Madonna knows this more keenly than any one else in pop culture. She is a legend. And we can take what we like from her life and attitude. For me? I admire her tenacity, her ability to rise up and go forward. To create new music and to always be interested in the world we live in. For better or worse. Her work ethic, even among other pop icons is like a warrior. What she puts herself through is a gruelling regime. I may not follow her so much today. But dammit I admire the heck outta her... and what she has given us, the youth of the 80's.

I remember it from my high school days but the radio stations were playing it for several years after its release. there was a remix of it in 89-90 and I absolutely fell in love with the song ever since. its a great song. one of my favorites by Madonna!

The first time I saw Madonna it was in the Lucky Star video on TV back in the summer of 1981 or 82. I had never heard of her before. I stopped whatever I was doing to watch the entire video and observe all her moves till the end. I was flabbergasted by her dancing her charm and her style.
