Same! Both versions are fantastic in their own way. A-Ha’s version unfortunately didn’t get to the top of the charts, but this one got to number 1. And that’s the UK charts back in the day
i am a Big critic of song remakes but I have to say this is just Awesome this was just Beautifully done not a thing was changed except fresh new voices from a very Talented group of very Handsome guys with very gifted voices Thank you for a job very well done I look at this as a Tribute.
I just realized from the beginning of video, it tells us about what happened in the future, VR - astral projection, AI implementation, taiwan virus spread in japan etc..
I remember hearing this for the first time walking into a club in 2000 and wondered what it was. I was so taken with the music, etc that I had to buy it and did so. It's the melody, the accompaniment, the way the guys sing it: excitedly, clearly and with a sense of involvement. I was intrigued as to how the lead singer, whoever that is, was able to hit that top note! Gaius
Im born 1992 and i only knew the original version from A-Ha. I hesr this version the first time and now i know why. Some master pieces should stay untouched.
I don't know why but at least once a year I would watch this video because it just makes me so happy. I'm not particularly an A1 fan but I just really like this cover so much, and I just love this MV a lot. Maybe I have bad taste? I dunno... but this whole thing is just so comforting. It brings me back to the good old days of the early 2000s. I wish they'd remake this video but with the same concept. I love all those little things kids these days would probably not even be aware of like the netscape browser lol.
I'm not gonna lie ....I was looking for the original ....I'm a dj .....a1 were always shit....I saw them at this under 18 rave...pilled out my tits .....and they got spat on by everyone in the crowd....again I can't lie....it was funny as fuck
ahhh the early 2000's....when everything tried way too hard to be all futuristic and as edgy as "The Matrix" even thought the technology wasnt even that advanced back then...
All these years I have been looking for this song!!!! I didn't remember the name of the artist and the title... Just looking for a song that has "space effect" or like flying in the space, lol. I was twelve when I keep listening to this song from my old mp3 player and didn't understand English and then the disc broke. But here I am now! I'm dancing happily while singing along!!! 😂😁
Reason why i became Software Engineer is because of this lovely song and video showing futuristic approach😊. This song is really special for me. I worked in Microsoft too but didn't found this tech yet possible. Hope we will see this in coming future.
Well, that's just because of the competition at the time. A-ha's was number 2 for 3 weeks, and has sold more overall. A-ha's was beat out by Jennifer Rush's "The Power of Love", which was the highest selling single that year. A1 didn't have that level of competition. That being said I do like A1's cover.
I was absolutely mind blown by this video when it came out and thought it was proper space age 😂😂😂 knew it was a cover song but it made me appreciate this as well as the original
CD and VCD player...A1, Westlife, mltr, backstreet boys, Boyzone...what a beautiful days it was...

I love both the original and this one!

Agreed! Back when MTV was MTV and not what it's been for the last years!
I love both, but prefer this one. 😊
Guys, please shut up about the quality and stuff. Back in the day it was FUTURISTIC, we all liked it and it was for its time.
I found this so cool and futuristic when I was younger... looking back, oh dear haha!
In 15 years you'll probably look back at this day, and you'll say the same.
Lmao. I am laughing so hard cause of this comment

Thefire Not a 90s kid, but this song is pretty cool! :D
i am 80s/90s kid and i don't mind either they sound different and good for different reasons you are allowed to like both you know
Its from 2000, boybands never died out, they didn't suddenly return in the 2010s.
OMG I FOUND IT!!! This was my favorite music video back then 😭 we had their CD and I played it often as a kid.
Wow nostalgic ❤

The 2000s a era where technology was good but crappy at the same time and this obscure music video is one example
Childhood, right there. Cheesy 90s and 00s will forever be in my heart ♥
That's right 👍🏻 no one can beat the original ❤
it was not bad in 2000-2001 watching it as a kid
I like original and this 1 too
Original is shite compared to this

I remember I was 5 years old I think and we used to play their songs every morning in the living room. Best times, 90's music!!
Watching and hearing these will cause of losing depressions and taking me away from the Corona virus
Nunca superará a versão original do A-HA com a voz do Morten!!!! Essa versão do A1 parece que foi feita para criança.
One of the best songs from my childhood.
This song blew up in SE Asia and I remember hearing it everywhere growing up, on the radio, in the mall, etc...
This has to be the most early 2000s thing I've ever seen in my entire life, at i love it.😁
Except that the song off course, that is from 1984.
ONE OF THE GREATEST SONGS EVER MADE
Please explain?
Original is way better
I prefer the original… vidio alots better than this one
This cover is an insult to A-ha’s original
This music video is a work of art. No one else can tell me otherwise.
As a 90's, ive been make belived that this is one of their original songs.... dance member.
Take on me by a-ha is still the best! :)

Love this version. Heard it 1st in 2000 being blasted out in night club. Blown away with overall sound beat high note fancy bits. everything
We are throwing back to a throwback. Damn I'm getting old. Thx, Tom Scott.

This is the only band besides Westlife that I think all the members were almost equally good-looking. 😊 I wonder where they're all now.
Great song * A-ha * . A sensation of freshness arises in me .❤

Goosebumps when I still hear and watch this...some of the best parts of my childhood right here!!!!
Futuristic and yet 😎 cool
I think this was the first single I properly saved for and bought.. so many years ago and still good x)!
i can't say a bad word against this version as it introduced me to the amazing Aha. also reminds me of my old school disco days
For late 90's/early 2000's pop this is quite respectful of the original and really ain't that bad at all.
One of my childhood's favorite 90's song ♥
Its not from 90. the original is from a-ha

What a tune! Cannot wait for big reunion tour. Bring it on !!!!!
That concert would last a whole 5 minutes
Shame they didn’t make the tune or write the lyrics. It’s just a bland cover of A-Ha’s perfect 80’s original.
Im 90s and tomorrow are my bday still listening to this masterpiece of my favorite boyband😘😘😘
Heard this live back in November and I loved it the boys were brilliant and their dance routines especially for this song were fantastic 🎹🎸

This got to the top of the UK charts and a-ha’s version didn’t.

Actually A-Ha's version got to number 2 in the UK and this got to number 1 in the UK. So both versions actually did pretty good
