I find a large chisel tip works well to heat and remove the mosfets and to install the new ones. I also dab some solder paste on the pads sit the mosfets on and sit the chisel tip on top, legs first then big pad.

Love the videos ive been trying and failing to fix a new model milwaukee grinder, think its the control chip thats gone. All covered in potting compound which is a pain 😪 just pissed off the replacment electronics are just under the cost of a new one!!! And the rest of its like new, becuase it was not registored no warranty i can claim im at a loss what to do next
Great fix on 2, a shame about the 3rd one being unservicable... you can't win them all I guess, fixing central heating PCB control boards would be a great one as they are expensive to replace and normaly only the caps, resistors, diodes and dry joints are the failure points due to vibration.
Do you think the problem stems from insufficient cooling of those mosfets or under-rated for the task at hand?
What part numbers are those mosfets ? Cheers keep up videos awesome, I'm guessing from aliexpress I'm in Australia so bit quicker for shipping just need mosfet numbers
hi I have the same drill, can you give me some indication sometimes when drilling it makeing some noise like the gear is not connected, then sometimes its ok? any idea what's up with it, or is it the gearbox had its time? thanks
