4 OF MY FAVORITE PEOPLE PLAY MAGIC THE GATHERING AND GATHER FOR MAGIC?!?!?! WHAT MORE CAN I ASK FOR?!?!?! and as someone once said, thanks for having them, it was great for them to be there!
Seeing a few people trying to gotcha Graham's win here, even without the haste enablement he had 2 flying 26/27s getting +12/12 against no reachers, and plenty of other creatures getting +14/14 to attack Olivia who he just tapped all of her creatures, so gratz on the win Graham!
There's a lot to track, and mistakes happen. Unfortunately, that last attack couldn't have happened that way. Brudiclad turning all those tokens into something else will include itself since Graham's is a token as well. When he goes to declare attackers, he no longer has a Brudiclad to give his tokens haste.
Came here to make sure this was pointed out as it could have been a big deal if someone else could have wiped the board before his turn. I’d not they w were mega doomed and he was quite safe.
@joaoeduardosalmoriadasilva8097 You don't get to choose which tokens become copies. If you use Brudiclad's trigger to turn any of your tokens into copies, it has to be all of them. This would have included the Brudiclad token.
Yesterday, I thought of a dumb synergy for the new goyf commander, Disa. Mimic Vat... when a creature dies, you can exile it to the Vat and return previously exiled creature cards to graveyard. Have a goyf exiled when another goyf dies. Exile the one that died and return the other to graveyard. Disa says that, when a goyf enters your graveyard from anywhere other than the battlefield, put it onto the battlefield. With a sac outlet, I just loop this as much as I want for infinite death/ETB. Posted this in a Discord group and someone called the idea a "funny gun" which inspired me to call this the "Goyf Gun" if I get around to doing it.
To anyone commenting that Graham would not have won that turn due to the Brudiclad token transformation ability, that's correct. However had Graham not chose the 2nd part of Brudiclad's ability, he still would have won that turn. He had lethal regardless that turn. The win is legit. For those asking, "How?" - Brudiclad and Colossal tokens at Kathleen and Eilidh, everything else at a tapped out Olivia. The nontoken creatures along with the 3 newly created 1/1s as well as the 2/1 Myr via Brudiclad's attack trigger (declining the token copying 2nd part of the effect) all gaining +2/+2 brings the total well over 24.
Love to see LRR! Fave plane is Dominaria because I'm old and I started playing in Tempest when the story was an epic adventure with a variety of memorable characters! (yells at cloud)
Kathleen saying "I remember when I started playing and seeing that and going 'ugh' " made me feel REAL old... when I started playing Fallen Empires was fresh and everyone was covering the local card shop's walls with the original Atog (it was more common than basic lands).
15:09 I looking up dryad to see if there was any other artwork and there's a secret lair version that I'd argue is the hottest of the 3 artwork options
Thank you for having Kathleen and Graham so fun watching them play! I believe Olivia's deck comes with a Gonti's Aether Heart, combined with the Whirler Virtuoso and if a Panharmonicon was added (or already in deck), Olivia could have infinite thopter production. With Brudiclad giving haste to Thop Thops, swarm with thopthops. Thats only if Pan was in deck or not lol
32:30 We (my playgroup, no one with authority) settled this a couple years ago. Blink is return immediately, flicker is at end of turn. Someone had to decide. lol
1:13:00 The brudiclad token play doesn't actually quite work, because as brudiclad in this case is a token itself it would turn into the chosen token and then they would no longer have haste.
Unfortunately, they forgot brudiclad is a token, so the tokens would lose haste when you change the tokens. Because it's all tokens, not just select tokens. And if you try to make them all brudiclads, the legend rule kills all the tokens...
When graham makes the tokens all a copy of salvation colossus, that trigger is at the start of combat so wouldn’t brudiclad no longer give haste and stop the new tokens from attacking since he left before declaring attackers?
Yeah, I was thinking it would work to make them all copies of Brudiclad, but the tokens that Anomaly makes would retain the legendary supertype, and die to SBA.
I don't think it mattered. One token could still attack since it was from a previous turn and all of his creatures would be getting +14/+14. That's two dead players and the third with only two creatures. If he chose for the Disa deck to be the survivor then it would have had a total of two outs to survive the next turn.
pretty sure that the mass token attack wouldnt work because every other token becomes a copy, meaning brudoclad would also become one and thereby lose creature haste
@@DarkPikachuYTV a creature only loses summoning sickness at the start of your turn. Haste allows a creature to attack in spite of summoning sickness, it doesn't remove it. So once haste is removed, they can no longer attack.
6:54 Graham should have got pinged by by the coast unless I’m missing something, he could’ve used the coast to pay for the palace’s colored mana ability but he didn’t😅
Great game. It seems like each deck got to do it's thing this time. I'm still psyched to try Tricky Terrain even though it's outside of my giant stompy creature wheelhouse.
I think the end of the game is a misplay? Brudiclad's ability would make the token Brudiclad no longer Brudiclad, wouldn't it? So the tokens would no longer have haste. Unless I'm missing something on the way Brudiclad works?
I hate to spoil the ending, but... Once the brudiclad token's trigger resolves, all of the tokens would immediately lose haste since his trigger would turn him into the apex goyf colossus, therefore the only ones that could attack would be the ones that he controlled since the start of the turn... which was two of them. So that would've meant at least one of his opponents would have survived.
I am new and just trying to understand when Elidh plays the Barrowgoyph and asks you have an artifact creature and a sorcery for 2. . but is it not artifact, a creature, and a sorcery. . Do creatures and artifact creatures count seperatly? and can you get 2 things out of a single card if it has 2 types? Like if I have an enchantment creature would that count as both?
So with the default Omo deck. I won by decking someone over 76 cards because of the amount of mana the cloudpost greats. I my of had 3 of the with mirror box and thespian stage.
Yes, this is true! Which means that Oblivion Stone goes off, things survive and no longer have Everything counters on them. Edit: I was mistaken in my comment. Omo's effect only affects creature types and land types. After reading her effect, her Everything counter is essentially giving your lands Prismatic Omen's effect, plus other land types like Urza's lands, and the Everything counter on a creature is essentially Maskwood Nexus. I had the thought originally that Omo was busted because of counters like hexproof, divinity, fate, and other types of counters. But no, what Omo's counters care about are creature types and land types.
An "everything counter" has no inherent meaning. Only while Omo is on the battlefield the permanents get the additional subtypes. Worth noting: Land creatures do *not* get every creature type, they are "only" every land subtype. Non-creature non-land permanents are not affected by those counters, even if Omo is present.
Have an early Welcome to Canada! And don’t worry, USA geography confuses us too! And you gotta have a authentic poutine, you’ll know the cheese curds are legit if they squeak
Eilidh in case you ever play the deck again the Burnished Hart you had in the grave would count for both creature and artifact. So when you played Barrowgoyf it should have been a 3/4. It probably would not have made a difference, but just wanted you to remember for future reference.
(not stated to nit pick a play, but to understand rules as relatively new player) when Graham cast Artisan of Kozilek and it's cast triggered ability went on the stack as well, Kathleen jumped in with Summary Dismissal. However, Graham hadn't said he was holding priority for Ulalek's trigger, so could he have then stated "in response to the summary dismissal I will pay 2 to activate Ulalek and copy Artisan and it's cast trigger", this would have then resolved before the summary dismissal and he'd still have has a copy of Artisan in play?
Graham always has the energy that he was told he’d be on camera/what he’d be doing mere seconds before, and I greatly appreciate it
1:03:13 “how big are you?” “Like 6’3” just killed me. Amazing quick wit from Graham.
4 OF MY FAVORITE PEOPLE PLAY MAGIC THE GATHERING AND GATHER FOR MAGIC?!?!?! WHAT MORE CAN I ASK FOR?!?!?!
and as someone once said, thanks for having them, it was great for them to be there!
I would like to request more of the LRR crew please. All of them are delightful people and so fun to watch play.
I love seeing these precon gameplays! Keeps getting me more and more excited for when mine arrive

