- Colorado linebackers coach Andre Hart speaks to the media about Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders’ decision to move Trevor Woods to linebacker. Coach Hart also gives an update on Juju Mitchell, his thoughts on the UCLA game and the structure of Charles Kelly’s defense.
Fans just want players on the field, not realizing business has to be handled off the field. Coach Prime is about developing the total player. If your favorite player isn't playing, there's a reason for it.

And that's the problem everyone wants to have an opinion on what coach is doing almost realizing he gets paid to make the decisions, he has standards that aren't up for negotiation! He's built different the same thing he asks of his sons is what he asks from everyone!

Thanks for the update on Juju Mitchell, Coach Hart. That's what armchair quarterbacks don't understand sometimes. Let the coaches coach, because I guarantee you there is more to their decision-making than what meets the eye. They have to look out for the whole player and the whole team. We need to quit selling these coaches short. We shouldn't want to ruin the lives of these players just to let them have their way, make us happy, and make the school some money. Every time a player steps on the campus of CU it's a crapshoot. You don't know what you've got until time plays out. Thank you, DNVR and God bless.
How come we have talked to Coach Hart 3x now but have not heard from coach Lewis or Boyle since the beginning of the season?🤔

I said there were two or three and more shaking and faking. There is a lot of underhanded and the-table propaganda that is transpiring continue to watch and view everything movements facial expressions and what is said and not said. In two weeks we have lost morale. Let's go and get it, however, they need to play PERSONAL as a team with a spirit within that can't and won't be knocked out and bounced about by any means necessary. Yes, there is a need for staff changes in my opinion. Period.

Woods is a practice warrior. They tell us all these great things about Woods, if he was as great as they make him there is no way he gets replaced at safety. He is slow, takes poor angles to the ball and can't cover, that is why he is not a safety.
Yep, he's a poor man's John Lynch in that he can't cover his own shadow. Of course the one BIG thing Lynch could do this young man can't is come up & thump.

Facts. I’m sure because coaches have their favorites and looking to use someone as the scape goat. Who else is going to replace woods. Nobody else they have can cover. No way it’s his fault for defense not doing their jobs. Shoot Trevor gets burned as well, but that’s Coach’s fav. Politics go a long way.

He's much better at lb, but anytime he's in open space it's a nightmare, that 4 down when he was too slow to stop the ucla qb from getting the first down was a turning point in the game, he doesn't ever need to be playing any deep zones

@kevinchristie4972 they're not gonna put down their players to the media, but I promise you when they put on film they see woods limitations, the fact that they had to move him to linebacker, because he's the only one who can halfway cover a tight end, shows you how bad the linebacker room is, that needs to be as big of a priority as the offensive line is this off season

Trevor Woods is not good at Linebacker. He is slow and not physical enough at that position and is always out of position to make the play on the ball. A terrible move from Coach Prime.
The defense is too complex and the talent level is causing confusion because CU has too substitute almost every defensive play because their best 11 can not run every defensive play call.

Coaches Hart and Prime did an interview describing their "back-patting code" when a player is about to be kicked off the team. For example, a quick double-tap (e.g., tap-tap) on the targeted player's shoulder pad meant that that particular player was "outta here!" Thus, we shall see how many double-tapped CU Buffs will be headed for the upcoming transfer portal. This also applies to coaches, too.... I hope!

Im not sure why Demouy Kennedy isnt getting more playing time. Trevor played great early but i just think Kennedy could give them more at LB.
I ask that question myself considering he’s the fastest LB.
He did not play great early he did not fill gaps and plug the run he tackles to high
move a linebacker to the fullback position, to help with pass protect. Wilkson and Edward are to little or not physical enough to help.

They have 2 runningbacks with size and running credibility from the SEC & BIG 12, Smoke & McCaskill. Those are the ones who need to be starting

Barry Sanders did the same thing with a horrible line… it no excuse to not play the running backs that offer different looks… that’s more reason to play power backs like Wilkerson
@treyology3Blueflame Colorado has good rbs, but there's no Barry Sanders on this team. All of CU's running backs are straightforward runners. None of them are elusive or run with any creativity.

They should’ve been stopped that bs 5 OL men that can’t block and having little edwards in the back who’s prob only 170 back there trying to block.he’s a playmaker not a pass protector and they need to have TE’s more on the field for extra protection and play action as well as the run game.

Gant got destroyed in the run game, woods and Bentlay may be slow, but their two of the best run defenders on the team

Ion know if it’s really coach prime or coach hart.. juju and demouy should be starting coach hart been playing musical chairs all year, Trevor not even aggressive enough for LB and dnemouy is faster and can cover more, I understand u don’t want to take Trevor off cause he started last year and hasn’t played bad but u don’t wanna take ward off cause he has more range and more aggressive

No offense but Trevor isn’t the answer at Linebacker. He struggles at making open field tackles against running backs. I counted 3 times on Saturday where he took bad angles in pursuit and he’s not stout enough against the run.

Coach mentions Fundamentals, but are they really teaching fundamentals ? You can tell which players were taught to tackle properly.
With all due respect to Coach Hart, TREVOR WOODS IS WAY TOO SLOW TO PLAY LINEBACKER AT THIS LEVEL!!!Sure, he's a smart player. But Woods is more effective when he sees the football in front of him. Heck, the entire back seven is more effective when they see the ball in front of them.
Hey, like most Buffs fans, I like Juwan Mitchell. Let's hope that whatever he's dealing with right now, he can overcome it. Whether it's mental health overcoming emotional trauma or a family situation. Clearly, he's the Buffs best linebacker. Don't know where Bentley has been or Kennedy, too for that matter. But everybody on thus team must step up!!!! We have a four game season. Talk is cheap, especially after eight games. Put up or shut up!! We'll be watching. #SkoBuffs
