I've moved my rugs, plants, and we have the movers take 20+ guns every PCS for 12 years. No issues! We drive two cars. Mine is full of plants and the animals. His is full of ammo and cleaning supplies. You can also claim the weight of what's in your cars as a partial PPM.
I don’t know if it is particular to your area, but my husband is active duty Army and we have had movers move guns before, just not ammo because of possible high temperatures during the moving process. My husband usually packages them up in bags to prevent rust and they put them in a box labeled high value and log everything in great detail.
I think I missed the fact that you worked at a methadone clinic...admirable line of work. Moving sucks but at the same time moving is so exciting. Definitely picking up the camera helps me cope with some loneliness. Nice job and good luck on the move!!
I hate having to get rid of my plants for pcsing. I gave a ton to friends, I'm selling 1. I'm going to try to pack a few cuttings of pothos I have just cut and put in water to propagate. I am excited for our move coming up. But getting ready / decluttering family of 5 and a doggo🐶 will take some time etc. When we moved overseas years ago I did bag up folded clothes into the bags you can take air out of and bagged up some of my children's toys in ziplocks as well. Then clear totes for things like craft items, books. Etc. I'm hoping to just pass along lots of our things etc. I have surgery in a couple of weeks so plan is to do as much as I can before then. Sorry to ramble just nice seeing someone else talking about this and learning from others etc. 😁🥰
@@Anchored1994hey sorry for the late reply but yes i did end up packing everything myself except items i didn't know how to pack and they just asked that i labeled any boxes with important/fragile items. then we just signed a list for household goods like she said in the video of basically everything that was was on the moving truck. they moved everything into our home before we even made it there lol

You can have guns on base or do you live off post?

This is so helpful! We will be moving overseas by April. Where did you buy the comforter bags?
