8.5 for the glitchy mess it was at the time is pretty good. Most of the bugs are gone at this point so it's a smooth experience. This game is a 10 for me
@Comic Sans I agree and disagree with you. I agree with you because the shooting is broken. Also there are many bugs. Some of the enemies are unnecessarily difficult to beat. This game did a mistake by not putting running into the game. I disagree because the music is great, the dialogues are stunningly incredible. Especially the conversation between Legate Lanius. The story is sucking you in to the game. Every character and monster has a purpose. You can be who you want. Like a maniac who kills everything. Someone who has great speaking skills. A scientist. The mix of all of them and more. Also there are many factions and things that impact the story. Also this game was made in a year from a company who has no experience on Fallout 3’s engine.
Skurt Kobain as JamesPantsHat says "She meant that Fallout: New Vegas shouldn't be considered as Fallout 4, because it's essentially a fallout 3 expansion. Not that Fallout 4 wasn't going to be made." apparently a bunch of people just skipped to the ending and made a false, quick assumption just like you.
"Just don't expect Fallout 4" hahahahaHAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA *Helds up copy of Fallout 4* HAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA *Inserts the entire laughter of the entire world here*
CoolKingdomRuler The lore contradicts very often. In one of the earlier fallout games(or the fallout bible, not too sure.) Washington DC got completely annihilated, and was inhabitable.
Latest News A lot of the tribes you interact with in Fallout 2 would eventually find again but in a larger scale in Fallout New Vegas, so in other words NV is the true sequel.
My favourite game of all time. I love 3 as well but this has so much replay value in terms of role playing. 160 hours played. Skyrim sucks compared to this.
Cameron Butler just look at the Fallout Reddit page. There are so many gamers who want it! Probably the most wanted game of this moment that isn't announced
One of the most underappreciated games of all time. Fallout 3 gets all the love (which I liked btw). Lets compare them. New Vegas 1) Better story 2) Good factions 3) Better shooting 4) Bigger map 5) Hardcore mode Fallout 3 1) Less empty world 2) Feels more like a wasteland not a desert
LOL I agree with walrus, fallout 3 on ps3 was my childhood and prob my favorite games I played it for so long ever since it came out when I was 6, but I ran into a bunch of weird things, like I was always afraid of weird glitches and the ps3 has a bug that makes it so sometimes when your just walking a long or you load up in a different area entire sky textures will be gone and it will just be a huge weird slate of brown, creepy as hell. There was also a game breaking glitch that I ran into after all that play time, I was in tenpenny tower and I went into the elevator, I had so much stuff too but when I tried to leave I couldn't the elevator wouldnt work and there was no exit even with saving and loading and all that stuff, I only had one save :(
I really hope Bethesda implements definitive endings in Fallout 4. One of the best things about New vegas was the huge amount of endings based on the players choices. In my opinion not being able to play past New Vegas's ending was a good thing. It meant your decisions mattered.
yeah well too bad you didn't listen to when i said to stop supplying jacob now you're body is a partner for rotfaces rumors, which reminds me stop taking so much jet you're in the MOJAVE not the capital
or maybe something like what they did in star wars the old republic, maybe have a perk that you get after a few levels that gives you a constant speed boost, and later you can purchase small vehicles to move a bit faster than that
I prefer Obsidian to Bethesda, primarily for Chris Avellone's wonderful writing and design choices, so New Vegas was like going from good to great. Technically, Obsidian has more of a history with the Fallout series than Bethesda, as Avellone was one of the designers for Fallout 2 and was a writer for New Vegas. Feargus Urquhart is the CEO of Obsidian and was the director of the first two Fallout games. It's good to see the original team use Bethesda's wonderful innovation in the open-world gameplay of Fallout 3 and run with it.
Best things in Fallout New Vegas : 10.) Badass companions 9.) Weirdos 8.) Get high/drunk 7.)Get laid with a robot/ghoul/hooker. 6.)Factions 5.)Character Customization 4.)Being a jerk/Killing everyone/Bullying NPC's ( You lost karma) 3.)DLC's 2.)Cutscenes 1.)Mods.
It's all logical tho, after events on Hoover Dam too much global changes would have to be done e.g. complete defeat of NCR, Caesar's Legion or Mr House's securitron army. And if they made a continue after finish of the game that would be very dissapointing to see your actions not impact the world. So just forgive that to Obsidian, they already made a better RPG than Bethesda ever would lol
The review was not very good and the reviewer makes a couple of mistakes, but in the end it doesn't matter. Either way anyone who recognizes quality writing would know that New Vegas was vastly superior to Fallout 3. Easily the best Fallout game alongside Fallout 2, especially when you couple in the great DLC
Call me Big Boy I know right? Caesar's Legion seemed to be the thing that really got cut due to short development. Imagine getting a whole city dedicated to them instead of just a small settlement
Ciarán Uí Néill Story was excellent. It was a story that allowed you to decide on how it could end. Not some shitty walking dead game styled ending where it would always end the same.
