Слушаю Whitesnake с 1987 года , одноименного альбома "1987", мне тогда было 16, сейчас 51, по сути мы живём одновременно с легендой, как жили наши предки с Бахом, Бетховеном, Моцартом, Гайдном и т д. Но годы идут... Я сейчас поймал себя на грустной мысли о том насколько мне не хочется когда-нибудь узнать, о какой-нибудь болезни Ковердейла или чего-то подобном. Поэтому, дай Бог здоровья Ковердейлу и всем участникам Whatesnake. Пока Вы живы, живо и наше поколение. Ну, а когда мы уйдем-ну, что же- останется легенда и музыка... А потом, надеюсь эта история повторится и с нашими детьми - у них будет такая же легенда в их жизни, которая подарит им новую музыку, а затем история снова повторится с детьми наших детей... Не в этом ли счастье , друзья?)

Me identifiquei com o seu comentário. Conheci o Whitesnake em 1985, eu tinha 14 anos e tive o privilégio de ao show deles no Rock in Rio nesse ano e me tornei um grande fã. E além disso tudo algumas músicas parecem retratar períodos da minha vida com precisão, parece algo mágico. Saudações do Brasil.

I have been listening to Whitesnake since 1987, the self-titled album "1987", I was 16 then, now 51, in fact we live simultaneously with the legend, as our ancestors lived with Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Haydn, etc. But the years go by ... I now caught myself thinking sadly about how much I do not want to ever know about some kind of Coverdale disease or something like that. So God bless Coverdale and all the members of Whatesnake. While you are alive, our generation is also alive. Well, when we leave, well, well, the legend and music will remain ... And then, I hope this story will repeat itself with our children - they will have the same legend in their lives, which will give them new music, and then history will repeat again with the children of our children ... Isn't this happiness, friends?)
Exactly the same for me! Born 71 and those MTV videos got me hooked as a 16 year old. Got into the earlier albums a few years later after Slip of the Tongue. Bought the 1987 album at the time on vinyl and was intrigued by the fact that the musicians listed were not the dudes in the videos!😂 had to find out more being a guitarist myself.

This song shows that Coverdale still has it. His tone quality and vibrato on the final notes is amazing.
OK, the live version doesn't end like the album version. But trust me.

They abruptly ended their concert tour in June 2022. Coverdale wrote something that the doctor found a cold in his throat. But since then there have been no live concerts and the concert tour for 2023 is not scheduled at all 😢😢😢
No doubt about that. The man has gigantic voice both speaking and singing. But I wish he’d sing more slow and low note songs where his tonal quality is getting better with age. I watched him live in 2016 and he knocked everyone off their feet with sailing ships. Also all of his newer acoustic versions are even better than the originals.
One of the all time great epic ballads in my opinion.

I’ve been listening to Whitesnake since the album, Slide It In was released. It is a classic, enduring, relevant and ever evolving project. And I am grateful David brought Doug Aldridge, Reb Beach and the rest of the outstanding lineup that created Forevermore and Good To Be Bad. It’s rare for a band to produce such powerful, passionate and poignant works, decades after its initial success. But I now listen to these recent CDs in rotation with the early ones. Stay awesome Brothers!

бывает, если бы Вы посещали живые концерты то Вы знали это. А я скажу почему вживую как студийно, потому что у человека есть Г О Л О С! А когда его нет, на студии тебе его "тянут" и в 30 дубле что-то там выходит. Вот и весь сказ.
да дополню, Вы послушайте DEF LEPPARD в 21-22 году и послушайте его же в 88-90 г. Голос был, но он исчез (пропил,прокурил... т.д. и т.п.) Да группа играет и грает лучше чем тогда, но вот петь уже не поёт, жалкая пародия,увы, на тех леопардов...
