Whoever bought your bike got a vintage YZ better than most privateers raced in 79. Unless you sold it for 6000 Id find it hard to believe you made a profit with all the parts and time you put into it. Damn it, now you have me wanting a yz too
Wow! I had that same bike as a teenager. I remember it being really fast. Good times back then. I would love to get a vintage bike like that but my wife says no. So I guess I'll just stick with my fuel injected four strokes that we have today.
That shirt, those jeans and body language... But old or not you can rip a bike alot better then me. Can tell you've put some time in on a dirt bike. Thanks for the vid.
I live in Harrodsburg,Ky. How close are you? I traded an old DT for a 79 YZ250 and I'd like to talk to you about where you got some of your stuff on this one from. You would like my restored 75 Can Am TNT250.
the sound of a 2 stroke, ripping along, imagine trying to ride like that with a 4, ha, sadly, no ripping like a 2 stroke; one of the greatest joys is ripping through a fresh plowed field and feeling the rear tire sink and propel you like a rocket forward,,,,,,,,,,,
@@tonyt8805 I was 13 in 79’, got a brand new IT175, that was a lot of bike for little shit like me but once I had it for a week it fit like a glove. Rode to school and everywhere else , I miss those times.
@64BuzzKillington $1500. Buyer has since become a friend. I see him regularly at the races (ahrma dot org). Also, if you don't know this site yet, check it out: vintagemx dot us
Old dude can rip

Sounds and looks healthy. Pretty easy to get that front end up I see.
Best of luck on the auction.
Wow, would never expect this kind of riding from you, NICE.
Looks like a great bike! I rode the wheels off mine in competition..
sounds great, looks awesome. I can almost smell it,thanks for the memories....

dont blame the wife
@@jorge1988 Wife says that I have enough bikes and I don't need anymore.😂😂 Can't really blame her we have 5 of them.
@@williampollock1274 yeh but we both know a man that loves bikes can never have enough
How the hell is it u can tell that I'm old? I am, but how do ya know? I thought wearing a helmet and mask might have concealed that fact.

Who makes the exhaust pipe?
Do you remember the weight and seat height?
Yammie invented the monoshock system
Where did you buy the silencer from? Nice job restoring the bike also!
Great sound!
That is a beautiful bike!
Wish I still had mine
Esta es una moto que en el año que salió fue muy visado por los que les gusta el moto cros por gran potensia
Those pro forms racing pipes really add some rip to the old two strokes the stock pipes just dont have the technology.
Simon: Iwas not expecting that...................
Let that monster eat!
Air cooled bikes were bad to seize if ran hard cold ,, I would let it get more heat in it before hitting it hard
Good rider. That bikes hauls ass even with his heavy weight.. she ia a screamer
my bud has a 79 kx250 but not as in good is shape as your yz
For an old guy he rides!!
Next will be bumps and jumps
79 and latter suck big on vibration and low on horsepower
