No such benefits in US but you do get tax credit of $2000 per year per child, phased out at higher income. After 2 decades in US one financial advice I will give you is to start investing as soon as you can. The value of compounding is awesome. I had waited until 5-6 years to start putting money in Mutual funds and regret not doing it sooner. Let the money work for you and start investing even if small amounts every month. Not bragging but I have seen my investments grow by over 200 K this year alone - even after the dip in March.

The nanni state ponzi scheme will collapse the day migration slows down and because of lower child births and especially because too many people receive too many additional "free" taxpayer paid goodies instead of only paying for basic universal healthcare and basic pensions.
