Driving overnight to get at the hotel around 7am, then head straight into the parks for rope drop... just to have a full blown panic attack because I havent slept yet. bwahahaha (DONT DO THIS lol)
First trip in December: Hagrids was at 45 minutes. My husband said,no we are doing early park tomorrow.of course the next day the weather was too cold and the ride didn't open. We almost missed Hagrids completely as we only had 2 day. Thankful it opened at 12
using the will-call kiosk to get our pre-ordered tickets at the parks during early park admission rather than utilizing the vacation planning front desk at Cabana Bay. We spent too much time during our early park admission trying to figure out where to print out our tickets, express passes, dining plan cards, and photo package cards. Also, procrastinating on when to ride the popular rides. It could be the reason why we didn't get a chance to ride Hagrid's. :(
I tell all my friends who don't go to Orlando often - Every 90 minutes you need to take a 10 - 15 minute break. The sun & the walking really do wear you down. (I'm also a big theme park fan who can walk 6 - 10 miles without too much damage and even I do this!) Also, along with downloading the "APP!!" people should "practice" with it. Try out all the options / push all the buttons. You really can't mess anything up and you'll be familiar with the layout before you go. Thanks guys!
That’s a great piece of advice! I remember when I played soccer as a kid having a coach tell me that if you wait until you’re thirsty to drink, you’re probably gonna end up dehydrated. Same thing here! Gotta stay ahead of it lol. Practicing with the app is a must, it took us forever to figure it all out. It’s a little clunky at first!
My husband and I went for our very first time in 2020 December- I had a special 5 day ticket with 3 days free and I had been boosting up on my Universal knowledge for over two years before we finally went- I was so surprised that we literally rode every ride within two days and we had seen all we could. We didn’t even use our third day, we stayed home in our hotel! We were tired and also knew what rides we preferred now and it gave us time to plan what rides we wanted to hit first in the next days. Super worth it, I am now planning our next trip this December and I can’t wait!
That’s so exciting! It sounds like you had an awesome time on your trip. Those promo tickets are such a great deal! Did you have express pass when you went?
When my daughter and I were there in June, we got in as many single rider lines as we could. We didn't wait long at all. There were a few rides we waited in the standby, but not terribly long. I highly recommend the single rider lines.
Hey guys! Love the videos! Just wrapping up a 5 day trip to Universal Orlando myself. One note you may want to look into is they haven't actually been opening Haggrid's before park open, but they have allowed people to queue up for it. As a result, it has a 100 minute wait time before it lets on the first rider!
Yeah we have been so confused by that decision. They started doing in close to the beginning of 2022 and to us it really makes no sense unless they are doing it to work on the ride because hagrids has had some issues! Thank you so much for watching!
When I create itineraries (lol it has become somewhat of a hobby but I love it) I always add rest days/free days. Every vacation I've been on I have fun days followed by rest days. That way if my daughter and I have a long day in a theme park we can literally sleep in the next day and not feel guilty. There truly is no reason to overdo it unless it's a short trip and you're trying to cram everything in which happens sometimes (I try to avoid short stays because my feelings are hurt when they're over too soon lol)! I ramble a lot but any who, I enjoyed this video like every other video. You two crack me up but at the same time I'm like....oh wait, I didn't know that! Much appreciated!
We should really start doing that! We are constantly go go go when honestly we would probably enjoy some of our stays a little bit more if we took rest days! We really appreciate all the love you are giving to the channel!
Time at the parks goes warp speed. I'm guilty of trying to fit too much in no matter how long the vacation. It's never long enough. Always love your videos.
I think the most important thing to remember is weather in Florida in summer. It will most likely storm every afternoon. You need to do your outdoor rides early, or you may miss them all together. Also, rides break down. If you only have a day or two hit your must dos in order so you are not disappointed.
I’m slowly following in love with this channel, in non weird way lol, I had one day for both parks and COMPLETELY over did it! I could barely walk the next day 🤦🏽♀️ but I have learned and will definitely be going back again😊
Awww thank you so much! You can walk SOOO much at the parks. We have definitely walked more than we needed to and paid for it for a few days afterwards haha!
@@ThePughTwo I finally noticed it in today’s video! I wouldn’t be bad if you did it on the last day of a trip… I ended up buying a baggy long sleeve UPF shirt in the Surf Shop at CityWalk, definitely made it easier!
@@lovejohandmade was definitely a cool experience, the staff at H&H was awesome! It’s probably pricier than other shops, but it’s CityWalk…and I wanted to get my Deathly Hallows near the Wizarding World!
