Solid work really inspiring! Random thought what if you maximized that back panneling by painting it with that chalkboard paint? That way it could serve a dual role as something you could doodle on with chalk marker! Or flip it out for an eraserboard.

advise: add reduced friction tape to the bottom so that you don't scratch table tops. Its like $4 and it is basically felt tape but heavy duty. IF you glue magnets to the screen it can stay closed with the magnetic tape. For the carry straps try using two top "O" hooks with a clip strap. For the back board why not use 1/4" or 1/8" board. See if you can get more red oak in super thin board.

This was a cool video! Your producer is funny 😂 Definitely can’t wait to see behind the scenes when you make your brother’s!

So... there used to be this stuff called underlayment; it was a specific kind of underlayment but I don't remember what it was for* (sorry about that). It had a nice side and a crap side and it was only 1/4" thick. IF they still make the stuff (and they may not... I'm an old lady and haven't been to a hardware store in years...), you can cut the front side and back side differently without having to use a router, then glue the sides together (crap sides together, of course) and stain however. It IS a ply-wood material, but I think it will be cheaper and lighter than your red oak. Just my two cents.
    * Maybe for laying floor tile...? It was back in the 80s and I've blocked most of that out, lol!
