5 years later, I managed to get a brand new one! Stonks Edit: the one I got luckily didn’t have the problem with the paint on the chains, only a little bit on the blades, very awesome figure
well my opinion on the paint job for the chains was maybe they tried to make it look rusty bc kratos does go through alot of harsh enviroments throughout the games😂loll nd plus the chain on my wallet has the same issue in the middle its a bit rusty yellowish but at the end nice silvery brand new look(ive had my wallet for yrs now)anyway great review anthony keep up the great work love the content keep it comming
This figure is way better than Play Arts Kai figure, the only thing that I didn't like in this one is the Blades of Athena, in Play Arts figure you have the Blades of Exile and Claws of Hades, and they are awesome, but in this one you have Cestus...
He got the lion gauntlets from Hercules and killed him with his own gauntlets, makes the lion gauntlets more meaningful, great part of the story line in the game.
I wish neca had the license for the MK figures, Mezco did a good job with those but I can only imagine what a great job neca would have done, especially considering they'd be bigger
Went shopping yesterday picked this figure up and was AMAZED. Especially for the price I thought I saw it at toys r us for 21.99 but I could be remembering wrong.

Haven't been able to get it still, since where I live there just isn't any neca figures, but soon I'll be ordering it online, since I found a decent price! So happy that the figure turned out great. Just hope that there isn't any quality problems...
My 5 gripes about this figure 1)the two heads are different , the angry face looks like kratos in the game , but the other head doesnt and it has big goatee and smaller ears 2)Like Anthony said, the color of the chains in the bracers are different 3)Ankles 4)they should have make the blades of exile than the blades of athena 5)and the Nemean Cestus is too heavy they should have made it lightier for posing
The chains are realistic after all he goes through in the game. His chains will not stay shiny all the time, i don't understand this criticism. Everything else i agree with.
Finally have it! Just an amazing figure, really nice sculpt and paint, and incredible articulation. But yeah, the ankles are terribly limited. Thinking of modifying them a bit. Also, one of my nemean cestus is put wrong. Don't know if I should contact NECA or just let it slide.
After seeing this review i think i'm defenitely gonna buy this figure. It's the ultimate kratos, better than the prequels,wich were fine btw.neca really bomb'd this figure with so much details and i love the accessoires...only wish they've added the two firery chaines like the older ones wich you can connect your blades of Athena into it.or the blade of Olympus,it was huge and had a amazing sculpt. It would make this figure the ultimate of the ultimates!
hey anthony great review just a question for you, can a person atach a magnet and screw into his head and neck like you do to your customs and fix kratos's head so he can look up?
This is actually gonna sound weird, got all of them, and I think the sculpt on this is the best, due to the texture on the skin, paint apps are also superb, but I think the previous ones are more aesthetic or well proportioned!! Dunno, maybe it's just me!! But I did waited a long time for this and it's a great looking figure

are the white (pupils) on his eyes suppose to not be aligned? one seems to be looking straight and the other is off. I noticed this more for the normal face and a little on the mad face.
Agree, definitely could of used some better ankle articulation. Picked him up today, overall very satisfied. Extra hands would of been a killer for this guy!
The elbow joint on the arm without the armor on my figure is really loose and swings around, sadly came like that in the package, does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? All help is appreciated, thanks.

Afdb thank you for the review the blades are called the blades of Exile the boots of Hermes wings of speed which depicts the God of War 3 the goblets or lion heads they're called the Infineon lions which actually comes from Hercules but you get them when you beat the crap out of Hercules trust me I am a big God of War fan

Aren't the pegs just different sized, for each hole? How much does the skirt limit the right leg?
As a god of war fan i definitly meed to have him. He looks way cooler then the play arts kai one. And those hercules gloves are so freaking nice! Only thing i don't like it the blood effect on his shoulder armor. And the fact his Chaosbladea are see true.
Those swords are the Blades of Exile, Athena upgrades and gives them to Kratos when he reaches the underworld, and those glove looking things are the Nemean Cestus, he takes them from Hercules after you beat him. Edit: Blades of Athena*, I got them mixed up, you begin with the Blades of Athena until Athena herself upgrades them.
I dare you find a better looking figure for this price range. The chain paint might be done intentionally to represent weathering possibly. I think it being completely silver wouldn't appear weathered and too clean looking. That's what it looks like to me anyway. Great review though once again.

Honestly I wished they had the blades of Athena aswell for a beginning of the game look then an after game look.

maybe the ankles are not that well on yours but my kratos has a good range for the ankle he spread his legs pretty far and still have his feet flat
