really intriguing that branch of the same company also had a presence in Australia.
If you’re lucky you may be able to score a CLP of your preference, you may even be able to find a store down here that can hold one u til you’re paid and shipped international. Try Orient Express in Adelaide or Train World in Melbourne 😁
@@KanesTrains Thanks for the info. I'm keeping Auscision's eBay page as active tab on my phone so I can keep an eye on the availability there as well. Yeah, the CL class really grew on me. As did the Victoria B-Class, which I did manage to get my hands on second hand. Currently the two Auscision models I have, are the aforementioned B Class (B-76) and a BL class (BL-29). Besides those two I have two other Australian engines from other brands. A second B-Class (B-80) an old Lima model, and from the American brand Broadway Limited Imports, an AC6000CW class (6070 "Port Hedland") from the Pilbara mining company BHP. So that's in total 4 Australian engines amongst a vast collection of American and English (and at least one German) trains I have.
It’s only the second Auscision models loco in my collection, so I’m not overly familiar with how they do their boxes so I very much appreciate your input there! Maybe you could get CLP9 ;)
@@KanesTrains They are at about their 5th iteration now of the boxes. :D CPL9 will probably sell out in 5 seconds flat... 🤣 Gen 1 was a blue box with just the Auscision logo and loco was in ice, Gen 2 was a grey box with an outline of the loco on all side of the box with a random colour and loco was in ice, Gen 3 was was a white (sound) or grey (DC) box with a coloured outline of the loco on all side of the box with a random colour and loco was in ice, Gen 4 is a white (sound) or grey (DC) box with a coloured outline of the loco on all side with red and yellow highlights and loco in ice, Gen 5 is the one you have there a white (sound) or grey (DC) box with a coloured outline of the loco on all side with red and yellow highlights with a block of foam
Loved crewing these back in the day. Like a big comfortable Cadillac.
I just received CLP14. Great model.
I’d love to see inside the cab of one now that you’ve described it that way 😀
Excellent choice of model!

Thanks so much, you have an exciting collection coming your way 😀
What a stunning model Kane. Thanks for doing a comprehensive review on this !
Much appreciated mate :)
I wish Aucision models were gettable in the states, been wanting one of those A.E. Goodwin alco clones for awhile now!

Great video!! What an awesome model!! Cant believe there are 31 functions!!
Amazing to think how far digital technology in models has gone over the past couple decades 😀
Awesome Kane
Thanks mate 😁
You're welcome
Yo Hudson one of my best friends is here

Great video Kane. I ordered CLP8 in AN green & silver, along with CLF1 in AN green. Both DCC with sound!
That sounds like a great combination! 😊
Great review! Impressive model. 😎
Really appreciate you tuning in mate :)
Love the details on the locomotive
They’re stunning!
Mini Tones 👌

Now you need three more and a GM to run through The Junction ;)
And 50 odd grain wagons 😅😎
@ - Time to get some hoppers going ;)

I would love to run some auscision models on my American layout.
Would be a cool thing to see :)
We need 350 in HO!!!!!!!!!!!
Definitely agree mate!
Slightly newer boxes... no undercarriage on the box! Also, new Warning label... Great review! I'm trying so hard to not get one...

@ damn, I appreciate the attention to detail on that, thank you!
$465 is very expensive.
It’s a high quality model, and sound comes at a cost. The standard DC model is $335 I believe :)
You're probably better than sam
Who’s Sam mate? 😅 and everyone has their strengths and weaknesses 😀
Foamer 🤣
Cruster 😂

@@Makataka_trains MPAG is a mate :)
@Makataka_trains haha you missed it - Kane mentioned the foam (in the box) hence my cheeky comment 😁
