Very cool stuff. Did anyone learn anything? How was fuel burn across the group generally? How many exactly made it back without landing out? What were the engine issues encountered and what engines were they?
All good questions. So a couple guys learned that they should have topped up their gas tanks because they ran out just shy of the first LZ. I landed with a half liter of gas and learned my burn rate had increased. A carb rebuild fixed that in the weeks to follow. 16 guys actually left the ground and two had to turn back for motor issues almost immediately. Two ran out of gas on first leg. 12 landed at first LZ successfully. 2 stayed due to engine issues and the other 10 made it all the way back for the full cross country flight. Not sure on the motor types for those that had issues or the specifics related. But maybe they will comment here! Thanks!
@@PPGExplorer haha trying to find some here in Central fl. I usually go to lake Wales but it's an hour and a half drive. Looking for people near me. There are some but don't fly very often
Wow! Flat flat flat! Not a hill in sight! Well done guys! Love the video quality! ;-)
Thanks Craig. It’s beautiful to fly but I long for some mountains. Mountain flights coming soon!

Thanks Dave. Let’s do one together while I’m here. Maybe one way and have the wives pick us up for lunch!
Looks like you had a great day of flying. No pictures of the breakfast though ? 😕
Was a great time and breakfast! Thanks!
ITS LIKE .... MAGIC.🙃
Cool Flight. What is your burn rate on the H3 ? My Piper is killing me at 7L /hr.
Just rebuilt my carb so I am right at about 2 hours of flight for 13L.
Awesome!!
Thanks Steve.
Very cool flight. I'm still waiting to do my first xc. Just nervous to fly alone on an xc
Thanks Lawman. Better to have someone with you for your first one. Find a fly buddy!
