- In 1998, after a record that promised a reunion of all four original KISS members did not materialize in the way the fanbase was hoping, little did we know that one of the few songs to be recorded by the original four post reunion would never see a proper release. Recorded to be included in their “Detroit Rock City” motion picture, and played during the climax of the third act of the film, this re-record never got an official mastered release, nor included on the movie’s soundtrack CD. Unmastered and quiet versions of the song exist in bootleg circles, but I was curious to see if I could bring some spark back into this song and give it proper treatment reserves.
I am in no way a professional music engineer, I just know what sounds good to my ears, so I hope you’ll enjoy my take on a mastering job for DETROIT ROCK CITY ‘98!
I currently work in the digital media space, and cohost a KISS podcast titled NO TIME TO TURN available on all major podcast platforms - linktr.ee/noti...
I could listen to this over and over again, hell, I will!!!
From the film Detroit Rock City the song performed at the concert where Peter Criss threw his drumstick in the crowd and one of the guys caught the drumstick and added it to his collection.
Very nice! SUBSCRIBED!!!
