My mom was born and raised in Butte. She went to school with Evel Knieval and his brother. His dad owned a car dealership for years. My grandpa owned the Firestone store on Mercury St. Lots of Montana history in Butte.
Enjoyed your visit in Butte. I went to school with Evel Knievel, better known to me as Robert C Knievel. I lived across the ally from his cousins, Don and Curt. Their dad was one of the owners of Knievel Imports, VW dealer.
Alex and family. Butte MT looks like the Wild West. Very interesting town. So much to see and buy. Probably a lot of haunted places. Well my darling Alex, until next time. Please, take care and stay safe. Love ya 🍺🇺🇸❤️🙏🌈👍🕊😇🌞🌹
Absolutely love Montana! Been there as a kid and as an adult! There are some cool things in that antique store! I really love the Halloween pumpkin guy!
They are called head frames. The city wasn’t built ontop of the mines. You could have talked about The Pitt which you can look into. That empty lot with the stairs was called the M and M and was the most famous landmark cafe. Rediscoveries is a great shop. You should have taken your kids to the mining museum. And sorry. You’re little speech about empty top floors was totally naive. You missed the landmarked allys and back streets. Land of Magic steak house. The Serbian and Chinese and Irish history. This wasn’t your best video. Sorry. Do some research.
Alex, if you get a chance, there's quite a few cool antique shops in the flathead valley in the Kalispell and Columbia Falls area. Maybe go pay them a visit.
You should take a trip to Madison, Indiana. It's a great little town on the Ohio river and has a lot of antique shops and 2 big antique malls off the main street. You might want to take 2 days to check it out.
The basement of the court house has a massive coal fired boiler that was once used to melt the snow off the side walks. I have a few pictures of it. There are tunnels connecting several of those buildings too.
I'm sorry these Butte videos are very confusing for me. Is this place toxic or not? The open mine seems to be a huge problem and the frigging town is boarded up and dead. Why am I supposed to be excited about vintage Pyrex if birds are dying there? I don't understand. 😐
@@annerchisline9641 sounds like you may have been misinformed. The town is not dead at all. Some of the old historic buildings are fragile and impractical but Butte is sprawling beyond the old town strip.
just butchered a 1914 monster of a upright piano, scrapped the lumber (must have been an entire tree) and sold the Cast Iron backplane @ the metal recyclers.......
Alex! All those recent videos of you shopping at antique/collectible stores, often without buying a single thing, and when you finally buy something, what do you choose? A satanic poster that creeps me out and would be one of the last things I'd ever want to look at, let alone buy or display in my home.😱🫣🤪 I guess your quirkiness is what keeps your channel interesting.😂 Carry on....

That’s so cool!
My family is from Butte. Parents graduated from Boys Central and Girls Central back in the day.
Why does ge still have a utube channel?
I believe that device you were questioning is a stencil cutter.🙂
I quit drinking during covid
Thanks for sharing your adventures ❤️💛🧡
the streetscapes of the downtown remind me a lot of that place you got the showcases for your store.
I had that "War of the Worids" comic book as a kid. Think it was my intro to H.G. Wells.

"Marvin the Satanic Magician" looked like an old spook show poster.
I went to Canada to visit the National Parks of BC, Alberta , Alex comes down South to visit antique/junk stores...!
Satanic Magician? What the *Hell* ??🤭

A toxic waterhole that birds even avoid🤷🏾♂️ 😅 (I'm 2 and a half hours away)

Goes into shop and says "You might find things they haven't sold yet ."...????
My husband and I enjoyed our visit to Butte some years ago. Had an awesome steak for dinner at Casagrandas Steakhouse.

Any relatives of Shirley Elisabeth Ross Mills watching?
reminds me of a Terance or Jasper Conrad 1960s chair
Looks like a stenciling machine
I had the ek scramble van.
I'm enjoying these episodes with all the fam 😃Has Abigail seen the batmobile crocs that have just gone on sale (in the UK anyway)? They look fab!!😃
I follow a SF fan out of Bozeman. But really, watching your tour of Butte made me miss being able to walk much due to my bad back.
Thanks for tour of shops.😊
I'm from helena, 45 minutes from butte. I was just in butte yesterday!
It's a stencil maker.

@@notthatkaren3868 Thanks for the reply and explanation. I really did misunderstand the situation there.
I was born in Butte
Come to Abilene Kansas. It's a small town full of antique shops.
Love the poster!
A joke...
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Downtown seems so empty of people, though I'm sure it's simply a matter of what time of day you are there. Still...
If you know about MT 4th largest state and yet only about 2 million people in the whole state...there is more cows than people here haha
Looks like a giant label maker lol
I live in Lewistown MT
What a depressing looking area. Thanks for letting me know a place that I don’t have to visit.
The only treasure you'll find it Butte are prereleasers, poverty, and meth. Place has gone to hell
Butte Mt. the entire place is a antique store...!