I think you said Butter Beer more than app to be honest! Been enjoying the videos as we prepare to go as a family of 4 next month. Love amusement parks and am a huge coaster enthusiast so once Velocicoaster opened up it really hit my radar as a must go. We used to go to a Disney multiple times a year but that place has gone down hill as far as the experience is concerned. So now we’re doing 5 days on-site at Universal but plan on seeing some offsite stuff as well. Gotta hit all the good coasters and even pondering adding on an extra day for Tampa and Iron Gwazi! But I digress, your videos have been very helpful so thank you! I of course, subscribed.
That’s so exciting! Universal has really stepped up their coaster-game with Hagrid’s and Velocicoaster. You’re gonna have so much fun! We’re so glad our videos have been helpful, and thank you for your support. We appreciate it!
I’ve just binge watched most of your videos preparing for my trip 😂 thank you for making these, and for dumbing everything down for us folk who need all the help we can get! I will be taking your advice and double fisting some butter beers during early park admission ❤
Another really helpful video. I’m trying to get my husband informed about the parks before we go but he will not watch the long videos so ones like this is perfect. He hates waiting in line (any line) so good to know not to get too worried about wait times. We are staying in royal pacific for two nights but we have two week park to park tickets so I can’t wait
With the express pass that you’ll get by staying at Royal Pacific, you will not have to worry about lines for the vast majority of attractions! So awesome to hear that the videos are part of your planning. If you ever have questions please feel free to ask! Thanks for watching!
I just left from a video that was saying a simple thing too long. Your video is casual, practical, and most of all, I love how the girl giggles when the guy talks 😍. Cute couple and thanks for the upload~
Great informational videos. Planning to go in a few months with my family and you guys really made it easy for me to plan ahead of time. Y'all freaking rock man!
I go to the parks with my teenage grandson. He only has one speed, fast! Taking his time is not him. Lol and also we try to go to the parks at least two days. You can get a lot done in two days. And get a butter beer. Thank you guys for another great video and advice. Take care and stay safe.
Hey Cisco! Sounds like your grandson is a lot like us in that aspect! You really can do a ton in just two days if you are on the go. Butter beer is always a must. We might not take many breaks, but when we do, it’s for butter beer lol. Thank you for watching! We hope you and the family are doing well!
We are going in June for 3 days we bought annual passes cause we plan on coming back a couple times this years, definitely recommend the annual passes, thank you for the videos and helpful tips, and I will definitely get a butter beer or 2 maybe 3
the 1st one is true. we did a 5 day visit and walked 15-20miles a day, but we "conditioned" for it. The best break this year was watching GOTG Volume 3 about mid day.
I agree with number five. I went for one day and I’ve ate a ton of food and drink plenty of water and also had Gatorade but not mater what happened my head was throbbing I couldn’t look or move my head was very movement sensitive. Also with the Florida heat draining all of my energy. So PLEASE NEVER GO OVERBOARD. It would suck having to leave the park straight to the hospital
Couldn't agree more! We have had multiple occasions where we had to sit down because we starting having weird symptoms and it was all fixed by some rest and fluids!
I’m late to this but man do I wish I had seen this in December! My first visit and I went so hard on day 1 that I got so dehydrated and sick. I know now I cannot live on frozen Butterbeer alone. I knew then, I was just so excited on where I was and had no control. No food either. When I return this Sept., I will be so much smarter about it. With better sneakers! I love your channel and so glad I found it!
😂😂 oh no! We hope you recovered quickly! We’ve definitely had days in the parks where we didn’t take care of ourselves like we should have and we paid for it! We hope September is better!!
You have some great tips. We are heading to Florida early 2022...and can't wait to hit the parks. I will be using some of your tips to make the most of our couple of days there.
Thank you so much Cindy! We hope you find the tips helpful and that you have an amazing vacation! If you ever have any questions, please feel free to reach out!
This video was great! Anna, you look gorgeous!! I don't know what you've been doing with your makeup, but your blush is so glowy and beautiful!! I do have to say, the wait times scared the crap out of us when we went. We didn't want to waist times in queues for non Harry Potter rides.
Oh my gosh, thank you! You’re too sweet!! I’m not gonna lie, it’s super hot in our studio and my face just gets really flushed sometimes 😂 we completely understand the fear of the wait times, but we promise they’re not usually as bad as they seem! Lol
Just came back from Universal yesterday. We timed the wait for Gringotts and it was about 20 mins less than the posted. Same with velocicoaster. Can't wait to go in the fall when it's less crowded.
We are planning a week trip before Christmas with our two kids. Going to be staying on property with 5 day park to part ticket. Trying to decided if we want to do sea world or legoland. Love your videos. They are helping us get ready.
