I hear money spoken of here. As a Christian, and believer that both old and new testament scriptures are the inspired word of the most high God, I read that the tithe was to be from agricultural produce only. Viz. Crops and livestock. Also the word of God in Numbers, I believe, declares that the tithe was to be the Levites inheritance, and God was to be Aaron, the high priests inheritance. There are so many scriptures in the law of Moses that specify what commodities are to be tithed. I am not a decendant from the nation of Israel, but I do know that the tithing message has been abused and misquoted /misunderstood by Christian pastors, for gain, and to bring fear to the brethren. Please show me where tithe in the law of Moses was to be of money. God called the tithe holy, because it was not of mans manufacture. Only God can cause crops to grow, rain to fall, livestock to procreate, etc. I know that for the festival tithe, the tithing people were allowed to exchange their tithe for money, to buy drink and food, to celebrate before God. (Deutoronomy 14:22-26.) I would like to revise/correct my paper on tithing, with respect to the church of Jesus Christ. So if Rabbi has some gem of wisdom vfor me from the Torah, please comment.

Can you bring forward any bible verse where a tithe was received as money? Nowhere in the bible was there a tithe on monetary earnings. Biblical tithes under Mosaic Law were only from the increase of the land - produce and livestock.

Avraham set the precedent when he gave Melchizedek 10% of his war booty from the war of the nine kings.

@@ijunkie Abram submitted a one-time honorarium to Melchizedek in exchange for wine & bread. If this was setting a precedent, it wasn't any instruction for continuous tithing. There's no biblical evidence he ever "tithed" again or that he declared it as any act of faith. He also gave all those items away, not just 10% of them.

It's called a Terumah which is 2.5% which sanctified the 1st 10th, then the 2nd 10% of which 30% of it goes to orphans & widows.
I have never heard about the breakdown of a seder,
    thankyou for explaining!!!🔥💥🔥

    Tithes was NEVER money. EVER!

The tithe was to feed the priests. But my question is: can't the money be given to them to buy the food? Wouldn't it still be considered as tithing? Also, if tithing is food alone, how can i tithe if i am not a farmer because it's required to give your first fruit? Another question: if money isn't tithing, why did Jesus commend the woman's mite who gave money (which was very small)

@@shadowprodify PLain and simple... tithing was never money. It was a tenth of their produce. fruit, herbs, spices etc. Not money. Money was accepted as ALMS, not a tenth of your wages or income.

@@shadowprodify i addressed every question and point except for if you wasnt a farmer. I said you can give alms. That's money. But giving money doesn't mean a requirement to give a tenth of your income as a law. People give. Its good to give. Don't mistake that for the law given. The law is clear that the tithe was produce for the levitical priests. That's all. Don't make it more than what it is. As far as if you weren't a farmer... then would it apply to you? If you don't have a job and make no money, does tithing your income apply to you?

Gentile pastors have no authority from God to receive tithes and offerings from jews or gentiles, because God ordained the Levi tribe of Israel, to receive tithes and offerings from the children of Israel, according to the law [ Hebrews 7:5 ].
If you are not from the levitical priesthood tribe of Israel, and you are using the levitical priesthood law of God, to receive tithes and offerings from jews or gentiles, you are robbing the churches of their money.
The tithers need to take their tithes and offerings to Jerusalem, and give them to the Levi tribe of Israel, according to the law. And if you refuse to take your tithes and offerings to the Levi tribe of Israel, it is written, cursed is everyone that continues not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them [ Galatians 3:10-12 ].
Preachers can be rewarded for doing the work of the Lord [ Luke 10:7 ] and [ 1 Timothy 5:18 ].
If the preacher or pastor is poor, the church can give to them freely.
If a brother or sister is poor, the church can give to them freely.
If your neighbor is poor, the church can give to them freely.
Jesus said, it is more blessed to give than to receive [ Acts 20:35 ]. Paul said, God loves a cheerful giver [ 2 Corinthians 9:7 ]. And James said, you show me your faith without works, and I will show you my faith by my works [ James 2:18 ].

In the same way, the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should receive their living from the gospel.....
But I also have a question on the process of tithing. I hear people say there are 3 types of tithes. The one in numbers, and two in deutronomy but I have to do more research.
