There is something accidentally hilarious about Wolfhearts character (with his shadow hunting origins) reading that letter for Kagha and just going “Are you kidding me”
That dead boar you found, after the 2 brothers went to look for their sister, had "Bloodless" meat in it. I get a suspicion that was Astarion's handiwork, considering his condition.
It was a BUG in the dialogue options that started the fight (approximately 45:00) Instead of giving you the correct dialog options it only gave you a "continue" option and probably option 1 was to admit that you were one of the ones they were looking for. This also happened to me in another dialog and I loaded the last quick save and it solved the problem

I just have to say that I'm very grateful for your play style in this playthrough. The first BG3 playthrough I watched had no commentary and a player who made... questionable choices, just rushed through areas and rushed into battles even when everyone was pretty much at 1 HP, and NEVER talked to companions and never met Gale, Wyll, and others. You go over spells, you think out decisions, carefully explore areas, take a careful, tactical approach to battles both before and during, and talk all the time to your party members like an actual person would and its all so refreshing and I appreciate it so much. Thank you, Wolf.

You handled those creatures in the swamp really well regardless of how you thought it may go. You are using the spells and rolls effectively and getting those plus weapons for the others was a great move.

I outed Kagha, convinced her to let the tieflings stay, then went Goblin camp, released Halsin but didnt bring him out and convinced Minthara i would help her attack the Grove, then told everyone Minthara was coming. Big Helms Deep style defence of the Grove and after it Halsin just wandered in like a Boss and yelled at Kagha. It was good times.
Bro, that last fight, i feel your pain. I feel like some of these enemies dodge attacks wayyyy too much. The misses are too frequent overall. Even when the % is high, they still don't hit. Super frustrating.
I wish there was an option to turn off the % and just show my attack roll above my head or something. I feel better knowing I missed because I rolled a nat 1-4 than seeing 90% chance to hit and just miss.
@@RalinAura the option to toggle it would be fine with me but personally I like being able to see it. So it was annoying in games like jagged alliance 3 not being able to see it

Larian calls your wolf Lupus because the Latin name for the wolf species is Canis lupus 😊 Also FYI, you can unchain your wolf from you and he will stay put same as your companions. The pets just don't unchain by using G. You have to do it manually.
Hi, just wanted to say how much I've been enjoying your let'splay of this game. It makes it quite an immersive experience for me as I'm blind and can't play those games myself. I have read a lot of the novels set in the forgotten realms and it's odd that all of these places feel so familiar to me. Again thank you for doing this.
I know in your video you said to let you know what happens if you persuade Kagha instead of killing her. Well, I'm not sure if anyone else did so or not, so here is what happens based on my experience. After I found the letter in the tree and confronted her about it and the shadow druids went into their true form, I read Kagha's mind and then it gave me a dialog option akin to "you are so desperate to prove you are right that you have lost yourself." Then she comes to her senses and when the battle starts your just facing the shadow druids and all the other druids in the room are your allies. After you achieve victory Kagha says something like what a fool I've been and stops the spell to seal the grove and gives you a druid staff that gives you protection from druid entanglement spell and also has a special version of the entanglement spell. Of course my character is a druid, so I'm not sure if you only get said staff if you're a druid or not. After you rescue Helsin when you get back to the Grove you get to witness a scene of Helsin yelling at Kagha. I'll let you know if she's involved anymore in the story as I continue in the game.
I just looked it up, and the staff is called the pale oak, and you can only get it from Kagha if you a druid. It gives you "Faithwarden's Stride: Druid vines cannot Ensnare you and do not count as dificult terrain." And the spell: "Faithwarden's Vines: Vines sprout from the ground, turning it into difficult terrain and possibly Entangling creatures within." I have it on my character. It's pretty cool.
@@TheCrazyFox1231 I totally missed that part of the quest with my druid character. The dangers of doing a blind playthrough. I prioritized rescuing Halsin.
I'm far ahead enough (End of Act II) that I finally can start watching these again. :) Fun to watch different approaches, tactics and outcomes. I screwed up majorly at the start of Act II, but I didn't reload, that's how the dice roll.
After watching your play through of this on episode 1 I ended up purchasing the game. ❤ so far I’m still in act 1 and absolutely loving it one of the finest games I’ve played..
I assume you know this by now, you've probably already finished this playthrough, but you can cast longstrider on everyone in the party since it's a ritual, non-concentration spell.
@@bernardolavor Tough to say whether Larian intended it or not. I mean, in regular DnD 5e, longstrider is not a ritual spell and it only lasts 1 hour. So either way it is much more powerful in BG3.
I think it's pretty much a reality of things that min-maxing in games is just boring, and for some, stressful and sucks the joy out of it. Role playing, and to a degree just having fun with it all, is a lot better. It's not about winning, it's about having a journey, triply so in a D&D simulator!