Just bought it today, my first fallout...I can't wait, I can't believe it's taken me this long to pick up what is known as one of the greatest games of all time!
The Reason People Were Angry Over Fallout 3's original ending is because of the plot hole of having Fawkes Going into the radiation chamber, The Game Forces You To Sacrifice Yourself When's There's A Better Option And Calls You A Coward If You Don't. Fallout New Vegas Is A Classic Resolution To You Solving The Mojaves Problems Fallout 3 Doesn't Do That
"It feels like a giant expansion of Fallout 3." You can say the same with every game sequel. CoD Black Ops 3 feels like a giant expansion to CoD Black Ops 2. Star Wars Battlefront 2 feels like a giant expansion of Star Wars Battlefront 1. Arkham City feels like a giant expansion to Arkham Asylum. I could go on forever.
Fallout 4 will forever be the biggest letdown I've ever experienced too. This franchise has the best game ever made in it and also has the biggest slap in the face I've ever felt in terms of gaming. It's insane.
Consoles are holding this franchise back from the scale it could have. The original concept art of New Vegas was amazing, but they had to dull it down so it would actually function on the console.. How unfortunate. Also, this review sucks and I cringed at the first minute of it. Fallout 3 expansion? Graphically, yes. But Fallout 3 and New Vegas are VERY different. Funny, too, considering how this video was uploaded by the people who high-rate Call of Duty every year it comes out. Money talks but it also keeps your mouth shut, doesn't it?
Kunnta Kinte Well, the consoles simply couldn't handle the scale that was originally intended for New Vegas. Like I said in my post, the concept art prior to the final product was quite impressive. And sure, not everything is going to live up to the ACTUAL concept art.. but what was supposed to be an impressive city "largely untouched by nuclear warheads" turned out to be just a few blocks. What we got was a very dumbed down setting in order to keep it operable on the pre-next gen consoles. Fallout 4 looks promising, and the Xbox One and PS4 are obviously more advanced than the 360 and PS3, but like always they will be behind the PC in terms of power; and because of that the game cannot be AS impressive as it could be as long as they intend on catering to both communities. Now before anyone gets the wrong idea and goes on a whinge about what I said, I'm not hating on the consoles and being a PC elitist. I'm just being honest.
CommissarKozlov I will buy pc when I am older and have a full time job but all them parts are expensive,a decent pc costs around £2500-£3000 and that is loads. not to mention nvidia GPUS's like the new titan x GPU that has been released that costs £1000. who can afford all this shit not to mention are the settings complicated, and how long on average do you have to replace a part such as motherboard casing etc. As I will consider it in the future, because it's one full package and you can buy all the old classic games on steam. But what would you do if your hardrive breaks all that memory completing a game is lost and how many GB do I need. btw it needs to be pretty powerful as I like stuff on max setting such as GTA 5 which is open world. anyways any tips for console gamers trnasi
This may sound crazy but, Fallout : New Vegas is the best game I've ever played (Yes, I've played GTA V, Fallout 3, and Skyrim)... It just has an outstanding appeal that I've never seen in a game. It's not perfect to everybody, but it is to me. Sure, there is a few glitches here an there, but they are easily overlooked and replaced with an amazing story and side quests. My favorite is the music on the "Pip-Boy's" radio. The songs just have a charm that is scarce among many games today. The casino games are also entertaining, and I was actually a fan of the card game "Caravan", when I figured it out. This game is extremely underrated. I've played through the whole game 4 times, and I'm going back soon. I love the mojave wasteland... 10/10
5XEwgf Indeed. I originally downloaded it on a mid specs desktop and marveled at how fast the loading times were. The same loading times hold up on a laptop.
Jack Traister Loads of content that feels more in place. It also has lots of different paths and endings, of which 3 only has 2. Its just a much more polished and well done Fallout game. Still 3 was great, no denying that.
Jack Traister Defintely. I was reading they originally planned to make it a very densly populated game, but Xbox 360 and PS3 could not handle it. Still it was an awesome game.