How exciting! We’ve actually never done Sea World or Legoland, so we can’t really help you there, but that sounds like an awesome trip! Christmas is such a fun time to visit the theme parks!
Great video! Never been to Universal, planning to on 2022. I would really like to know how the park tickets work for a 6 day stay. Can you go back and forward to a park in a day? Can you go to only one park with you ticket? Will you need additional tickets if you purchase a standard 3 day park ticket package for the rest of the days at your stay, would you need to buy 2 packages? How does transportation work?
Hey there! That is so exciting! Yes with the park tickets you can come and go as you please. Going to both parks is possible if you have the park to park ticket! You do need a ticket for each day that you want to visit the parks. Transportation from the hotels to the parks is provided by the hotels! We would be happy to help you plan if that is something that you need! Anna is a travel agent and specializes in saving families money!
1 thing about not "over-doing it", we brought bottles of water to our hotel on our last trip, and kept them in the freezer. At the end of the day I would take a frozen bottle and roll it on the bottom of my bare or socked foot for a few minutes. It felt great and by the end of the trip my feet didn't hurt at all, despite doing 25,000+ steps per day.
@@ThePughTwo thanks for the content! Just discovered the channel a couple days ago. I love your perspective as non-locals, as opposed to other vloggers who can come to the park whenever, you guys have have experience actually booking vacations down there and it's very refreshing to see.
We are so happy to hear that our videos have been helpful! That’s out intent in making the videos and we love hearing that people are finding them useful!
Candidly, the only reason I would visit Universal Orlando are the portions devoted to Harry Potter. I have to say, Universal should really consider hiring you both as your genuinely engaging personalities and very professional videos are their greatest marketing tools. Well done you. I wondered if you had insider connections to VIP Harry Potter-related visits to the parks? Again, you both do a great job with these videos. 👍
Haha we would love that! Thank you! The HP areas are a big drive for Universal and we love them. We’ve considered doing the Harry Potter VIP backstage tour, I’m sure we will one day!
@@cynthiasonntag4943 I think it’s part of the normal VIP package! I just checked the website and it mentions backstage tours upon availability so I wonder if it rotates what rides you get to see or if you have a choice in the matter. We’ll have to ask Universal next time we call them for something!
I never comment on videos but you guys are awesome! my fiance and I are going to Universal and Disney for our honeymoon and I've binged all your videos and some of them twice lol. Question....I dont think you have a video on this but we are considering switching resorts in the middle of our trip. we plan on staying at Disney for 9 days and doing Universal Hard Rock for 6. Please let me know if you guys have ever done that and what your thoughts are on it?
Thank you so much, that’s so sweet!! As far as switching resorts, we’ve never moved between Universal and Disney but we have moved from a cheaper Universal resort to one of the premier resorts during a trip, for express passes of course. It’s really not a big deal! We just pack our stuff up and call an Uber! Hope this helps!
If you go to Universal and you're not hungry, not dehydrated, not exhausted from pushing yourself too much, been holding going to the restroom for at least an hour did you really even go to Universal?
That's so exciting! December is a great time to go, and it might even be a little cooler when you're there! It's not guaranteed in Florida, but you have a chance 😂
My daughters want to see the Christmas decorations! We preparing for whatever comes, thanks for your videos they helped me plan this vacation and my girls love them too!!!
@@heydirobles7476 the Christmas decorations are so pretty! That’s an awesome time to visit the parks. We’re so glad you’re enjoying our videos and that they’ve helped you plan! Tell your daughters we said hi!!
What do you recommend for beverages and water protection ? Is a rain jacket okay, we plan to go in September to parks and Halloween horror, do you think we will need any other water protection? Also for beverages, I saw on the website it said we can bring water bottles up to 2 liters, can it be full with water? i remember going many years back abs they denied me for bringing a filled water bottle, is it easy to get water at the parks and is it decent ? maybe with some flavored water packets, or do you recommend the freestyle cups to refill, we have some from previous year and can pay to refill for day, we do plan on getting some unique drinks around park, and mainly want water otherwise Also, any favorite eating or shaded areas to chill ?
We love the freestyle cups! And yes, it’s filled bottles of water that you can bring in. As far as rain goes, if you don’t have it and need it, you can buy it there! Lol
Not sure if it's the same at Universal, but I recently on Disney Dish Podcast Len Testa said they intentionally inflate wait times to discourage people from getting in line especially when they are distancing and the length of the line is so much longer than normal.