"That would be pretty funny if you could actually get Astarion a bell" While I haven't heard about ones with bells specifically, I HAVE heard that you can get a dog collar and tell Astarion to wear it (which spurs a funny reaction from him).
I know those spiders only last till long rest and the bloodstains they left behind are just how the game handles them despawning, but it's fun to think that maybe Astarion had a bite out of them, even if that doesn't make much sense lol.
This was so funny. You're main character is just as useful as my main. In most fights i get 1-2 hits in while my companions wipe the floor with enemies. This was almost like looking at my own gameplay. You have a plan, a vision and you go for the hit and then *miss* like 80% of the time. Somehow it still always works out and you end up victorious :D

I am looking for a nightmare black dye. My team is crazy dark in nature that kills evil, it's such an irony how this game lets you walk the borderline or go full out any direction. I love your playthrough! The music is so good in this game.
My guy just wasted 4 out of 5 of the rarest dye in the game on camp clothes and common armor lmao. Funny cause I did the same thing on my first playthrough, just wasted it on some basic armor then spent hours checking various vendors for more. Except the Drake General dye is not sold by any vendors, it's a deluxe edition exclusive. Live and learn haha. Imo it looks especially good on plate armors, turns metal into gold.
18:30 Apparently Gnomes in lore can! Get all the benefits and none of the downsides!... well except having tentacles for a face. Haven't seen anyone play as a Gnome though so i have no idea if this fact is brought up.
i have completed all the quests now on my playthrouh i have 3 Long Days Rest, and i have looted the whole continet. Cauldrons and Rotten fish. got over 10k gold and rising. you could prob finish the game if you compare the time i have used in the 1 part.
I really like following you in your playthrough here. I like when you stick to doing stuff that makes you fail also the bad ones, but also know I would not hold it against you if you did a bit of load/reloading. It does show a lot that you've played through this before, which is both a nice guidance but also we dont really get reactions from you as you already know the options and what can happen. Thanks for the series, love it.
It's not a bug. It says "Resistance" - Not Resistant. It's more stating that it is the creatures Resistance level and then the arrows and explanation tell you the rest.
Ahh good stuff, didn't realize how old the playthrough was sorry. Really enjoying the long form playthrough btw so thanks heaps for all the effort you've put in :) @@WolfheartFPS
I played a lot of the early access and I know Larian made a lot of changes and stuff - but I don't remember the mephits being that tough or their tree place/home in the swamp being that big? It's crazy how similiar and yet still new and different the full release is xD Also, I know that the little cutscenes with the atagonists sort of follow a trajectory based on the players progress, but in my playing the full release I look at them as the roadmaps (sort of) for when I definitely should touch base with my companions and take a long rest (and pray for a visit from my Guardian, because I made him hot af).
I can't believe how lucky you got in that swamp fight. I've lost count how many times I've had a total party wipe now all because of entangle. Can't move, attacks are at disadvantage. Fights over before it begins
I got lucky with entagle. Try spreading your characters a bit so they don´t all get hit. But can´t deal with the stupid redcaps. They rush me and do stupid damage. (Guess I´ll have to do a full rest and burn all my spells again immediately.)
Not gonna lie, astarion being a vampire wasn't really a shock to me. He has the scar on his neck, and he just gives some vampire vibes. idk, still a great character though
Waiting for every episode to come out, really enjoying watching you play this amazing game! My laptop can't run it and I don't have a PS5 so thank you for letting me experience the game in such an entertaining way.
Still loving your Let's Play series 😊 I checked out your RUclips livestream evil playthrough too. Despite playing years of BG3 EA, I'm still learning new things from you, such as the spider egg being usable to get spiders to fight for you or that a letter in the grove exists. Never found that. I also think its interesting to compare your two playthroughs to my husband's solo run as well as mine. My solo run I'm trying to be a heroine of the little people who saves and frees all the small folk and fights against slavery. Lots of strong reactions against seeming evil, like not considering the devil's offer. My husband is playing as evil as they come.. both everyone in the druid grove and the goblin camps are dead, he's consuming lots of tadpoles, threatening companions, etc. Borderline dark urge level but he's playing a custom character. He just got to Act 2 and Im finishing up Act 1 going through the underdark. Your ranger is fun to watch as he's pretty good aligned, but you're more willing to consider morally ambiguous options and more willing to give some sass than me 😂 my husband is also more evil I'd say than your sorcerer. So both your saves are kind of between my husband and I's morality which is really fun for me to see how much gray area in morality they added
Found your channel recently because bg3, pretty sure this is your first let's play series. Dawg keep going with this stuff, your voice is calming and it's fun to watch your gameplay (especially since you know so much lore) just loving these videos! keep it up! (wouldn't say no to longer episodes)

