Hi, you can’t fit it with Brompton telescopic seat-post due to the size. You still need the JK telescopic. Also its not because of the weight. I wished there is titanium JK telescopic and cN have some weight reduction. Try search it at the following website. Hi, in the end I also mounted a suspension seat post, of a different brand though (SR Suntour SP12) in an excellent offer on Amazon, definitely less expensive than the one you present, and probably perhaps less performing and aesthetically less stylish, but I must say, it does its job and I am very happy with the result. I managed to get the Joseph Kosuac telescopic seat post, as you recommend and I solved the problem that was plaguing me; another planet! and even if I added weight, the advantage I got from it far outweighs that of having a few extra pounds which, among other things if I really need to lighten, can be solved as you teach, by replacing other parts. Thanks again for the idea and the information shared.

@vincenzocoda955 I saw Suntour seatpost but the looks and the added weight is too much for me 😁. What we shared benefits others and I’m happy with that.

Yes it's true, the Suntour is about 265g heavier than the Redshift, but to my advantage I spent almost half for my setup; with an excellent Amazon offer I bought the seatpost for €76 free shipping and from Valeria's Bike, the JK telescopic tube for €100 + €24 shipping, the result then as I already said was beyond my expectations, I solved a problem for me, huge and then I must say that I don't feel the weight while driving, maybe a little when lifting it when it's folded, but it's okay I do a bit of biceps😁. Aesthetically then, it's a matter of taste, I like the steampunk look combined with the bike; however if I had wanted to spend more I would have definitely taken the Redshift, mostly for the lower weight. Thank you again so much for sharing your precious info that really helped me solve a problem that was almost making me regret having wanted an expensive Brompton, now instead I would never part with it. 👍🏻👋🏻

I bought Chpt3 V4 which is the same specs as P Line. I agreed with you regarding the gearing. Recently Brompton released a 12speed a combination of internal & external gearing. For me I did some mods to my Chpt3 to suit me rather than followed what others did. I changed the chainrings to 58T and installed a shockstop seatpost by Redshifts to have that suspension while riding since I had s spine surgery 6yrs ago. You can check my video on that. Nevertheless, some riders mods their bike to be lighter till 6.7kg. Its their passion and their money by the way as long as they are happy, I’m good with that. For me, I mods for what I need and not I want. Cheers.

T Line main frame is Titanium and not powder coated. Therefore it’s not necessary to do PPF. However, some user did pasted some sort of preventive measure at the cable rubbing areas.

Sorry to hear that. I did not put the spring (to increase tension) and had no issue of sliding off the saddle at all. Another friend of mine who had installed it also does not have the issue of sliding off. Not sure your angle setting and seatpost height which you need to adjust based on the suspension to be height length. I got the best position after several adjustment and rides.

@@syedhusen I have my brooks leather saddle and it almost looks like this “ \ “ it really really sucks because I wanted it to work so bad. And I paired a docent chunk for it. Maybe I’m doing something wrong idk.

When you buy the Brompton Quick Release Pedal, the pedal holder is provided. You need to remove the original bolt of the brake part and screw in the pedal holder which now becomes the bolt of the brake part.

😀. I’m 1.68m and yet I need to lower about 4-5 inch down the JK seatpost. As for the RS suspension seatpost, I still have about another 4-5 inch to lower or bring up the saddle. You can do a calculation based on JK lower seatpost length and the RS seatpost. Unless you super tall, then can get a longer RS length.

Previously I’m using a titanium seatpost too for weight lost. But since I really need a real suspension, and with Redshift SeatPost Suspension, is the answer. I add on weight for my Brompton but I decided to change some parts for weight list again. I’m using Carbon handlebar, titanium clamps, Brompton quick release pedals and titanium brake bolts n nuts. Now still 9+ kg.

The Joseph Kuosac telescopic Seatpost (upper part) is 27.2mm which fitted nicely with the Suspension Seatpost which is 27.2mm also. You only used the bottom part of the JK Telescopic seatpost.

@b2yes You can get 280mm unless you are as tall as a basketball player 🤪. Anyway RS recommended me V1 instead of V2. I’ve not tried V2 and weight difference is about 130g.

For a first timer it is. Anyway, I got the route online from somebody who did it before. Not an ideal route indeed. Ride safe everyone.

@syedhusen yes! I bought it many years ago in the store Bikes2fold that is in front of the train station Cornavin in Geneva, Switzerland. I like a lot the newer versions and I think I will be getting the next model whenever it would be released

@@mauriciolguin Go for P Line which has external 4 gears and lighter than C Line due to the titanium front fork and rear triangle. The changing of gears is much smoother.

How do you climb with a 58 ring omg.

With the external 4 speeds & standard 52T, you will paddle like a hamster. To rectify that with bigger chainrings will be good. Brompton recently released 12speed a combination of internal speed and external.

Hi, RS v1 is non titanium and v2 is titanium. The RS size I’m using is 27.2 mm x 250mm along with JK telescopic post 31.8mm. If you have the RS with 350mm in length is doesn’t matter. You have a longer length for which is great for a taller person.