We were there for 5 full days, and if it had not been for early park access we wouldn't have been able to get on Hagrids....the virtual line was constantly full throughout the day. My 7 year old daughter is in complete agreement that the Frozen Butterbeer has all the nutritional value needed to survive a day at the park lol
Hahaha why does it not surprise me that Tyler has the same opinion as a 7 year old?? 😂 early park is a great way to hit up those big attractions! We’re so glad you and your family had an awesome trip!
Gingotts 😂 Tyler is hilarious. Great tips and video as always! I saw that you guys are considering moving here, that would be awesome! I’m local and visit the parks on a weekly basis, I may be able to help you in the meantime? I can check on things for y’all and provide video footage, etc. if ever needed. Just throwing the idea out there for consideration.. lol I’d love to help if you become interested. Anyways, looking forward to the next video! Have a great day!

Thank you so much Jennifer! We really appreciate all the support! 4 days for in the parks will give you plenty of time to have an incredible vacation and do ALL the things! Happy to hear you are enjoying the content!
Kinda sad my trip coming up in October I only have a day at each Universal park, then a day each at Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios & Animal Kingdom because I joined a vacation someone else planned... Then backed out of 😔 I haaaate feeling rushed at theme parks, it makes my anxiety go up, on top of the anxiety I get around crowds. We're visiting from Hawaii, so I've been battling feeling like it's just not enough time for such an expensive, long trip, but I also want to make the best of it for my kiddo & myself... Anyway, thank you for your videos, you've helped me feel more excited than glum! I'll keep making lists of stuff to pack & exploring the maps of parks to see what we definitely want to do!

Thanks again for the helpful tips and tricks! Do you guys have a link to all things volcano bay? I’m almost all done with my itinerary for our trip but I’m tryin to throw the water park in there too
Hey guys, great video. If you stay at the premium hotels when do they actually give you the express passes. Do I have to wait until I physically check in/out? Or do they just give it to me online with my hotel reservation
It’s your room key! You can check in as early as 7 am the day you arrive and they’ll give you your key immediately. It’s good for your entire stay, including the entire day you check out!
I gave the fast and furious ride another chance thinking maybe I was over reacting but nope lmao it’s terrible. I only tell people to give it a chance only if there’s a really short wait time. An hour long wait is just not worth it. Not even a 30 minute wait time is worth it.
Hello! I recently subscribed to your channel and your channel is amazing. It’s really helping me out plan my trip. I’m going to Universal Orlando from Wednesday, August 18th to Monday, August 23rd.I will have 5 days in the park and I’m staying at dockside inn by myself. (Just me) I have a few questions. How much time do you think I should dedicate time in the wizarding world of Harry Potter? Be warned, I LOVE Harry Potter 😂 secondly, will I enjoy my stay at dockside inn? I know it’s the cheapest hotel so is it a good hotel? Also, do you think I can get through all three of the parks if I go rope drop to park close? Lastly, how busy will the park be during this time? Thank you and have a good day.
Hi Carter! You can absolutely get everything done at all three parks in five days, that’s a great trip! Dockside inn is great! It’s not quite as close to the parks and has fewer transportation options, but it’s a great hotel. As far as the Wizarding world goes, we would suggest making a list of everything you want to do there and just checking things off instead of limiting yourself to a certain amount of time. We hope you have an awesome time on your trip!!
Bud how do you keep that beard looking so trim. Mines out of control lol probably a left-field question when it comes to your videos BUT I have the Rubeus Hagrid going on while you have your life together lol ......... fast forward. Do you use a tool to trim the stash and beard? Thanks in advance and Love the videos. going this march.
Appreciate that, lol! I just try to trim it up from time to time. If you look at older videos, it was a little unruly. I have a kit that I use for trying to keep the lines and everything in tact, but every once in a while, I have to head to a barber and let them reset it where I mess it up! Hope you have a blast in the parks!
We are leaving to the parks from Georgia tomorrow night, around 8pm. We will be at the park literally ALL day because we also plan on staying for Halloween Horror Nights. Wish us luck! Your videos are great.
You mentioned bringing everything you need for the day. I understand a lot of the rides allow a fannypack... what should I make sure fits in a fannypack for a day at Universal?
I agree with don't listen to the bad reviews and on the 6th of this month I went to Universal and rode fast and Furios and I actually kind of enjoyed it. And also on the 7th there was soem line for storm force it was posted at 10 minutes and we waited about 8 minutes. The wait line tip is true on the 6th during the day it said 110 minutes and the line wrapped outside and we said we would do it later and at night it said 90 minutes and we didn't believe it because when it had 110 minutes the line was outside and we only waited like 40 minutes maybe even 30 minutes 13:32 perfect shot used there are literally two people running
Haha that shot was too perfect not to use, I’m not sure how we got so lucky there! 😂 we’re glad you enjoyed F&F, too. That’s why we always tell people to give all the rides a chance. Those wait time boards are sometimes on the high side, but we can Understand why Universal would err on that side!