resistance was not a bug. it clierly show, fire resistance down and even extra explanation fire demage is boubled :D couldnt hold myself :D
Yup this is true. I didn't realize that resistance can be positive or negative
"awesome, and the burst didn't even hurt my characters"
*Fern who just died in the burst*: 😢
I'm not in a position to play this at the moment so this has been the next best thing. Really enjoying it.
I lol'd so hard at the Laezel weapon antics, this was so good.
I'm in full Playthrough mode...all other games, no spoiler etc. Will still hit like...and This game is vast and I'm still in Act1.
Bro had the option to use talk no jutsu but instead chose to run the fade. Had me wheezing 😂😂😂
18:30 Apparently Gnomes in lore can! Get all the benefits and none of the downsides!... well except having tentacles for a face. Haven't seen anyone play as a Gnome though so i have no idea if this fact is brought up.
Comment for the algorithm. Also wanna say thank you again for keeping this hype train rolling, can't wait for September 6th.
Never thought I’d see someone kill them, knowing the powers you can gain.
I'm enjoying this, thank you. 😊
If you hit Leave Camp after your long rest, you port back to where you were when you hit Go to camp
i have completed all the quests now on my playthrouh i have 3 Long Days Rest, and i have looted the whole continet. Cauldrons and Rotten fish. got over 10k gold and rising. you could prob finish the game if you compare the time i have used in the 1 part.
I just have to stay ahead of this play through to keep watching now. The race is on ;)
I really like following you in your playthrough here.
Thanks! Episode 8/9 is when I hit the content I have never seen before
@@WolfheartFPS Thanks for responding, is this all beta or do you load a save from beta into final release? (Possible?). Don’t know how much changed
Wolf I’m loving it. I use to be obviously a PvP player from my icon.
I picked up Longstrider and discovered you can cast it on everyone after a long rest! Probably the goat ritual spell which is basically a cantrip
Throwing a spider egg sac at someone should be considered terrorism
It's not a bug. It says "Resistance" - Not Resistant. It's more stating that it is the creatures Resistance level and then the arrows and explanation tell you the rest.
Yup. I know that now but didn't at the time
Ahh good stuff, didn't realize how old the playthrough was sorry.
Really enjoying the long form playthrough btw so thanks heaps for all the effort you've put in :)
@@WolfheartFPS
side note: thanks for making the wait easier wolf.
Keep it up been awhile since I enjoyed a lets play ❤
Thanks a lot!!
I played a lot of the early access and I know Larian made a lot of changes and stuff - but I don't remember the mephits being that tough or their tree place/home in the swamp being that big? It's crazy how similiar and yet still new and different the full release is xD
Also, I know that the little cutscenes with the atagonists sort of follow a trajectory based on the players progress, but in my playing the full release I look at them as the roadmaps (sort of) for when I definitely should touch base with my companions and take a long rest (and pray for a visit from my Guardian, because I made him hot af).
love the wolfheart lore xD congrats on getting your revenge
🍻
I agree it's a dev oversight that theres proper no druids grove waypoint.
Can't believe you just slaughtered the first tadpole XD
I can't believe how lucky you got in that swamp fight. I've lost count how many times I've had a total party wipe now all because of entangle. Can't move, attacks are at disadvantage. Fights over before it begins
I got lucky with entagle. Try spreading your characters a bit so they don´t all get hit.
But can´t deal with the stupid redcaps. They rush me and do stupid damage. (Guess I´ll have to do a full rest and burn all my spells again immediately.)
I mean luck plays some part in it, but I have not wiped on that encounter since the first year of early access haha
Thanks for this video, already giving me tons of ideas!
Cheers
Not gonna lie, astarion being a vampire wasn't really a shock to me. He has the scar on his neck, and he just gives some vampire vibes. idk, still a great character though
Loving the let's play series! Keep up the amazing work Wolf! ❤
“75% and I missed twice??”
*Pan to Fire Emblem players cackling in the background 😂*
"Brynna, Kill her!" Wolf, "Oh Shite!!! That was chuckle-worthy.
Waiting for every episode to come out, really enjoying watching you play this amazing game! My laptop can't run it and I don't have a PS5 so thank you for letting me experience the game in such an entertaining way.
"I'd like to be able to turn into a mindflayer" 🤐
This is great to watch your let's plays and compare with mine when different decisions gives different results. Awesome game 😍
I noticed in the Goblin fight that you didn't use any Cantrips for dmg with Shadowheart and Gale - they should be free and not consuming spell slots^^
So both your saves are kind of between my husband and I's morality which is really fun for me to see how much gray area in morality they added
sorry for only leaving a comment now but love everything so far great job
Great series Wolf! On to Part 5!!!
The voice acting is great in this game.
Found your channel recently because bg3, pretty sure this is your first let's play series. Dawg keep going with this stuff, your voice is calming and it's fun to watch your gameplay (especially since you know so much lore) just loving these videos! keep it up! (wouldn't say no to longer episodes)
Thanks for the feedback. I love doing this content. Would love to keep doing it.
41:20 Shadowheart, to Lae'zel: I'd rather not turn my back on you, if it's all the same...
**Both immediately turn their backs on each other** 😂
