Chris was not over-prescribed. He asked his road crew guy for them and he gave them to him, which, we all know he shouldn't have. A loss I will NEVER get over.
As much as I LOVE Chris, nothing he did outside of soundgarden was that good, Audioslave had some good songs, but Chris's solo stuff just fell flat, best solo thing was what he did on the Singles soundtrack.
