The piston acts as the valves for intake and exhaust and it has a power stroke every time the piston goes up. Thats why it makes so much power and doesn't weight that much. And you can work on them with a butter knife. And to rebuild the top end all you need is a piston and gaskets and spark plug, and it only takes an hour. Motocross is for the rich kids now.

I never could get into the sound of the 4 strokes and thought it was silly sounding and almost embarrassing,The sound,power band,look,etc is all part of it.I would like to see them come back.Not sure how the EPA can control this when they are racing all kinds of cars,using weed eaters,chainsaws,etc that put out pollution.U have also heard Houston no longer has a supercross which meant the sport was dieing out.Part of this is that the kids today are just not into the tough stuff.They play video games and baseball at best.The bikes also became so expensive that they are waaay out of reach for most of the middle class which also killed the sport.

look at how slow he gets up that big hill at Glen Helen then watch the 450 guys going up there. people think these 250 ts can keep pace.. put there noses up hill and watch the 4stroke 450 show that little vibrating ting ting what's up
