- On our way back to Canada, we had a layover at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. We decided to hit up the Premium Lounge to eat some food, relax, and freshen up. This was one of the better lounges we've been to yet, and we wanted to share our experience with everyone. This is our Premium Lounge Review from Terminal 2 of Guangzhou Airport.
The lounge had comfy lounge chairs, tables and chairs for eating, and even some massage chairs. There was buffet style Chinese and Western food, as well as packaged food that you could take with you onto your flight. The drink selection was really great as well with alcoholic options, juices and sodas, and coffee machines for all your caffeinated beverage needs. The best part about the lounge was the showers, we were able to freshen up before out flight, which was huge since we would be sitting on the plane for 16 hours!

Nice review. Were the food and drinks included with the Priority Pass or did you have to pay for them in the lounge?
Thanks! Everything was included with the priority pass, we didn't have to pay for anything, and they even had additional snack type food that you could take with you onto your flight.

@@WeekendMuse Absolutely! Especially if you have a long haul flight, it's great to have a meal and some snacks, and even take a shower if you have time :)
Tia and Andy Agreed. Would you recall if the massage chairs were available to guests? We saw another video of the same lounge and the area of the massage chairs was cordoned off.
@@WeekendMuse The massage chairs were in another room, but when we took a look around, we didn't see it blocked off. The Priority Pass app says the use of them are complimentary. Perhaps they are roped off during certain times?
Do you just pay for your visit there? I have a 12 layover from Yvr and would like to use the lounge if I decide not to fo exploring Guangzhou
We used our priority pass to get into the lounge, however I believe they also offer the option to pay per entrance.
Muslim food available?

Tia and Andy were ultimately heading to Shaoguan, Fenghuang, and Beijing so we won’t be spending much time in Guangzhou unfortunately.. it looks really great just from the airport alone

We just did a few trips to China, we're back in Canada now, slowly getting our videos edited and posted :) China has become one of our favourite places to travel though, and we are trying to maximize our visa's before they expire by going to a new area every year!
Hi how must is the cost and do we need to book? I have 12hours transit
When we went it was around $40 USD per person. We did not have to book in advance but we visited quite awhile ago so we're unsure if that's changed.
@@TiaandAndy it is now closed due to COVID-19 till further notice. Called them this morning no answer. Got a friend in Guangzhou check it and was told this information. China will lift travel ban on 8 January 2023. Hope will open the Lounge again.
