@jenniferproctor3142 We've been to Japan in different seasons and enjoyed every visit. Im from a tropical country so Im kinda used with this kind of heat and still find it enjoyable. Just expect to sweat while walking outdoors. I experienced some rain in Osaka in July compared to our 2023 Tokyo trip where it was sunshine through out the day.

Thank you for watching and sorry for the late response! I think the beginning of June is better since the rainy season may not start yet. It depends on the year but, the end of June is a highly rainy season. I believe The Disney (Sea) is open even when it's rainy as far as it's not like a typhoon or something! Hi Nao, glad to find your video, I just bought my ticket, I will fly July 2nd, I have no choice but to match my children school holiday, do you have any suggestion if there is a place I could see snow during that time?
Hello, i wanted to visit tokio from 20-26. of june, so in about 10 days, do you think that this is a good time? Or should i rather come end of september/october? What do you think is the better time to come? Now in 10 days or in september/october? Thank you
Thank you for your question. It depends on what you wanna do but, in terms of the weather, the end of September or October is way better. June 20-26 in Tokyo is a highly rainy season and hot. But from the end of September to October, the weather is very comfortable. So if I were you, I would choose Sep or Oct😉
Thank you for asking! Not sure if the rainy season is over or not. It usually finishes around that time😃 I'm also not sure if you will go to ONLY Osaka, but If you go to Osaka, you can go to Nara and Kyoto, which are close to Osaka. I personally think Osaka is famous for food but not sightseeing. So several days is enough for Osaka, I guess! Have fun👌
Thank you for your comment. It's during the rainy season but we don't have many rainy days in Tokyo this year even though it's the rainy season😀 So let's just figures crossed! Have fun in Japan😉
Hi, I know I'm one year late to find this video, but I'll ask anyway: we are traveling to Japan this year late July/early August. I was preparing for a really hot summer trip, do you think the rainy season will still be strong around that time? Should I bring a light rain jacket, just in case? Are temperatures low during this time, or will it still be hot, even though it rains? Love your videos, keep up the good work ❤
Thank you for asking. It must be slightly hot but less than 30° I believe👌 You can shop as usual. A T-shirt is fine but if you have a hoodie for a chill night could be useful 😉 Enjoy Japan!
Thank you for asking! It's autumn leaves season so going to Kyoto or Hiroshima is perfect! Also, visiting in countryside is wonderful since there are beautiful autumn leaves😊
Thank you for your comment. The rainy season in Japan means that most days are rainy (whole day). So when you wake up in the morning, if it's rainy, you should expect the day to be rainy all day long😂 The rainy season in Japan could finish around the date you are coming to Japan usually so fingers crossed😉
Good day! We are going in Osaka this year and I want to know what will be the temp/weather around end of May up to the first week of June? so i will know what kind of clothes will i bring. Thank you
Hi Nao! I was thinking to travel to Japan 1st time for 4-5 days. Kindly advice me the best place to stay and explore in mid of July. Tokyo, Kyoto, Yokohama, Yokosuka, etc. Or I should visit in first week of September. What you suggest..?
Thank you for watching🙌 If I were you, I would choose to come to Japan in September for sure💯 About the place, I recommend going to Kyoto more than Tokyo, but it all depends on what you want though! Every place has a different charm!
I want to visits japan with my wife and kids but we can only travel between june to early September because of summer school break, so when do you think is the best time to go during the time window I have mentioned?
Thank you for your comment. It's a lovely plan! Depends on where you wanna go, but early September now is not that hot, around 27-30° in Tokyo, and not the rainy season. So if I were you, early September!
@@JapanwithNao I'm planning to go next years during my kids school summer break. They finish school around 20th of June until 1st quarter of September. Thank you for your comment! You can travel for sure! Furthermore, we didn't have many rainy days in Tokyo during this year's rainy season just for your information (I'm not sure next year will be the same though). Going to Hiroshima is a good choice! I like Hiroshima😉 The average temperature in Hiroshima at the end of June is around 20 something, which is not hot so it's perfect! Have a nice trip there😎

Hi Nao, thank you for your information. I am planning to go Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto on 6/8/24 to 6/22/24 with 2 little kids that need to be in a stroller. June is the beginning of rainy season. Based on 2023, do you remember if it rains a lot?

