Excellent account of the bass line.... Although I played with the band that came second this year behind Desperadoes, I must say, this arrangement was GREAT!!! Congrats to them, long deserved win! sad Bradley wasn't around to see this...

A lot of people have mentioned that the bass didn't sound quite right. I believe that the reason is the audio recording device didn't have the audio range to capture the depth of this bass , which is its main feature. Instead we get more of the vibration of the notes , and less of its "boom".

This is without a doubt an art that is not easy to master. Imaging this is the slow version of the song and he is really working…Speed this up to the Panorama finals and you would get the idea. Don’t get me wrong someone can learn this but Trinidad has the masters of the art. This is not rocking back an occasionally hitting a bass pan. This is SYNCOPATION at its highest

you tend to rock back when you play a 7 or 9 bass tbh it is all about layout also

Well said, I live in NYC and I play the six bass and I learned panoramas that are slower than that and I still have a little trouble playing them sometimes, but I love how he plays with power but precision at the same time.

this man must be made out of magic. I wouldn't believe it if I couldn't see it. he plays so clean its almost inhuman, wish I could do that. I know it's slower than I'm used to hearing it but it shows off how clean he played.

Boss Arrangement with a Boss 12 Bass player playing it with ease. Hitting every Note with the same amount of touch.

This is indeed fantastic! I doubt seriously, that this would be easy to learn (if at all :D) for an orchestra musician from Europe with diploma and all you know...Maximum Respect!!! Cheers guys! I love you, your rhythmic ideas and the incredible precision of all of you! THX!

No matter what his hands are doing with those 12 bases - his body keeps the driving beat - he's in that "Pangroove"...even when interrupted by someone.

Many people are always fascinated with DESPERS pan-men skills because they are not aware that most of despers men were footballers and cricketers in early days then basketball came in late 60s, sports was the main component of DESPERS, 🤓LAVANTHILL R.C : SCHOOL SPORTS GROUND WAS AT DESPERS PLAYING FIELD, :That was my school from the 60s and 70s 🤓

Who say Africans can't do mathematics? There's so much space tone vibrations happening in this brother's execution. The only problem is I think the engineer used the wrong mic for the recording. Twelve bass has more ummf which I was not hearing. Thank you mighty Despers.

Artistry and agility of an athlete, MOST OF DESPERS AND LAVENTILE PAN-MEN WERE TOP CLASS ATHLETES, MAINLY FOOTBALLERS AND CRICKETERS, ' CHARLO USED TO PLAY CRICKET AND GRENIDGE PLAY FOOTBALL FOR MALVERN and many of the other pan-men played nortn-zone national football league. IN THE late 1970s DESPERS HAD A TEAM OF YOUNG MEN IN THEIR 20s CALLED [LAVENTILE YOUTHS].

Is really wonderfull to find a musician with this abilities to play 12 bass, but what happened to the bass sound, its hear pesky and deaf. Maybe to much panorama season. Good work bassman. Congratulations.

that bass sounding like it needed to take a trip to the tuner. a few notes sounding flat. but i guess thats expected after an intense panorama season.

I thought i was the only one who find that this bass is sounding poor, it's because the metal of the drums are inferior., these modern drums have a very low quality of steel mixed with tin, ' THE only solution is to Mill a special grade of steel for steel-pans, and then we can chastise the pan tuners.
