As a former 3.8 BK1 and BK2 owner, IDK why. It was a great budget performance car for it's time. I hate how Hyundai gave up on it just to form its own luxury brand. Imagine a 2022 Hyundai Genesis Coupe N-line with the 3.3L TT engine. That would've been incredible.
i think people were just negative thoughts about having hyundai instead of bmw mercedes or nissan 370z , but Z are awsome i have to say:0. It is people fault in some %

Only like, a little broke right now and my 2.0t is at 290whp. The manual transmission... You need to spend too much money on the transmission to get it to where it should be stock. The auto is perfectly fine with the paddles, they shift when you want and you can downshift multiple gears at a time with the paddles too. Love this car and will NEVER get rid of mine. Ever. If i get another car my gens going in storage.
Great vid...got my 2.0 last year because I don't like having my car in the shop....and I read up that the pick up on the auto is actually faster than a manual anyway....also it helps I get a lot of compliments on my car being that it's not as common as other cars!! Win win if you ask me 👍
Its because of Hyundai's garbage QC. Some gen coupes are bulletproof and others blow up at 50k. They vary in power output too just because of QC, You could dyno two gens with the same mods and one could dyno higher than the other. Its really down to luck with whether or not you get a good one.
@@CarlyleBuilds I wouldn't really mod it for power. I think a tune and a downpipe would be the most that I would do. 2.0T auto seems to be the ticket for overall reliability, power and efficiency.

I purchased a bk1 base with rspec interior and bk2 rspec wheels for 4800 over the summer if you look around deals can be had. I’ve since dropped it on coils and swapped lsd and brembos on it.
Carlyle yeah I have the same on mine right now as well but I realize they honestly don’t do anything, other then the oil temp the stock gauge is pretty helpless especially for your car because it’s already tuned

@@benmccloud9738 I understand that, but this is ridiculous, maybe you were just a lil' nervous thanks to the camera and you were inconsistent with the throttle? You were driving the same speed and the gearbox just goes up and down, hehe

Well I'm abt 6 ft and I have a good bit of headroom with the seat lowered all the way, so you should be ok but definitely go test drive one and sit in it before you pull the trigger 👍🏻
I’m 6’2 seat slid all the way back with seat drop the the lowest height and I have plenty of head room and honestly I could slide the seat forward a notch or two but I like having stretched out legs
