It's been a long time since I've made a character tribute for Vikings, but I knew that I'd have to do it for the final season. Ivar the Boneless was a phenomenal character, and I always planned to make a video for him. This is the only one I've made for Ivar, and I didn't know his scenes very well, so I'm not quite sure how I feel about this video haha. Regardless, I hope everyone enjoys.
Also I can't make any promises, but I hope to be able to make edits for Ubbe, Hvitserk, and maybe even Ragnar. But I can't say when they could come out.

In the end he realised that and I think he regretted how he treated hvisterk the only one who really stood by him in the end .... He died the same as ragnar he chose his fate ....

Ivar went there to die. He knew, like his father before him. He wished for war until his final moments, and that wish was granted. And shockingly, the final season made me care about him. What a great character.

Ivar is the most smart and clever Viking to ever lived. He headed into every battle leading his people. He crawled and will himself to be a legend. He work for every single thing that he has.
Ivar ( Ivarr Ragnarsson ) didn't ''crawled '' ! He was not a ''crippled'' Viking Warlord. He died near Dublin, Ireland in 873 !
His is Ragnar's legacy. He is the true meaning of Viking. He is my Fav. "Be Ruthless" no one can act a cripple role like he did

Ivar the boneless Lothbrok. What a character!!! He was mesmerizing, devious, enchanting, evil and loving. I have a bad boy/good girl complexity with this character. Will miss him so.😟😟😟😟💔💔
He was by far my favorite Vikings character, His death had me crying. He went out on his terms.

That convo between ivar and ragnar on the thrones in the middle of the night was one of my favourite scenes out of all 89 episodes. There was more emotion displayed in that scene than almost any other.

I guess there was a lot of people who didn't like that the writers had Hvitserk say "Just leave me alone with my brother for a moment" I think it was great.
Look at it this way, Hvitserk was always overshadowed by his brothers and pretty much everyone else. He really wanted attention and glory. But, now he has attention and it's all eyes on him. He realizes, he doesn't want it. He just wants to be alone with his brother because, he now doesn't know what to do. His character was developed a lot like Rollo's actually. Always overshadowed even though he was clearly a smart and talented warrior. But never had the same discipline and always had someone looking after him. I really didn't like Ivar's morals obviously, but what a great ending and character development to the very end for him to show he is only human.
Man this is such a good comment. Hvitserk is so similar to rollo. They both go through extremely similar character arcs (at least at first). Many people don't notice, but the characters easily parallel one another.
@@Jessislegend Agreed, it sucks to watch them go through those things and make those choices. But, it seems he finally made a choice and he is happy with it

Ivar proved in this series what confidence in oneself can accomplish. He didn’t second guess himself at all after Ragnar told him he was the chosen one for the ppl. He is right there with Ragnar for me, ppl who like Bjorn more can’t put down that they watched him grow up through the series. Bjorn is great but not as great as Ivar, not even close.

The Actor has a bright future such nice acting is rare to be seen i was watching Vikings since 1st season and this last season broke me so hard i can't even watch it 2nd time eventho i watched last 5 over 3 times awsome Series awsome actors all of them! Happy new year and i wish that 2020 will never come back again

The best character in the series after the death of Ragnar. Ubbe, Bjorn and Hvitserk don't even show up.
If we saw more of Ivar before the death of Ragnar. Viking wouldn't have lost fans at all. Bjorn was not lovable as Ivar
@@udokaokoh3936 No Bjorn was so boring compared to Ivar. Ivar was ruthless but his character was far more compelling than Bjorn who was always unsatisfied with everything he did and happended to him 🤷🏻♀️ I only watched the whole show to see what would happen to Ivar.

Ivar had many faults just like his brothers though I believe his time with the Rus made him realize many of his faults. He returned home ready to face the judgement of the people he tormented and decided his fate just like his father. Shall no one forget, Ivar the Boneless. Scourge of the world.

I believe the point of the video is no matter how crippled how down you are or how spite the world would be upon you never give up never give down always fight always keep fighting no matter where we are or who we are and how people view of us we have to show we have courage to stand now only courage the strength within ourselves to put our mind to what we are thriving 4 the goal in mind, as it has been said mind-body empower your well-being who ever views those of us crippled and down will fear our capabilities because we will not fall until our last given breath.

@@T_Man__ Ragnar died an atheist. He said he didn't believe in the god's existence in 4x15, so it would be surprising for him to end up in valhalla

@@mehmeterenball9125 I think the seer lied in that scene. It would be a bad look to say the great Ragnar Lothbrok didn't go to valhalla. Either way, I could be wrong, we'd have to ask Michael Hirst to find out for sure :)

Oh my Jess.... let me first say, this was great surprise to see you upload again. It was expected and unexpected at the same time, because after i found out Ivar has passed away, i had two names in my head, yours and Zurik ones. I felt joy, that i know how the series will end, but at the same time great sadness inside me, that its an end of a show i loved with me entire heart (even tho i dissagree with some plot lines, decisions). You ask why i had these two names in my head ? its simple, because you two are one of few editors who focuses on the emotional part of characters and i must say, i really enjoy your styles, the passion, the amotsphere you always create.
The song choices are without doubt absolute win. I enjoyed the way how you told the story in just 7 minutes, focusing right on emotions, feelings and pain with the diesase, ivar was struggelling since his birth. (Nice catch with quote of turning eyes blue) i never realised that it will have some impact in the later of the show. in some way, i didnt see Ivar as a cripple anymore, because he had proven many times, he was stronger than most of healthy warriors who went to battle. So thank you for such an explanation and realisation of the great battle he was strugelling through.
I was expecting to see some tactical focused video, how exactly he won the battles and intelligence, but in the end i am really satisfied you chosed the emotional topic of his character. Its well explained, music follows so well, with little face expressions which give it the right feeling and i must say, i had a little tear and felt pitty for him :/

I felt the same way the end of a show that i love and between a character that I love and admire die into the show.. I am sad beyond control that When I realize what is mean when Ivar said about breaking my bones For a moment I felt like that....i wish they could i have make him survive through the show for the seek of his fan.. I just love how the fact that rollo is the shadow of ragnar lothbrok and vinserc is the shadow of ivar I find that very intresting and I love how they linked that together perfectly it shows that ragnar and ivar are the same like father like son and I love how ragnars sons have different parts of him
