- Have you ever fancied towing to Spain but maybe a little worried to give it a try? We would love to help out and if your free this November to travel from Poole on the ferry, why not come along on the Gypsy Souls Convoy through France and Spain?
Of course you can come along virtually on our channel as we will be filming all the way down, but we are personally inviting you to join us if you fancy, all we ask is that your slightly mad, enjoy a laugh and are not shy to be on camera - cause we will get you! On this vlog we introduce you to our first couple Jo and Shayne who came down to Crealy to meet us and ask if they could join us. Having met them there just as nutz as we are - we all cant wait!!
They share there reasons why travelling with us will help them.
We cant guarantee we will get everything right but we can guarantee a great time with new friends.

Hope you all enjoy. Apart from driving on the wrong side of the road which is not a problem. Put a sticker on the dash. We had been in 1997 just with the car. 2001 with caravan and we winged it on a truck stop one night. When you get that 'I don't want to drive any more feeling' you have to pull in. We did, lots of 38 ton trucks with one space between them - had to reverse park in the dark. The food area was fantastic dependent on your age. 1960/70's works canteen absolutely brilliant. You will be fine with this nutter and her partner lol We did 2 overnight stops, one was a picnic area with lots of Brits - lets stop here, oops back on motorway. Just enjoy the experience, it will never be forgotten. Stay safe and enjoy

We bought our first caravan..had a weekend away then 2 weeks in France just to try it out...no need to worry...just do it. I shall follow your adventures with interest 😀🏴

Enjoying life on the coast..As I'm now running two properties..140 miles apart we may have to sell the caravan..however a van conversion beckons..Loving your videos, really hope you got rid of all the pesky squirrels.
*Exciting Times* My wife (Samantha) and I are planning to buy a caravan to tow behind one of our cars, or to buy a motorhome. What you are doing this year going to Spain we would love to be part of, but in reality it is just a bit too early in our planning. But, we will definitely be following your trip and fun, and who knows, if you do the same in 2021 we may be up for joining you.
Well if we go next year we may see you then - good luck in your choices - we love the van conversions and hope to get one eventually xxx
great outlook on life you guys have !! nice to see you guys are ok lockdown has killed my savings as i am self employed coach driver and as you know the tourist trade is getting knocked badly . so only short trips on my motorbike this winter due to savings , i might see you at the ferry in poole as i live 5min from the port . book your tickets now cos there going cheap now , i hear them leaving every morning .ps .. myself and motorbike pole to cherbourg open return is only £ 140 . 00
Sorry to hear Stephen hope things look up for you ... our ferry timetable isnt out until mid July for Nov but guaranteed we will book as soon as the tickets are released. The good thing is we can amend our date free of charge as we dont have an exact date at the moment. We also have a voucher from Brittany ferries from last year when we couldnt make it - cant fault Brittany Ferries in our experience x
what a wonderful idea, a few boaters here do the same.
This is a brilliant vlog, myself and hubby are toying with the idea of getting a caravan and going away for a few months and it's refreshing to see other people having the same worries that you think it's only you that had them. Would probably be much easier and cheaper just to fly and book apartments but I think caravaning seems much more exciting. Keep up the great videos. 👍
Can't beat a caravan and meeting people on site.... Go to an apartment you'd never see anyone no interaction lots of empty apartments in winter not for us x

Had caravans for years when we were younger and was down at the beach today looking at our old caravan site, ohh I just love it. life is too short to sit and dream and do nothing. Yous had me at filling up the water and coming back hours later, I love a good ole natter to anyone I meet. Just watched one of your other vlogs about how much it cost you and I'm pleasently surprised. Myself and hubby spend that 2 weeks at xmas in Lanzarote. We love in Northern Ireland and wonder what's the best way to go but there's a ferry I believe from Cork to near santander so that saves us lots of ferries across to Scotland and so forth. Ohh I'm literally buzzing tonight watching your posts. My biggest fear is getting broken into, you should get the little alarms from amazon that you hang in your door and window handles, as soon as someone comes close to the other side of the door they sound load enough to scare them off.

I would love to sign up for a spain trip 2021 because holiday insurance could be a problem this year.
We are all using red pennant through the caravan club... Obviously our trip will depend on circumstances at the time near when we go... Things seem to be taking a turn for the worst in Spain currently its a case of see what happens x
Hi I normally do Portsmouth to St Malo. I wondered why you do that route. Be interested to see where you stop off in France as a lot of site shut at the end of September.

Hi all good luck on your trip to spain my frend has a camp site behind my land i have lived in spain for 22 years i have just sited a caravan on my land for letting we live in land near cocentaina if your interested in visiting the area i will send the libk to the site every three weeks we go to the site for crasey golf he does a bit of food we all chat and he has his own private mini bar by the way no problem with being broken into i leave my doors and windows open all night and day 8n summer

Mark/Judy, i am thinking of spending 2 months (Nov and Dec) in Spain on a chalet, but flying there. Any thoughts/recommendations ?
Go as far down south as poss weather is much warmer. I'd expect plenty of deals but it may be worth also looking into hotel stays as you can get winter deals including meals for a similar price... Try Fuengirola we found a great place there once in October few years back x

TBH, whether you're a novice or an experience caravaner, security is the same in regards to being broke into, even Buck House was broken into plus you can only do so much and it should not stop anyone from going away in their van...most people will lock their house up and go away for a few week and not worry about it...

We have been travelling down to Spain for the last 18 yrs and staying for 5 months. We noticed that you are planning to stay for 4 months it seems to becoming more usual that the 90 day rule will be inforced after December 31st. We wondered what your thoughts are on this. Patricia and Peter
Will be fine this year but won't be able to do it after this winter but if there's a visa will buy one... I'm sure if there's money to be made they'll make it 😂 x

Hiya - check out the storage places around the area. When we lived in Bristol we paid £30 a month never had any problems - we say go for it im sure youll love the caravan life and the fab people you meet too xx
Gypsy Souls Judy Mark and Summer Thank you so much, I never ever thought of that, we are gonna go look now and hopefully find storage for one, we live in Liverpool so it can’t be that hard! Then we just have to find a decent caravan for a good price! We have been looking at statics but things fell through so this could really boost our hopes back up! Hopefully we find a caravan soon and if we do then we will be definitely joining you guys on tour 😃👍
Oh exciting... We found our caravan on the Internet with a dealer our first van was private... But if u can get fixed bed or you'll end up swopping it to one within a year... There hard work making bed up! Check for damp but do your research... That'll keep you busy for few weeks... You don't need an awning for Spain... Just a sun canopy... Recommend obelink company in Netherlands... Goid quality equipment and not expensive x
We keep our van in storage too, cost £600 for the year, that was the cheapest around where we live. just got us a sun canopy too. Thankyou Gypsy Souls for the advice 💕
