The EHB is looking sick in this vid. Everything black looks tough. Did you put the NG pickups in yourself?

@@elireardon Siiick it seems to give it that Dingwall sound... I have an EHB myself and am looking to upgrade the stock Bartolinis at some point. Cheers!

Nice, is this with the stock ibanez preamp or something else?

This bass was upgraded to have Dingwall FD3N pickups and a Darkglass Tone Capsule preamp!

@@elireardon ahh awesome man, what's the difference like from before to after? Is the output level roughly the same too? I have this same Ibanez but in seafoam green, I love playing it but I'm not bananas about the tone, so was considering doing something like this too

@@underscoreisnotvalid the difference was quite big… i wasnt a huge fan of the stock bartolini pickups as im playing metal with this bass. The stock preamp was fine, but i wanted to upgrade it anyway.
I did post a video a while back comparing the two pickups! (Although i think there was a wiring issue on the dingwall pickups at the time lol)

@@elireardon yeah cool, thanks for the reply! I mainly play fingers, going for more of a 100% bridge pickup tone, with lots of low mids and treble rolled off (that berp berp kinda jaco pastorius tone) but do play a few songs with a pick, where I crank the treble up for that jangly tone, which is where this would probably shine. Are you posting any more videos soon? I'd love to hear the bass by itself since the guitars obscure the bass tone a bit here

@@underscoreisnotvalid yeah nice! I tend to play a lot of fingerstyle and slap stuff too, and this setup hasnt let me down!
Im hoping to make some more videos soon!