Thanks Nao for the great video. I wonder if you could suggest some places to visit in Tokyo in August? I would really appreciate it. Also, do you think its a good weather in August? Thanks in advance!

My husband and I want to go this year to Japan but we can't decide when. We wanted to fly over in September because we want to fly to Okinawa as well. Is this a good time? Or is October/November better? Thank you :)

Ciao! Thank you for your comment, John. Traveling to Japan must be a great experience if you have never been to😉 As I explained, it's not the best season to visit in terms of the weather. But it's less crowded and cheaper because the season is off-peak season in Japan. Wherever you travel to, I hope you have a wonderful time with your wife😊
I was on a 12 days Japan trip just last March to Osaka-Kyoto-Tokyo and I’m planning to return to Tokyo-Kyoto again from 24 May to 12 June. May I know 1. Is it windy and cold on rainy days 2. Is it usually heavy rain or drizzle on rainy days 3. It’s about 28 degrees during the day, is it still too cold to wear a thin t-shirt and shorts?
Thank you for your comment! if it's the rainy season, 1. It's not windy and cold (usually 16-25°) 2. Not heavy rain, mostly just rain 3. If it's 28°, a T-Shirt and shorts are absolutely fine! Not cold at all. I'm glad you are coming back to Japan again. Have an excellent time!

