I think I figured you out, my friend. lol You don't seem to put on "airs" at all when you create work/videos. I (and I'd like to say we) can hear a real sensitivity and warmth to your character through your videos and book.Your point of view and personality, though close to the chest, are magnetic. I know you plan to keep your presence on social media fairly professional; and, I am not sure we will ever meet the "REAL" Florian behind it all. Nevertheless, you have become a REAL source of mindfulness and escapism to me and those in these comments! I hope you enjoy/have enjoyed your holiday!

Thank you for your generosity in creating these detailed and useful video. Great tips! It’s often these small adjustments that make all the difference.

I enjoy not only the tips, but the rationale behind them. With an understanding of the reason for an action, it is easier to remember and more useful for adapting to one's own throwing techniques. Thank you.

Your videos have been invaluable in learning to throw. Just from watching you do it in other videos, I’d started to use slip/moisture from the wheel to keep the clay wet. It’s so sort of gratifying to learn that’s something you are intentional about. Makes me feel like I’m headed in the right direction.

Short and sweet indeed! The slip one and the last tip my teacher taught me and it immediately made my pots look much more refined

Biggest thing i look for in instructional/educational youtubers is the willingness to showcase mistakesand errors. If a 'tuber doesn't ever (appear to) mess up, ten it leads me to doubt their actual expertise. I thouroughly enjoy your content and have learned a lot from it, to the point where I'll be looking at getting into ceramcs myself. :) Thanks for all the inspiration and keep it coming. :)

Thank you for yet more tips. I always learn something I can take back to the wheel, as I move from beginner to, well, something a bit less beginner-ish. Having read in your book about some of this, I was particularly grateful for a video.

Thank you so much for all of your videos. I thoroughly enjoy them. I started reading your book during my husband and I's most recent anniversary trip and I've been slowly reading it since (because I don't want it to end)

I just started throwing about a month ago and now I'm OBSSESSED with your videos! Everything always looks so consistent and smooth and I know that I have a very long way to go before I get there, but it's honestly encouraging because the way you show everything makes it feel like anyone can do it.
If I could ask an odd question: How much force do you impart on the clay when centering? I always feel like I have to push REALLY HARD to get it to center and adjust on the wheel head, almost like I'm trying to drive my palm into the clay. Should it be easier than that or am I missing something?

I really want to try pottery and I was wondering what a good wheel would be for a complete beginner while being relatively cheap (in case I for some reason decide it’s not something I enjoy) something in the 100-250 USD$ range

I feel like I always collect way too much slip on my hands that I constantly need to throw aside into a bucket. Do you think that means I’m using too much water? I notice you said to keep the pots very wet in other videos so you don’t hit dry spots and mess it up.
