- Free Camp, Country Pub Camp, Unique Aussie Animals, Quirky Pub, Silo Art and more! Who knew there was so much to see as we towed our caravan along the Western Hwy in the Victorian Mid-West.
We have been travelling this Hwy for many years but never took the time to stop and explore. Well, when we did stop to smell the roses, we were pleasantly surprised to find what the towns of Dimboola and Kaniva have to offer. Come and join us as we discover some amazing gems in Rural Vic.

Another great one Paul. Had the honour of being the local copper in Kaniva back in the early 2000's. Great farming community, fantastic genuine country folk. The fondest of memories of this lovely little country town.

Hi guys another great video, Bob's pub stay in Kaniva is one of the best. Dont forget to stop over in Bordertown as well as they have a fantastic RV park by the lake, its only $10/night.

We love Kaniva. They have a lovely little Caravan Park near the Pool. The Puppet Shop is a must see. And Bob's Pub stay is great. Another excellent video

Paintings of Dimboola landscapes by noted Australian painter Sidney Nolan, who was stationed in the area while on Army duty in World War II, can be found in the National Gallery of Victoria.
I have an an iTech PS2000, 160Ah battery box. It's my emergency backup - well worth the price.
Will check that out next time we visit the National Gallery in Vic (probably with the grandkids in Jan 😉)

Hi guys, another informative video.
Dear are not native but another introduced species for farming. They are becoming a real pest in some areas as escapees from deer farms. Travelling to work through State Forests I have to watch out for pigs, goats, wombats, kangaroo's and now deer, oh dear!

Saddened to find out a few weeks ago that the Windmill Cafe had closed down - it was a must stop on our way to and from Adelaide.
@@charlie-jay yeah hopefully the efforts of the locals start to attract more passing traffic. The town is definitely worth a visit 👌
@@beyondthegreyoz We are definitely making plans to stay at The Commercial with our van (we use the toilets at the windmill every time we go through, which is about 4 times per year.)

@@jeffscott5312 it’s an Akubra Coober Pedy, colour is Bluegrass. Bought it from Hats by the 100 in Southport QLD. But I imagine you can get it anywhere that sell Akubra’s
