    This story and the people of Gander still melt my heart. I hope they’ve all been blessed with happiness and joy, as they most certainly deserve the best. ❤ One day I’ll visit and pay my personal respects as an American to such an amazing group of people. ❤

    Newfoundlanders are definitely the kindest, friendliest people, so the “plane people” were in good hands. We vacationed there a few years ago from Ontario and the experience was very memorable.

    the rest of newfoundland did way more than gander for those 2 weeks, 8,000 people stranded in st.john's the capital city.

      Not a competition. The story of Gander is representative of the entire province, and that has been pointed out in the documentaries