The only 2 complaints I have on fast and Furios is that the first scene on the ride where everyone is dancing everyone looks kind of flat and the second thing which is what most people say is that it is short and I kind of have to agree What I do like is that they did something different because I have never been on or seen a ride that has action everywhere and kind of gets you confused, I like the concept but I think it would be better if they spread out what happens because at one point i was like wait why is the vehicle shaking and at another I said how did i get wet what happened. I think what they can do to make it better us spread out when all this things happen because when your at a movie theater or at home watching something you just look forward and see all the action but on the ride you can look left and right to see the action so you cant really see all the action on one ride you would kind if have to ride two times just to see both sides and what exactly happened. So what they can probably do if they have space is make the ride a bit longer and spread out all the action and stuff that happens, and that solves two things making the ride longer and making it less confusing. But still I think being confused is what added to the experience because (I never watched the movies) but I bet in the movies their is probably so much action at some points, so they kind of replicated that and put a lot of action in the ride. So I like the idea, but I don't like how they implemented it. Overall I give the ride like a 7/10
Dont discount the regular lines. There are some great entertainment to be had that adds to the fun of the ride itself. I would recommend going through the regular line at least once for rides. Just a little tip.
Oh we completely agree! The ride queues are great, and there’s a lot of stuff you miss in the express lines. We always tell people they should try everything at least once!
Yeah the wait time estimates for most rides in any park are virtually impossible to be accurate at all times. The dynamics of a ride line are too haphazard, random, and changing literally every minute. I usually just ignore the wait times--regardless of what the app or the screens say. I just stick to my plan and hop in line. The only time I decide to leave a ride line is if I see that it's gone down for maintenance/testing/vomit.
Oh we totally agree! It must be a nightmare to attempt to estimate them. It makes sense that they usually err on the high side too. No one’s gonna be upset waiting less time than they expected!
You guys may be aware of this a.ready but there are some awesome homemade butter beer recipes out there. Dare I say these homemade concoctions may even rival the real deal 😋
@@ThePughTwo Thank you! I in the preliminary stages of planning a joint Disney and Universal trip for January and will certainly take you up on that advice. I’m curious if you have any videos addressing a joint trip?
@@ThePughTwo Hey there. I do have a question about Universal hotels if I may. If I wanted to go from a Disney hotel to a universal one on say a Friday. Is it possible to have the hotel hold the luggage while you are in the park that day and just say return after park close to your room? What would you recommend? Thanks!!
Hey Guys, My wife and I love the Pugh of you! Quick question. We are going to Universal the end of November. We are staying at Hard Rock and my son and other family at Dockside. I was wondering if it would be best for them to take the shuttle to the Hard Rock and then all of us walk over to Universal, or if there's a better way to connect us. Thoughts?
Hey we responded yesterday and RUclips is having some issues it seems! But what we said was that it would probably just be best to meet them outside of whatever park you all are starting in that day. The problem is there are no buses that go from hotel to hotel, so they would have to take a bus to citywalk, and then take a bus back to the Hard Rock! Hope this helps!
So a quick question about AP food/Merch discounts. For restaurants, if I have the premier pass, and my party of four is at an on property restaurant. Will my whole party get the discount or will it only apply to me? Also if a friend want to buy something, can I flash my pass to get him the discount, do I have to be the one buying it, or is it up to the TM?
Hello, you guys seem to know all of universal. I will be going with someone that is not into rides or Jerry potter but would love to see movie memorabilia, props costumes, and the likes. Can you tell me if we should visit both parks and areas we should visit. Do you think one day , two days or more. Currently we have two day pass and will be in Florida for a week. Any hints or ideas would be great thanks for your time
That’s a hard one! There’s a really awesome legacy store in Citywalk that has some movie props and things, and several of the stores throughout both parks have some awesome collectors items. If you’re just wanting to check out the stores and things, two days should be plenty! We hope you have an awesome time on your trip!!

I know that I would probably skip the Simpsons and probably skip Jimmy Fallon ride just saying that I missed the twister ride that replaced it and that's basically why but honestly thank you for the tips and advice because this is very very helpful
Hey, I’ve a question. When traveling I like to stay in more upscale hotel w/ less to no children. Which of the on-site Hotels would you recommend for this? Thanks so much
Hey Aaron! All of the premier hotels seem to have more of this vibe. We would say Portofino Bay has a similar feel to what you are describing in our experience.
