      It is better to have one parent than none. I’m not adopted, but I live with my single mom. I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ve become a successful junior in high school who has participated in several nationally-acclaimed programs. I already have 3 universities offering me full tuition scholarships. If my mom can do it, you can.

    A hope which survived my darkest days
    The chance to glimpse your lovely face

    Hidden in the cold damp snow
    A struggle for the strength to grow
    You were wanted so very much

    I waited for you to arrive

    It should not be just adopt a child to be mistreated unfairly but must have a love that comes from the heart 100% for an adopted child as your own. If you cannot truly love a child then don't dare to adopt. Heard about an adoptive white parent who can't love a child of 3 yrs old Asian girl as their own so it's best they should not adopt a child but they should give birth to their own than hurting an adopted child from another alien country. Hope there shouldn't be any racists against Asian in the future.

    • @mypapalovesme284
      @mypapalovesme284 6 лет назад +2

      Romans 12
      9 Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. 10 Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.

    • @mypapalovesme284
      @mypapalovesme284 6 лет назад +2

      Remember to do background check on adoptive parent before give in for adoption. It shouldn't be too easily to adopt a child. A child is not an animal to be mistreated. Children are human beings. Train them well and they will soon learn to love you back in the end. It takes patient to care for a child until they can take care of themselves. That is.

    • @actuallyxanna774
      @actuallyxanna774 6 лет назад +5

      Wendi Lyfe Adopting a child is the furthest thing from easy.. They don't treat them like animals and they do background checks.. Hence the reason they have home studies and so many requirements in order to adopt.. So I don't think they just pawned this baby off like it was nothing.. China is very strict about their rules so I think they know what they are doing in terms of this

    Is a single woman can adopt a child? I tried inquiring but they said single woman is not.qualified for adoption. I am inspired with this.

      Hello, thanks for your inquiry! Adoption eligibility requirements vary from country-to-country. You can view all of the criteria from the countries we work with on our website at www.holtinternational.org/adoption/criteria.php 😊

      Hi Evelyn, speaking the language is not a requirement, but we definitely encourage parents to get to know the culture and country that they are adopting from!

    Why so many people adopt kids from China? And those people who came with Ellia were her parents?

    • @HoltInternational
      @HoltInternational  6 лет назад +4

      Hi Lucie, there are lots of reasons that people adopt from China. There are thousands of children who are waiting for families, and the Chinese government has developed a good process for adoption, making it a relatively stable and quick process. The people who came with Ellia were her caregivers at the orphanage, and it was a very touching moment to witness as Liz was able to meet the people who had been caring for Ellia for the first part of her life!

    If you could tell your daughter one thing rn what would it be....... How about an I love you??!! not a “where in it together” Like what the heck lady and then she says, “this part is going to be worse for her” ... I don’t get it. This should be a beautiful moment in each of your lives, you should love and accept each other with open arms, YES it may be new and challenging but never scary or saddening!!

      Actually Jasmine, the moment that a child meets their new adoptive parents is often traumatic. We believe that in the long run, adoption is in the best interest for these children, but in the moment they are being taken from everything that they are used to, which can be very scary. Our best adoptive parents are sensitive and understanding of the reality of what the child is about to go through, and are willing to meet them where they are. With time though, bonding and connection begins to happen!

      Jasmine…adoption is not easy! This kid was two so she had attachments, language, local culture and habits and all that was ending. This mother is smart. She was gearing up for the trauma, sadness, even anger that this kid could have. She was about to give her a new beautiful life but the child might not know that yet

      @@mercedesjaay I had a friend who adopted from China and she was the one traumatized. She hadn’t thought through how hard it was to take on a kid as a single mother. She and they got through it but there were so many unknowns, expenses, sacrifices, and sleepless nights.
