River Dee Salmon - Lower Crathes West Durris on the Mill Pool

The River Dee suffered from unusually low water late in the season of 2018 and the salmon fishing was particularly hard. Tiny flies and stealth were required to tempt any fish lying in the pools. This fish while far from by best fish was very satisfying give the conditions. She fell for a 1/4" Red Frances just upstream and 4m off the 2nd jetty on the North Bank. A classic Lower Crathes West Durris lie on this fabulous beat on a fabulous River!