I believe you don't need to bring them but buy one of them in Japanese convenience stores (may be umbrella)😉
Hello Nao , me & family will go to osaka around 11th to 17 july 2023, what do you think?
Thank you for asking!
Not sure if the rainy season is over or not. It usually finishes around that time😃
I'm also not sure if you will go to ONLY Osaka, but If you go to Osaka, you can go to Nara and Kyoto, which are close to Osaka.
I personally think Osaka is famous for food but not sightseeing. So several days is enough for Osaka, I guess!
Have fun👌
@@JapanwithNao thank you Nao, maybe we will visit Nara Kobe & kyoto that close enough from osaka
Have fun in Japan👌
Hows ur trip? Hows the rain?
hey, am going this June to travel is it all going to be rain or we might have sunny days
Thank you for asking. It depends on the day, so you may have some sunny days too! Fingers crossed😉
Hey! How was your trip? 😊
Looking to Travel out there at the end of august .... is it really hot ? cause I'm scared if it's reall hot tho
Thank you for asking. It's so hot...Today is also 36 in Tokyo😰
I don’t mind if it’s raining season but I heard that it would be super hot in middle of July, is it true?
Thank you for your comment! That's right. Today is 37° in Tokyo...
Hey ! How is japan is august ? Is it better ?thanks
Thank you for asking!
It's so hot but not many rainy days😉 But again, it's too hot so a bit hard to go around!
I’m from Malaysia, can I come dressed Malaysian style during July? Slippers, T-shirt and socks?
Thank you for watching😊 I think so!
Hi ! I go during the 1st and 15th july. Do you think that it would have a lot of rain ?
Thank you for your comment. It's during the rainy season but we don't have many rainy days in Tokyo this year even though it's the rainy season😀
So let's just figures crossed! Have fun in Japan😉
I will be in Tokyo/Kyoto from June 2 to June 11, what are the chances of rain? Thanks.
Thank you for your comment! It's mostly the beginning of the rainy season. But we haven't had many rainy days during the rainy season so no one knows😂
Hey, how did your trip turn out?
Hi! Thanks for the tips.
I'm gonna travel to japan from june 9th to 19th. Is it possibile that it rains every single day? Still enjoyable?
It depends on the day so fingers crossed😘 Thank you for watching👌
How was your holiday? I'm curious because I'm going to Japan from June 7th to 21st
Hello, how about in August? Planning to go there last week of August ☺️
Thank you for your comment! It''s just so hot😂
Does Tokyo get a lot of rain in August?
Thank you for asking. We have an evening shower in summer sometimes but mostly sunny days😉
How about August? I will travel in Osaka in 2nd week since it is my birthday
Thank you for your comment! It's just hot around 34-36!😉
Have fun😉
did september is a good month travel to osaka?
Hi, I know I'm one year late to find this video, but I'll ask anyway: we are traveling to Japan this year late July/early August.
I was preparing for a really hot summer trip, do you think the rainy season will still be strong around that time? Should I bring a light rain jacket, just in case? Are temperatures low during this time, or will it still be hot, even though it rains?
Love your videos, keep up the good work ❤
hi! i will be on osaka this june 29-july 6 --- is it that hot? is it hard to shop this time? what is the best clothing that you can recommend.
Thank you for asking. It must be slightly hot but less than 30° I believe👌
You can shop as usual. A T-shirt is fine but if you have a hoodie for a chill night could be useful 😉 Enjoy Japan!
May i check i plan to go on Mid October, any recommendations places to go:)
Thank you for asking! It's autumn leaves season so going to Kyoto or Hiroshima is perfect!
Also, visiting in countryside is wonderful since there are beautiful autumn leaves😊
Hi I’m going to Osaka & Kyoto on 13/7-19/7. I know July is rainy season but I want to avoid the crowds. Does the rainy season means raining none stop?
Thank you for your comment. The rainy season in Japan means that most days are rainy (whole day). So when you wake up in the morning, if it's rainy, you should expect the day to be rainy all day long😂
The rainy season in Japan could finish around the date you are coming to Japan usually so fingers crossed😉
Early September be ok?
Thank you for your comment! It's the best time to visit👌
Good day!
We are going in Osaka this year and I want to know what will be the temp/weather around end of May up to the first week of June?
so i will know what kind of clothes will i bring.
Thank you
Thank you for asking!
It's around 20-25°. Have fun in Osaka!
Hi Nao!
I was thinking to travel to Japan 1st time for 4-5 days. Kindly advice me the best place to stay and explore in mid of July. Tokyo, Kyoto, Yokohama, Yokosuka, etc.
Or I should visit in first week of September.
What you suggest..?
Thank you for watching🙌 If I were you, I would choose to come to Japan in September for sure💯
About the place, I recommend going to Kyoto more than Tokyo, but it all depends on what you want though! Every place has a different charm!
@@JapanwithNao Hello! Thanks for your video. Why do you recommend September?
osaka best to travel in June this year?
Looking to Travel out there in August! Maybe I’ll be just past the rainy days or get a mixture during my two week stay but I wouldn’t mind it (:
Thank you for your comment! August in Japan isn't the rainy season but just hot😆
Have fun in Japan!
I'm planning to stay for around 3 weeks maximum, I'm going to stay in Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto. The thing is I don't know when is the best time to go from June to September
Oh I see. Early June may not be in the rainy season but depends on year. So if I choose between June to Sep, I would go in June or early July (Because not hot yet!)
Have a nice trip next year with your family( ^ω^ )!
@@JapanwithNao thanks a lot for the info 👍.
Hi, Ill be in Japan the last two weeks of June. What must I expect with the weather?
Thank you for asking! It's mostly rainy days. You may have several sunny days so you should plan well based on the weather forecast.
Have a good time in Japan😉
Hi nice helpful vlog, I'll be traveling to Osaka, kyoto at 1st week of June. Is it gonna be a rainy month? Should I bring jacket? or some warm clothes?
Thank you for asking. It shouldn't be the rainy season yet!
I believe you don't need warm clothes but bringing a jacket is a good idea especially for at night😃
@Japan with Nao Thanks for your reply :)
I am planning a trip for the first 1.5 week of June. How concerned should I be for the rainy season?
Thank you for your comment. It depends on the year, but I would say the rainy season starts in mid-June most of the year. So 50/50?
@@JapanwithNao thanks. Guess I will just hope for the best
Can I travel in August
Very informative video... I'm traveling to Tokyo end of June hot weather is not a issue I hope it wouldn't be hot compare to Dubai 😅 as most hot and humid weather these days... Secondly please advise which transportation card should I used as I'm coming only for 3 data should go Suica card or 72 hours pass card...for local transport such as subways, train and buses..
Thank you for asking. The main line in Tokyo is the Yamanote Line which 72 hours pass card doesn't cover. So I think buying a Suica card is better😉
@@JapanwithNao very much appreciated
Hello, I’m booked for Kyoto and Osaka for the last 2 weeks of June… will it be super rainy? 😢 I got no other available period to travel, only those 2 weeks…
Me too and I’m so worried about the rainy days since I don’t like rain at all when travelling
Thank you for asking! It's usually just rainy not heavy one!
Thank you for your comment! I totally agree with you. It's a good idea to check the weather everyday in June 😉
Would it still be good from late may to 1st week of june?
Thank you for asking! I guess the rainy season has started yet but who knows😆
What is the weather in December in Tokyo?
Thank you for asking! It's just cold😂
We’re going to be in Japan from june 12-18. I guess we’ll have to bring umbrella & raincoat 😂
Thank you for your comment! You should be but you can buy them in Japan😊
Hello there, I am planning to visit Tokyo from June 21 to 28 in 2024. I know its rainy season in Tokyo from mid June, but can I still travel around? I want to visit Hiroshima too. I prefer June as its not that hot weather compare to August. Your suggestions will be helpful.
Have a nice trip there😎
hi i am planning to come to osaka and kyoto on july 22nd - july 29th. we will visit arashiyama and take the sagano train. do you think the rainy season will have stopped by then? we were afraid that the plan would fail because of the rain, it was our first time going there and we were really excited
Thank you for asking. I guess the rainy season is already over! The rainy season in Kyoto usually ends at around 19th July so fingers crossed😉
I plan on travelling to tokyo in the first week of june 2023, would u say it will be raining heavily?>
Thank you for asking. It shouldn't be the rainy season yet but it's about to start I guess😃
And usually it's not heavy even though it's a rainy day! Have a good time in Japan😉
Hey, how did your trip turn out?
I am going to japan from the 14th to the 29th of June, it is more likely light rain or heavy rain during that time?
Thank you for asking! It's mostly light rain😃 Have fun in Japan!
My husband and I are traveling to Osaka, Fukuoka, and Kyoto mid June. I was hoping for some sunshine 😅 Also, how should one dress in June? I def would like to be respectful, but also prepared for hot & rainy weather. Thank you!
Thank you for your comment! The temperature in June is around 20, so not hot but cold as well😉 it may be a bit chill at night.
Anyway sounds like a great trip plan to go to 3 cities! Have fun😊
Hi :)

