This is great footage to illustrate how not to ride on the PCN! Riding in and out of the pedestrian path and blocking the already narrow bike lane making it difficult to overtake your group. Sorry man, I know you are trying to enjoy your ride with friends, but I see this all the time and unfortunately also the crashes and near misses that this behavior causes.
Thanks Jan for the feedback. Anyway, this is PCN and not Road. Some PCN didn’t have the dedicated cycling path, thus its called “shared path”. Of course if you see pedestrian/joggers ahead, we will go out the way. Likewise, some joggers still can be seen running at cycling path 🤷🏻♂️. So we have to be gracious. Just ring your bell or alert one another if you want to overtake. PCN speed is 25km/h and pavement is 10km/h. Whats the rush? During our ride, we came across road bike overtake us without any issue. We always on the look out and they always alerted us too by ringing the bell or saying “bike right”. Most important is to enjoy the ride, greet fellow riders, say “thank you” when you ride pass a pedestrian. This will make everyone safe and happy at the same time. Cheers. ps: you notice that the segment 032 & 036 the pedestrian path is being diverted 🤷🏻♂️.
