I stopped by there a few years ago and picked up some great tasting apples. Watching the video makes we want to go back and spend more time checking the place out. Oh, and on the next visit, I'll try a jug of the hard cider, for sure!
Kirsten Dirksen do you know if Don sells the apple wood and trim cuttings ? He can sell it for carving , flavoring and smoking woods for bbq's ;) Maybe that would help too . Just sell 'Bags of Apple Chips" on line maybe even local at resturants !

Long story short I have never tasted a apple like it since and I have searched! Does this guy do apple tastings at his farm? If I could find that apple I'd buy it by the case!

Arkansas Black apple. That's where it's at. I tried it for the first time last winter at Los Rio Rancho Apple orchard in Oak Glen, Ca.

If the farm isn't making money then that is not a good thing. It doesn't matter how fulfilling it is, it isn't sustainable financially.