It’s supposed to be the brick wall that Hagrid taps his umbrella on and opens up in the first movie. They do use floo power to travel through the Weasley’s fireplace in one of the movies, though!
I'm planning on going this coming June, but it will be a school trip for our son from the 1st thru the 4th at Disney as chaperones and then a family vacation from the 5th thru the 9th at Universal. I have bad hips. Tips for avoiding a complete physical breakdown from walking 9 days?😅😅😬thanks!😊
Hey Nichole! That sounds like a pretty amazing vacation! We can’t speak too much on the hip situation and we hope that you are doing well! We would just suggest to take breaks! The great thing about Universal is there is always plenty of places to sit and relax for a bit! Disney can be hard to find seating at, but it’s abundant at Uni!
@@ThePughTwo , thank you! That's what I was afraid of and I'm glad you said there's seating. I've done disney before and I remember not seeing many benches with long pathways between. I had not been looking forward to that. Thanks for clearing that up!☺
What time is early park admission, and if I don't have my season pass yet will I be able to get it before the early park admission? Also love the butterbeer jokes, they make me lose it constantly
It depends on when the parks open! It’s always the hour before they officially open the gates. As far as getting your annual pass, I’m not sure when they open up that ticketing gate! We would suggest calling Universal to see. Also if you’re staying at one of the on-site hotels, you can pick it up there! If not, it may be worth heading to Citywalk the night before you’re planning on visiting and picking it up then. We hope this helps!
I only have one day at Universal and all I really care to see is The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I’m not a huge rollercoaster ride person so a lot of the rides outside of HP don’t appeal to me. I’ll probably end up in City Walk by 5pm. :/
I watch your videos but we went the week before x-mas and I will never do that again! It was miserable. Did get 1 frozen butterbeer lol thankfully. Got to ride all the rides we wanted to, but on a Friday for Universal to close at 6pm is ridiculous! We had to rush when we found that out 90 minutes before closing when we were at Islands of Adventure and the wait for the train was an hour. We had 1 day park to park passes, so yes a lot of rushing around and waiting for the big rides. I even got the unlimited front of line passes and think it should be used on all the rides for paying $200, it’s a rip off. The wait times were actually accurate when we were there. The hagrids ride was 2 and half hours and velocicoaster was over an hour. Both those rides took up half the time. We couldnt do early park admission because the hotels for those were wayyy too expensive. If we ever go back again it will be during slow season. This experience made us not want to go back though.
Right around the holidays the parks get super busy. It can be frustrating for sure, especially if you only have a limited number of days at the parks. We’re glad you got to do all the rides you wanted, though!
Does anyone have tips on what to put in your bag? Should I bring my own water bottle? I’ve seen lots of people say to pack light and just carry a Fanny pack as you can take that on most of the rides and not worry about a locker. I’m also guessing it’s worth it to bring my own bottle, but then deal with a locker.
The lockers really aren’t that big of an issue! We have several videos where we talk about types of bags and what we take to the parks. We always suggest as light as you can, but take what you need to be comfortable and happy!
Hello love all your videos Iv seen so far my family and I are trying to plan a trip including airfare from baltimore to universal studios help trying to figure best way In planning ? Should we call universal and book that way or use a travel agent ❤️🙏 any help would be appreciated
@@jgaldos123 Nothing fun really. We wish we had something cool to do with them. We have a basket we've been putting them in, but other than that, not really anything!
Hey all, I downloaded the app several months ago just to get used to it and see what all is available prior to my trip this september and have had a few questions come up. First, I find it difficult to navigate and it is laid out slightly different than what I see on your phone. Is that just the difference in Android vs IOS? Second, I have heard that a lot of the features only work when you are actually within proximity of the park. Is that true and how close to the parks to you need to be? Third, my app currently only shows mobile ordering at 6 locations. Is this something Universal is starting to move away from now with fewer Covid restrictions?
Hi Andy! The app is a little clunky at first, unfortunately. We do suggest practicing with it until you feel comfortable! We’ve never seen what the app looks like on an android phone, but we would assume that’s what the difference is. As for the location issue, yes things like virtual queues are only available if you’re on Universal property so you could be at the hotels or at Citywalk/in the parks themselves. Universal is moving away from the mobile ordering, our understanding is that the restaurants that still have it ask you to mobile order after you’re seated instead of sending a waiter to your table. We haven’t confirmed this ourselves though. We hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions!
