Love these videos, thanks for taking us through these tours of these events, especially for those of us that just aren't able to make it to these sorts of things!
I saw you wandering around, I was there for the first time, came over with my daughter, really enjoyed a few hours there, makes me look like I'm painting by numbers 😂
The diorama at 1:07 is superb, especially how the explosions are depicted. Also the flak at 1:46. The Gannet at 6:20 is gorgeous. (yes vignette - pron. vinyet - is a word :) I've seen vignette described as a photo and diorama as a video, the former a static image, the latter telling a story.) Ref the Viggen you mentioned - next year is apparently the centenary of the Swedish Air Force.. an event I think model companies should capitalise on. The SU17 at 19:00 is great :) The three dioramas at 26:15 ish with farm buildings are spectacular! All I can find online BTW re the Halifax is that it was /not/ used by the USSR, so that model is probably a 'What If'. The big Halifax (1:32?) at 34:30 ish is awesome. (Three reasons the Nazi Germany projects failed: Lack of resources - wasted earlier in the war by Hitler on vanity projects; way too late to make any difference as the Allies had landed and were pushing into the areas in which the projects were being developed; H****r was a butterfly in that if he didn't get instant results he moved on, hence lots of unfinished projects.) I like that Airfix and Revell were opposite ends. It encourages visitors to look at everything else as they go between the two. Love the diorama at 4:58.. very evocative. Absolutely stunning! Great video Lexi!
I was there with the IPMS Lancashire model club for the second time. Only been back making models for two and a half years since being a small lad. Thank fully you got both my models on the clip, the Vietnam fight diorama with the purple smoke and the little Vignette of the two GI's smoking, the title Trippin' in NAM. Next up is the South Cheshire show next month hope to see you there. Keep up your good work.
Lovely models all. I did like the steam ploughing on the Cleveland stand and all the action dios like the "USS Yorktown under attack". That Brabazon was impressive. I'm always a sucker for Wallace and Gromit too. If you want another NZ project, the Airfix Vampire T11 at Aldi (if they have any left) is a RNZAF aircraft.
Another amazing video. Fantastic how you have managed to get this produced , edited and uploaded so fast! I agree about Box art being a big thing after all it is the inspiration for much of why we buy a kit.
Good to see the Wallace and Gromit van, I was wondering why the Airfix SIG didn't have one. I'm currently doing a Wallace and Gromit motorbike with sidecar (I think from Were Rabbit)
Wow, the diorama of the kids with the toy airplanes at 47:45 is beautiful and heart-wrenching. Amazing!
Thanks so mush for featuring our models and we appreciate the nice comments, hopefully see you at Bovvy in Feb, regards Simon, Caen Model Club

Did The Marvel S.I.G next to the Airfix S.I.G get skipped due to no Gambit this year? 😢
@@adrianreynolds5294 omg I'm so sorry! Was this the Spiderman theme? I saw it (it was crowded) and genuinely thought it was a shop! I'm so sorry! 😔
