I met him in 1977 -- what a character-- he gave ad hoc master classes at the Hollywood Bowl--- and held a cigarette most of the time while he was bowing the violin! I also saw him in a French Movie -- the story of Adele H--- which came out around that time as well---he has a memorable cameo in that movie playing an unscrupulous magician!!!!

Video Editor Should not had cutted a snippet from 5:23 to 5:24 where IVRY is concentrating on Music and tries to express culmination. it would be only 3 seconds more but definitely would have been a Great and interesting moment to watch and listen.