I love referring MH3 to Eldrazi History month. Fantastic, I need not say more.
Olivia's Jolene joke going unnoticed felt like a crime so girl I got u I loled on ur behalf

I thought about that, but considering he created the 3 spawn token, he would be able to turn all them into giga brudiclads and still swing for lethal
@@joaoeduardosalmoriadasilva8097 Turning the tokens into Brudiclads wouldn't have worked as all but 1 would die to the legend rule.

My favorite part of the game was when AliasV said “it’s Goyfin’ time” and Goyfed all over the board
Gatherer has some fun rulings. Like under void winnower, it says “yes, we know you can’t even” 😂
The ruling for True Love's Kiss says that if the disenchant effect fizzles:
"You won't draw a card or live happily ever after."

@17:51 love those pringles you are sharing off lol
I love the banter of this group, also the amount of joy on Kathleen face on being called a bog witch
My favorite plane might be Ixalan. I played some magic before then but that is when I started playing EDH and really came to enjoy more of the game
For engagement, my favorite plane is the Northrop b-2 stealth because it looks awesome
Ulalek is the Eldrazi version of getting the 13-year and the 17-year cicadas at the same time.
Love to see LRR!

always love seeing LRR *aggressive quack sound effects*
the video graham narrated for anyone interested is called Nicol Bolas' Grand Scheme
I call my Omo deck "Every land, Every creature, All at once." Then I added Hakbal, so now it's "Every land, Every creature, Hakbal at once."
My most recent epiphany was that the Pokémon Spoink is a design pun off a spiral ham.
15:04 Sorry, but peak-hotness was achieved with Enthralling Victor. He got the goblin vote, and you know goblins recognize treasure when they see it.

But once’s a creature loses summoning sickness it doesn’t gain it back so
I also have one of those Garruk’s axes. It’s sweet. I should start using it more at commander knight when someone gets bodied 😂
I love me an apex cascade, that was great. The ending was sick though 😂 brudiclad the betrayer 😂
Graham's last attack also would have made 9 tokens not just 3 since he had to choose 3 and each choice makes 3 scions.
"It's cool to pay your friends what their worth" should be a t-shirt
The Benthic Eldrazi is BUSTED!
When you you copy a creature with fabricate does it gain it if given to by another?
I'm a simple man. I see people from LRR, and I click the video.

So speaking of there are so many cards at 26:24, there are over 22,000 unique cards in Magic, so I agree, there are too many cards
I'm just going to say this regarding video length.