Planning to visit this weekend however I’m stuck on the idea if I should just buy a one day express lane pass or if I should just go with the regular pass. I want to do one park on Saturday and the other on Sunday. Seems pricey if I buy two express lane passes for two parks. How bad are the wait times on the weekend is what I’m wondering
Hi Nicole! We actually have a video where we break down everything about the lockers and talk about all the different options you have. Universal has free lockers at some rides, as well as bigger lockers that you can pay for. They also offer large all day lockers at the front of the parks. I'm not sure off the top of my head about pricing, but we explain it all in that video!
It does! It sometimes hits capacity, and all single rider lines are subject to availability (may or may not be open on any given day) but it does exist!
@@ThePughTwo hi thanks! I'm probably going to go during spring break in cali (April 15-22nd) not sure if Florida's spring break is also around that time so hopefully crowds will be okay!
Whats the biggest mistake you've made while in the parks??
i smelled sweaty booty and yelled " wtf is that smell? did someone die"? my wife was quick to hush me lol
Thankful it opened at 12
Going on the toon landing wet rides😅
using the will-call kiosk to get our pre-ordered tickets at the parks during early park admission rather than utilizing the vacation planning front desk at Cabana Bay.
The tip about taking time to take care of yourself is so important. No point in being there if you’re gonna be miserable.
We really do think it’s far too overlooked! Thank you for watching and we totally agree!
It's a great option when it's available!! It just stinks that you can't rely on it all the time. We're so glad it was helpful for you, though!!
Thank you so much for watching!
i can confirm that wait times arent always what they seem. i worked for an amusment park and the times were never exactly on point.
It’s probably a hard thing to estimate! Lol
I just love how authentic you two are and your personalities complement each other! Who wouldn't support that :-)
@@lashaysmith7783 That is one of the sweetest comments we have ever gotten! Thank you!! 🥰🥰
Time at the parks goes warp speed. I'm guilty of trying to fit too much in no matter how long the vacation. It's never long enough. Always love your videos.
We couldn’t agree more! And thank you, we really appreciate hearing that!
I think the most important thing to remember is weather in Florida in summer. It will most likely storm every afternoon. You need to do your outdoor rides early, or you may miss them all together. Also, rides break down. If you only have a day or two hit your must dos in order so you are not disappointed.
These are some great points! We totally agree about prioritizing rides!
I'm from Florida. When it rains, I don't care because I know it'll stop in 10-20 min (90 % of the time) and get sunny again
Thank you ! Very helpful comment
My biggest mistake was getting tattooed in CityWalk mid-vacation and having to deal the sun/heat/germs with a new tattoo!
Haha I almost got my HP glasses when we went in June. I'm kinda glad I didn't after hearing this! 😂
@@ThePughTwo I finally noticed it in today’s video! I wouldn’t be bad if you did it on the last day of a trip… I ended up buying a baggy long sleeve UPF shirt in the Surf Shop at CityWalk, definitely made it easier!
My husband is tempted to get a tattoo there. If he does, I'll advise him to wait till the last day!

Thank you, Mark! We can't tell you how much we appreciate hearing that. We hope you have a fantastic time on your trip!!
That’s so exciting!! We hope you have an amazing time on your upcoming trips!
the 1st one is true. we did a 5 day visit and walked 15-20miles a day, but we "conditioned" for it. The best break this year was watching GOTG Volume 3 about mid day.
It’s crazy how much you walk at the parks!!
I’m so excitedddd. Thank you for these videos. Getting married and going to Universal and Magic Kingdom in 3 weeks!
We are excited for you! Thank you for watching! 🎉 🎉congratulations! We hope you have an amazing trip!
I’m late to this but man do I wish I had seen this in December! My first visit and I went so hard on day 1 that I got so dehydrated and sick. I know now I cannot live on frozen Butterbeer alone.
Lol
I was practically first in line for hagrid’s cause as soon as I walked by it opened after shutting down for a thunderstorm, felt really lucky!
That is really lucky! What a treat!

You guys are so awesome! It would be really cool to see y’all when I go in a few weeks!
We will be there the first week of September! We don’t know if this lines up with your trip, but if it does, we would love to say hello!
As someone who has plantar fasciitis, I LOVE the frozen bottle trick! Thank you for sharing!
@@ThePughTwo thanks for the content! Just discovered the channel a couple days ago. I love your perspective as non-locals, as opposed to other vloggers who can come to the park whenever, you guys have have experience actually booking vacations down there and it's very refreshing to see.

What do you recommend for beverages and water protection ?
Is a rain jacket okay, we plan to go in September to parks and Halloween horror, do you think we will need any other water protection?