How about weather in Sapporo on the month of July?
They don't have a rainy season so it's a good time to go there I believe💯
I'll bring my 'snow-rainy jacket' like 'NFL Jacket' without sweater.
Thank you for this video. Will visit Japan on the 2nd and 3rd week of June. Is it rainy in Japan during that time? I thought June is summer time in Japan. Hehe.
Thank you for asking! It should be the rainy season unfortunately😰
How is august?
Thank you for asking. It's just too hot! Not many rainy days👌
Thank you for asking. In 2023, the rainy season was very short somehow (not usual, though). We don't know this year, but it's a good idea to prepare for rain💯 It's mostly light rain not heavy.
Thanks Nao for the great video. I wonder if you could suggest some places to visit in Tokyo in August? I would really appreciate it. Also, do you think its a good weather in August? Thanks in advance!
Thank you for asking!
Popular places in Tokyo for foreign tourists are Senso-ji Temple and Shinjuku Gyoen...etc
I would like to visit Team Lab Art. planets.teamlab.art/tokyo/
I'm not sure you also have an interest in though.
In terms of the weather, it's just hot. These days are around 35-37° in Tokyo, but mostly sunny days.
Have fun😉
Thank you so much for your reply and suggestions, just added them to the list!
Wow that's amazing and definitely I will be interested in visiting Team Lab Art!
Weather regards, that would be normal sunny days for me as I am coming from a pretty hot place where temperatures reach 50° in summer times!
Thanks again and looking forward to the trip!
Very informative video, Thank you for making This! I'm thinking of travel to either Tokyo or Osaka (or both) in August. Will there still be rainy days in August? Thank you.
Thank you for your comment. It's not the rainy season, but it's hot (around 35°).

