The sound editing on this is incredible. I like the vintage style this was produced in. I was wondering if you plan to release a video similar to your one on the orion interstellar ark from a few years back. I still believe that's your magnum opus in visual and auditorial story telling (it's also the first video of yours i watched).
The crackle of the radio and the crackle of the rocket engine exhausts 'ripping' the air apart, just so realistic. I got transported back in time to BEFORE I was born! Great work Hazegrayart. Thank you.
Titan was originally fairly cheap- the issue was that using those toxic propellants got more expensive as time went on due to environmental and health regulations on their use.
Note: Aerozine-50 is a 50/50 mix of Monomethylhydrazine and UDMH. I was at Aerojet when some of these "Titan Heavy" concepts were revived around SDI payloads. Fortunately, the payloads got lighter before we got too far into developing them. But launching one of the Titan IIIL versions would have been a kick. Titan IIIL4 would probably have been the version to get the nod, if we'd gone for 4 SRBs (cross pattern of SRBs and 4 thrust chambers in a pair of LR-87-11s tested at LR-87A thrust levels.) Titan IIIL2 used stretched SRBs, extending the Stage 0 flight and gaining more velocity before Stage 1 firing. There was also the Titan IIIL version with a pair of Titan IIs as strap-ons in place of the CSD solid motors.
AFAIK it's hydrazine and UDMH, MMH was used as a replacement later on. MMH can be used pure, whereas pure hydrazine will decompose if used in the regenerative cooling of the engine.
@@mileskessler2905 Thinking about it the Titan was kind of like the American equivalent to the Proton family, hypergolic launch vehicles intended for heavier payloads
These faux-retro clips are my favorites. They remind me of the ones I watched as a space-obsessed wide-eyed kid back in the 60s, when the Space Race with the USSR was going full throttle.
It's unclear whether this would have actually flown, but it was used as a baseline for the Space Shuttles booster stage in the earlier part of the development program

In the late 1980’s there was a proposal to add a third SRB to the Titan IV, but this configuration is dynamically unsound. Ultimately it was decided a larger core diameter, without SRB’s would be a better solution.
This was a proposal from the builder of the Titan family of missiles and launch vehicles, Martin Marietta, that was never built. Hazegrayart is showing us what it would have looked if had been built. It’s not his design so it’s silly to complain about it to him. The engineers and scientists at Martin Marietta were very competent so I think it would have worked. I don’t know about the history of this proposal but it looks really expensive so I imagine that’s what killed it.

I was really disappointed when they started doing their own designs instead of using real concepts

YES!!
Wow; I didn't know it was possible, but someone actually came up with a way to make Titan even more expensive!
There's something delightfully Kerbal about rockets like this... the idea of "Moar Boosters" is just as prevalent in real rocketry as it is in KSP.
Delta II and III were the epitome of this. XD

Someone has gotta get this guy in the line with the directors of For All Mankind. These ideas would PEAK in that domain

When you are limited to 2 way symmetry because you only have 2 dimensions.
THE ACTUAL SFS DEV TEAM???
I am pretty sure this launch happened - we have the video. Excellent immersion Haze.
Titan itself was quite a costly rocket, it's hard to imagine how much Titan IIIL Heavy would cost 😱
I don't think the SRBs would cost much more.

I'd say Titan IIIL4 would be the most aesthetically pleasing design
kind of amazed that fuel was authorized for use at Cape Canaveral given its eh...volatility

Hazegrey has REALLY perfected film effects this time. In 2025, I hope it will still be like this
These ‘Archival Footage Reels’ Nobody does them better. Feels like it actually occurred. That takes talent
Just beautiful. Love the grain, dirt and scratches. Love the idea of SpaceX/Apollo POVs available to early 60s (?) launches! Thank you.
I’d swear this was real footage. Amazing work, Hazegrayart!
The opening titles and voice, make me remember a Wonder Woman or Six Million Dollar Man chapter. 😊
When the world needed him most, he returned!
A very Kerbal Space Program rocket design
Yo Dawg, I heard you like boosters on your boosters so I strapped two outer solid boosters to two inner solid boosters mounted to your first stage.

3:08 I always liked how the connector just EXPLODES after separation, though it's probably because of the second stage engine thrust
hot-staging
the interstage was utterly annihilated
Good Job Hazegrayart!!!
Wow bro, a masterpiece every time
Your vids are always amazing....
Loove the titan heavys =)
Nice work dude 👍🏽
Amazing, keep up the good work.
Are we ever going to see the NLS version of Titan called Barbarian?

nicely done
Awesome! taken back to 1968
Why aren't the SRBs arranged around the first-stage at 90 degree intervals?
If it were built it would be easier to design and manufacture the thrust beam at the top of the first stage.

2 SRBs on each side, pretty exotic
I think you missed the mini SRBs

amazing video
Not me sitting here with disbelief completely suspended, thinking "I hope it doesnt blow up." 🤦♀️
Not enough boosters -more boosters.
What does "uti1izea" mean? In the sentence "The liquid fueled core uti1izea nitrogen tetroxide..." in the description 🤔🤔🤔
Oh no you didnt with that title XD
in case he changes it
it says Titten 5 Oldy Titten being a german word for tits XD
Isn't that RUclips auto-translating titles and freaking up everything up? It's been happening for the past few days for me.

cool rocket here
i hope this automatic youtube translation isnt related to Google Gemini
Wow!
It's a Titan IIIII
👍💪✌
🔥👏👏👏🔥
What the heck is this? If you are going to make phony boosters, at least try to make them plausible, this is a completely absurd configuration.
