I was thinking if Brock Bowers and Terrion Arnold were still there they could do what Houston did in last year's draft picks 2 and 3. Right after pick 13 if those 2 still there you trade the 46th overall pick(2nd rounder) to the Saints and you could pick up Brock Bowers and a nice db like Terrion Arnold and the only question remaining is AR's healthiness with a Top 5 O-Line they could even beat out Houston for the AFC South but if that happens my predictions Colts:13-4(4-2 division rec) Texans 12-5(4-2 division rec) Jags 11-6(3-3 division rec) Titans 8-9(1-5 division rec) So realistically this could happen and the AFC South could have 3 playoff teams like they could have had last season
i just love this kind of talk! the afc south will still be looked at as the butt end of the afc, but i don't think the people who talk about football are on to how tough the south is going to be over the next several years. the records are going to show a so so division, but they aren't going to put 2 + 2 together. the records are going to be so so because of the play of the entire afc south skill set is going to improve and the teams know each other so well. i think the south is going to start going deep into the playoffs over the next several years.
Need more evidence.. AR was off to a good start. If he wouldn’t have gotten hurt and he continued to play like he did those 4 games and improved weekly, I would agree with you. But as of now, Stroud is miles ahead.
@MathisNFL ...woah is correct! I love what I saw from the limited sample size. I'm a Colts fan, but I can't say ANYONE drafted last year is better than CJ today. How could you....dude smashed records and now lives in the history books. Let's not pile on our guy AR like this just yet, please......
@@ferrynpalmer3875As a Bills fan it’s kind of just more of the potential I see in him. He has everything Josh Allen had coming into the league and more. If he commits himself on working on his accuracy I think he could be unstoppable with a good weapon or two. Should be fun to watch him this fall.
Very good video. I agree with you 100%. AR, JT, MPJ and Downs will become the quadruplets. If J Woods comes back and reaches full potential and Pierce catches the occasional long bomb TD the Colts will be a tough out. Use pick #15 on best CB or DE that falls to them. I am hoping one of the top 2 DE falls to 15.
they fell just short a whole lot lately so it's not really that shocking. I could see them turning a corner IF AR becomes a franchise QB, but even in college dude was injury prone.
I get the thought to go defense in the first round but I will say if Brock Bowers is somehow there I take him. I just picture the RPO out of two tight end sets being an absolute nightmare to defend. Of course I'm still really high on Jelani Woods so invision both TE's causing problems.
@@MathisNFL He should. My only hope is he drops because the position he plays is undervalued. I'd have to double check but I think I saw that if he goes high enough he'll start off with a pretty high end contract for a TE.
Getting this far with minshew was good enough but knowing that we have a young qb who can run pass and we have targets with mpj and josh downs and a rb with jt is scary enough and we have a good defense hopefully we can pull somthing good from the draft
I would vote for Brock Bowers if available and get some veteran help in secondary and dl , also get some oline in later draft picks and some other young receivers ...gettin Marvin Harrison Jr is a pipe dream unless they give up a lot to pick 3d or 4th
We need a difference maker at the LB positions to fill Leonard's spot. EJ Speed is adequate but we need an X-Factor player at the position. One that can cover, tackle and get to the QB. Someone like Edgerrin Cooper. Cooper DeJean at 15 and Referring Cooper at 46 would go a long way in making this team scarier. We need CB and S depth, and NB too for that matter as we got nothing behind Moore who still needs resigned. DeJean can step into any of these positions and play it at a Pro-Bowl level. Having a player that good and that versatile allows us to take the next best DB on the board in this draft or future drafts, regardless of position. Having a guy like that on the offensive line would also be a huge plus. Puni at 82? He can play any Oline position in a pinch and would be a potential upgrade over RG Will Fries this year and a potential replacement for Ryan Kelly next year. With all Kelly has been through, he could decide to retire early after his contract ends next year. It might behoove of us to take that into consideration this year as we get depth there.
It would be great, if someway somehow you could let go of D.C. Gus Bradley, I firmly believe that he will continue to lose critical games. His defense is predictable, opposing team's know this pattern. I said this before last year, it will continue 🏈, it's a pattern record that speaks for it self.
Let’s bring back Pittman and Moore, sign try to grab a veteran corner in Sneed or White. Grab Bowers or trade back for capital plus a receiver like Thomas Jr or Mitchell, then stack the defense with the rest of the draft
yk if Indy made the playoffs I genuinely think it’s the fastest rebuild of all time. a 4-12-1 season followed by a 10 win season and losing in the first round is genuinely the quickest rebuild of all time
Luck went 11-5 his first season the most ever for a rookie qb and led them to a playoff berth. That was coming off a 2-14 season without an injured Manning.
