In this episode, we are welcomed by Rod Bushfield from @whatshappeningintheshop to film and photograph his 1936 Ford Pickup for a feature in the magazine, while we are here we figured we would film a RUclips Feature for you as well. Watch to get all the details on this beautifully built, classic example, of hot rodding.
Also, head over to Rod's channel @whatshappeningintheshop and check out how he did the awesome paint on this patina Ford pickup.

Reminds me of my ‘46 Chevy Truck. I have a similar paint job. Did it in my own garage, fake patina, left some dents & spent less than $250 on the whole paint job. People love it when I go to shows and always give me compliments on the paint & how nice and well used it looks. I love it and never have to worry about anyone scratching it because it just adds to the character.
That sounds awesome, I hole heartedly agree, done well, a patina paint job look and be awesome, and being able to use it and drive it is a whole other level!
FYI: Traditional Hot Rods don`t have fenders or hoods......
unfortunately that is just an opinion, while I agree that THIS is not a traditional hot rod but more of a hot rod with traditional influences. Traditional hot rods can indeed have fenders and/or hoods although it is and was popular to run without them. Thank you for checking out the video, I hope you enjoyed the build none the less.
your 1936 truck has a 1935 hood and radiator shell/grille. and a 1937 tailgate
Good eye! yes it does
Very well done truck and video
Thank you so much for checking it out!!
looks like a 1935, hood emblem in middle. Skinny grill shell
Good catch he did use a grill from a 1935!
Would be a lot more traditional if it had a Flathead in it. Too bad.
That would be cool, its good, reliable, quick, cruiser now tho
Bad Ass truck. Is it for sale???!!
Haha I wish! Unfortunately it is not
Awesome) 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Thats not patina, thats no paint.
Watch the video closely and check out the article in the magazine, it is actually paint!
Patina??....You mean bare steel....So over that look, Nice truck otherwise.
Watch again and take a closer look, there is no bare steel here!!
@@cruiseculturemagazine But why?
Why Silver Patina paint? When Rod bought the project, the rims had already been powder coated green and they way the rims are, they would be very expensive to get powder coated again. The introduction of any color on the body just didn't seem right, hence the silver paint, Rod is also a Patina guy, just like me haha. So the decision was practically made for him, Silver patina paint with green wheels and green interior!
oh man I love this Ford.
🤤🤤 beautiful
Wow! 🔥What a pipe dream! 🔥
I love that it's not chopped!
Right! looks so good
Damn that paint job!
Yeah! Pretty sweet!
Great Job on the Video
Thank you 🙏
