Hey Freddie what’s a good midi keyboard that works well with Mac and logic x pro? In addition to that question. I recently transferred from maschine 1.8 + windows to Mac and it’s a new experience. It’s kinda annoying that the old version of maschine 1.8 I been rockin with for years now don’t work with the new version of Catalina OS. Not to give a text book of an explanation but what’s a good approach to Mac since my old maschine won’t work. What would you recommend for a sample based producer.
Hi! I recently made the transition last year from Maschine to Logic. If you are looking for a MIDI controller I just picked up the Launchpad mini by Novation and I really like. They have bigger models but even those are a lot lighter, and thinner than Maschine hardware controllers which can be really bulky if you have a small desk. As for upgrading to Maschine 2.0, I recommend checking in on Native Instruments web page through out the year. I was able to get the upgrade from 1.8 to 2.0 for 50 bucks (50% off) and I've seen them have a similar deal go on during major holiday sales. Long story short, a good midi controllers really boils down to what works best for you. Trust, the transition to Logic X was a really hard for me at first, but now that I am up and running, I am really enjoying it and seeing how much more flexibility I have when it comes to making beats and laying down vocals. The last thing I recommend is to look into courses on Udemy, I just got one for $10 on Logic X and its help speed up the odd learning phase. Udemy is having cyber week deals, the course I got was "Music + Audio Production in Logic Pro X - The Complete Guide"

Freddie Joachim is no different to any other producer, he has a vault of music we will never hear, which would include archived files, works he simply cant complete or has yet to complete, tracks he feels are not up to standard and tracks that are completed. As a producer you generally don't produce to release, you produce because enjoy producing, releasing music or collaborating with an artist will always be a by product of this. Producers produce, Artist create Art.
