mine was doing this and nothing would work I just kept switching it off and closing then opening it to start. eventually after many tries I got into reset mode and then you need to hold shift as you click the hard drive on the left an option continue will turn into "continue in safe mode" and that should fix it. since then mine went back in the black screen so there must be some hardware issue and I'm still getting it changed tomorrow

I can hear the turning on sound and can charge my phone from it but still death screen i think ima get grounded

After 1 months a tech changed my screen and said the problem is the laid and then it worked ( i payed 100 bucks)
