Thank you so much for posting this tutorial! I've always loved listening to Lauren Daigle's songs in the car, and have always wanted to learn it on ukulele. This video taught me how to play it without having to use any hard chords, and I was able to learn this song in half an hour! :)
I literally love this song, it reminds me of my old church family and everyone I love, knowing that god is with me and that I shouldn’t be afraid. I’ve been wanting to get closer to Jesus, so thank you so much for this.
You are not hidden There's never been a moment You were forgotten You are not hopeless Though you have been broken Your innocence stolen I hear you whisper underneath your breath I hear your SOS, your SOS I will send out an army to find you In the middle of the darkest night It's true, I will rescue you There is no distance That cannot be covered Over and over You're not defenseless I'll be your shelter I'll be your armor I hear you whisper underneath your breath I hear your SOS, your SOS I will send out an army to find you In the middle of the darkest night It's true, I will rescue you I will never stop marching to reach you In the middle of the hardest fight It's true, I will rescue you I hear the whisper underneath your breath I hear you whisper, you have nothing left I will send out an army to find you In the middle of the darkest night It's true, I will rescue you I will never stop marching to reach you In the middle of the hardest fight It's true, I will rescue you Oh, I will rescue you
Hey, Dylan! I'm a singer/songwriter and you've been such an inspiration! I was wondering, do you think I should put my songs on my channel? I'm scared that people won't take it seriously.
Dylan has a couple of videos about song writing that really helped me. Also if you're stuck on your actual writing process then I would suggest going to a place that you feel inspires you. Imagine how you're feeling. Tell a story with your song. Use your emotions and put that into your voice. I find that writing a song about something I'm struggling with that I think will help me works best. If you're struggling with something then someone else is mostly struggling with it to. Imagine you're the listener. Write a song that would make you feel like you can relate to the lyrics. Write from your heart! Have fun with it! 😁
This is confusing to me since two slashes would indicate that it's two beats and not that you play it twice; unless, she's using a method I need to learn.
@@Cre8tiveWoman I see... I understood it that way bc it matches the strumming count, and also bc in lyrics, when there is a // means you repeat it twice. Not sure if it's different for music notation

You are not hidden
There's never been a moment
You were forgotten
You are not hopeless
Though you have been broken
Your innocence stolen
I hear you whisper underneath your breath
I hear your SOS, your SOS
I will send out an army to find you
In the middle of the darkest night
It's true, I will rescue you
There is no distance
That cannot be covered
Over and over
You're not defenseless
I'll be your shelter
I'll be your armor
I hear you whisper underneath your breath
I hear your SOS, your SOS
I will send out an army to find you
In the middle of the darkest night
It's true, I will rescue you
I will never stop marching to reach you
In the middle of the hardest fight
It's true, I will rescue you
I hear the whisper underneath your breath
I hear you whisper, you have nothing left
I will send out an army to find you
In the middle of the darkest night
It's true, I will rescue you
I will never stop marching to reach you
In the middle of the hardest fight
It's true, I will rescue you
Oh, I will rescue you
Perfect! Thank you so much. ❤️🥰

So do you play (D DUDU) for each slash or does that cover both slashes?
It’s for every slash. So if it’s 2 slashes you repeat it twice (1)D DUDU (2)D DUDU
Thanks!