Also for beverages, I saw on the website it said we can bring water bottles up to 2 liters, can it be full with water? i remember going many years back abs they denied me for bringing a filled water bottle, is it easy to get water at the parks and is it decent ? maybe with some flavored water packets, or do you recommend the freestyle cups to refill, we have some from previous year and can pay to refill for day, we do plan on getting some unique drinks around park, and mainly want water otherwise
Also, any favorite eating or shaded areas to chill ?
We love the freestyle cups! And yes, it’s filled bottles of water that you can bring in. As far as rain goes, if you don’t have it and need it, you can buy it there! Lol

Not sure if it's the same at Universal, but I recently on Disney Dish Podcast Len Testa said they intentionally inflate wait times to discourage people from getting in line especially when they are distancing and the length of the line is so much longer than normal.
We always assumed they did it so you never ended up waiting more than the posted wait time. It makes sense!
We were there for 5 full days, and if it had not been for early park access we wouldn't have been able to get on Hagrids....the virtual line was constantly full throughout the day.
Yes, the medical stations are great! It’s just nice to be prepared, if possible!
I’m in major “training” for walking around Universal Orlando Resort. And, let me tell you, my Legs are killing me at times!
Probably a great idea!! We really ramp up our walking in the weeks before our trip hoping to get our feet accustomed to the beating haha!

@@ThePughTwo That would be amazing! Hope to see it one day ❤️
I agree with don't listen to the bad reviews and on the 6th of this month I went to Universal and rode fast and Furios and I actually kind of enjoyed it.
And also on the 7th there was soem line for storm force it was posted at 10 minutes and we waited about 8 minutes.
The wait line tip is true on the 6th during the day it said 110 minutes and the line wrapped outside and we said we would do it later and at night it said 90 minutes and we didn't believe it because when it had 110 minutes the line was outside and we only waited like 40 minutes maybe even 30 minutes
13:32 perfect shot used there are literally two people running
Haha that shot was too perfect not to use, I’m not sure how we got so lucky there! 😂 we’re glad you enjoyed F&F, too. That’s why we always tell people to give all the rides a chance. Those wait time boards are sometimes on the high side, but we can Understand why Universal would err on that side!
The only 2 complaints I have on fast and Furios is that the first scene on the ride where everyone is dancing everyone looks kind of flat and the second thing which is what most people say is that it is short and I kind of have to agree
What I do like is that they did something different because I have never been on or seen a ride that has action everywhere and kind of gets you confused, I like the concept but I think it would be better if they spread out what happens because at one point i was like wait why is the vehicle shaking and at another I said how did i get wet what happened. Overall I give the ride like a 7/10
Where can I get that cute Frankenstein shirt? My hubby is named Frank and I LOVE Halloween so I'm always looking for Frankenstein stuff!
Oh gosh, I’m not sure! I can’t remember where I got that one!
That's okay! An online search for Halloween/ Frankenstein tee delivered up a couple of cute ones so I'm happy! Halloween all year!
Anna’s smile is too cute!
I couldn't agree more! I am too lucky!

@@ThePughTwo Awesome!!
Thanks!!
Hey Guys,
My wife and I love the Pugh of you!

The whole party! You just have to show one AP for the discount. And absolutely! The team members don’t care at all.
@@ThePughTwo thanks for the info. Oh and based on a prior video (GO JAGS!!!), I did go HS in Hudson, and went to UTK so I guess it evens out
Hello, you guys seem to know all of universal.
Don't miss the Horror Makeup Show in the Studios park! The lobby is also a movie prop museum!

When we getting another doing all rides in one day video?
Well it looks like on our trip in October! Lol we didn’t have any planned, but we can add it to the list!
Portofino by far
The entrance to Diagon alley is the Weasley's fireplace right?
@@ThePughTwo awesome thanks for all the help!!

@@ThePughTwo will do!
Is there a single rider line at Hagrid’s? I presume it’s best to rid first thing?
There is a single riders line! We would say it depends but it’s never a terrible plan!
I only have one day at Universal and all I really care to see is The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I’m not a huge rollercoaster ride person so a lot of the rides outside of HP don’t appeal to me. I’ll probably end up in City Walk by 5pm. :/
If you only want to do the Harry Potter lands, you will have plenty of time! We hope you have a great trip! The Wizarding world is breath taking!
Do they still have single rider lines?
Sometimes but not all the time

I will be a single rider btw
Single rider should be better! At this point, we would probably suggest just waiting until you get to the parks to see what it looks like!
How much is the lockers? I’m going next year
Someone get this man some butter beer