My husband and I want to go this year to Japan but we can't decide when. We wanted to fly over in September because we want to fly to Okinawa as well. Is this a good time? Or is October/November better? Thank you :)

What about 27th August - 8th September ? Is it a season of typhoon ?
Thank you for asking! It is a typhoon season but it's random so...fingers crossed😉
We want to visit when would be the best time?

Will travel to Japan this 1st wk of June for 9 days..is it bad weather there?can will still visit Universal Studio? Anyway, new subs here ❤

Well the only time I could get off was in June so we will be there next month. lol.
Any recommendations for still enjoying 2 weeks in rainy season?
Thank you for asking!
Well, if you want to escape from the rainy season in Juan, going to Hokkaido is an option since they don't have the rainy season.
You should also wear shoes that are not easy to be soaked😆
Have a good time in Japan!
So it stops in August?
Thank you for your comment! Yes it's not the rainy season😉
@@JapanwithNao ok thanks
How is the weather in Japan in the beginning of august? We are planning to be in Tokyo and Kyoto the first week of august 😬

Thank you for this video… My wife and I have a dilemma… We are seniors who like to travel, usually to Europe. We want to go to Japan, but can only go the last week in June through the first week in July. So, we either go to Japan during that time or go back to europe…,Not sure what to do.. ciao, John
Ciao! Thank you for your comment, John. Traveling to Japan must be a great experience if you have never been to😉
As I explained, it's not the best season to visit in terms of the weather.
Thank you for your comment!
if it's the rainy season,
1. It's not windy and cold (usually 16-25°)
2. Not heavy rain, mostly just rain
3. If it's 28°, a T-Shirt and shorts are absolutely fine! Not cold at all.
I'm glad you are coming back to Japan again. Have an excellent time!
I booked 15-29th july. Is that bad?😢
Thank you for your comment! Nothing bad about coming to Japan😅
You can enjoy in Japan even though it's the rainy season.
Just make sure to bring or buy some rain gear in Japan! Have a good time in Japan👌
whoops well i didn't know this. going to have to deal with it now. at least I now know and can plan accordingly .

Thank you for your video! My husband and I would like to visit Japan the whole July. So you can’t recommended it, right?

Thank you for asking! It depends on the area, but we can see snow between the end of November and February!
I will go in TOKYO
Is this the same in tokyo?
Hi Nao! I will be visiting Japan between the final week of July and the starting week of August. I would like to ask how the temperature is in Tokyo and what would you recommend wearing during those times. Thanks for the video!
Hey, thank you for asking! The temperature around the time should be over 30 every day. Just wearing a T-shirt is absolutely fine!
Have a good time in Japan😉
How was your trip around that time?
@@aeroneflores412 Nao's prediction was spot on! Wore a T-shirt and comfy shorts whenever I go out throughout my entire trip. Also bought some cooling wipes to beat the summer heat.
@@jrlskg2268 did you still enjoy the trip despite the heat and humidity? Trying to decide whether to go in July 2025.
@jenniferproctor3142 I did enjoy my trip despite the heat and humidity. I guess it also helped that I'm from Southeast asia, where heat and humidity are present throughout the year. Items that can cool you down are present in most convenience stores in Japan on that summer season.
With that said, I'd like to suggest going before or after the summer season if you're not used to temps 30 above. This year, I visited again on the last week of October. A cooler 22°C.
How about end of September?
Thank you for your comment! It's a good season in terms of temperature😍