What an amazing experience! I found Fallout 3 more compelling at the beginning of the game, but the constant shooting/danger/enemies put me off as the game went on. And the ending was lame. But New Vegas really allowed you to Role Play your character, which leads to various outcomes. More about the ending later. And am glad New Vegas had more RPG elements than FPS like Fallout 4. I hope Obsidian develops another sequel using the Fallout 4 Engine, while Bethesda works on Elder Scrolls 6! Fallout 4 - New Vegas by Obsidian! That would be something. Back to New Vegas - i totally ignored the Main Quest and just did hours and hours of exploring! Finding unique weapons, helping people, having a companion (Veronica), meeting new people and sometimes just sitting back and walking from one end of the map to another! An RPG gamer;s delight! The ending (main quest) gave me one of the most thought provoking moments in my gaming life! The game puts u in such a dilemma when you really need to think about the consequences of your actions. This is an example of awesome writing, well designed sandbox and multiple valid endings culminating in a very profound moral dilemma. Note how this dilemma was born out of emergent game play choices and my personal beliefs. This is how you design good sandbox games. You let the player tell his own story. In this aspect the end-game of New Vegas was by far superior to Fallout 3. And its something i will remember for a long time, which makes New Vegas one of the all time classic RPG games developed.
"Just feels like an expansion of Fallout 3" I would say the inverse: it feels like the main game an FO3 as the addition. NV has depths FO3 could only dream of haha 😂

I agree, Fallout New Vegas is lower than a 9/10 game.
@@comicsans1689 cappin
"Just don't expect a fallout 4" you are so wrong woman
Yep 5 years look how far we got.
Skurt Kobain as JamesPantsHat says "She meant that Fallout: New Vegas shouldn't be
considered as Fallout 4, because it's essentially a fallout 3 expansion. Not that Fallout 4
wasn't going to be made." apparently a bunch of people just skipped to
the ending and made a false, quick assumption just like you.
Death Mwauthzyx apparently you like to copy comments
It astonishes me that people don't understand what she meant by that. Takes a special kind of "special".
3:58
don't expect fallout 4.
Henry Marsden She meant it as dont expect NV to be Fallout 4. She didnt mean that Fallout 4 would never be made.
lampard4 No she meant that, given it's in 2010.
Eric Nelson
Respectfully I think you are wrong. She meant that prospective buyers of Fallout NV shouldnt expect a true sequel to Fallout 3.
+Eric Nelson she meant it as it being a bigger expansion of fo3 instead of completely new game
One of my Favorite games of all time. The writing was actually good, unlike other Bethesda games. Thanks Obsidian!
What do you mean by "other bethesda games"?
TheBama8 Fallout 4,3, and Skyrim's shitty writing
"Just don't expect Fallout 4"
hahahahaHAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA *Helds up copy of Fallout 4*

***** YEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
Why did she even say that? I'm still confused
+John Calderon It meant to be that New Vegas is not a full sequel. It is not Fallout 4 that is why she said that
+Bro9650 one more week? where have you been? the game came out yesterday!! :p
ever heard of a word "joke"???
I time traveled to tell you this joke.
The true fallout trilogy. Fallout 1, Fallout 2 and Fallout: New Vegas.
Latest News Fallout 3 doesn't count as a Fallout game. Nether does "Fallout" 4.
CoolKingdomRuler of feel the same: even though I love fnv more than f3, f3 Is still a damn good game.
Cameron Butler Yep, dumbed down so much
Cameron Butler just look at the Fallout Reddit page. There are so many gamers who want it! Probably the most wanted game of this moment that isn't announced
Fuck that noise
personnally i find skyrim is 10 times better then this, fantasy is just more interesting IMO
BaLisTic GuNZ that's cool, whatever you like. Sometimes I like fantasy more as well
One of the most underappreciated games of all time. Fallout 3 gets all the love (which I liked btw). Lets compare them.
New Vegas
1) Better story
2) Good factions
3) Better shooting
4) Bigger map
5) Hardcore mode
Fallout 3
1) Less empty world
2) Feels more like a wasteland not a desert
Um, you do realise f3 has a bigger map right, and Liam Neeson.
+Freddie Honywill ok I looked it up and they're the same size.
+Lucas Hunter uh no. 3 is a little bigger dude.
+Freddie Honywill NV is bigger
Both map sizes are the same. New Vegas has more locations, but 3’s locations are more clustered, leading to differing impressions.

LOLNO.
never heard something so true
Kinda does though
@@makefoxhoundgreatagain842 But it really doesn’t, it has a much better story and an amazing set of choices.

Fallout 4 is my first fallout. Fell in love and I'm gonna crank up my PS3 and cop number 3 and new vegas
bethesda games don't run realyly well on ps3.
+walrus yeah remember Skyrim
fallout 3 was my first
LOL I agree with walrus, fallout 3 on ps3 was my childhood and prob my favorite games I played it for so long ever since it came out when I was 6, but I ran into a bunch of weird things, like I was always afraid of weird glitches and the ps3 has a bug that makes it so sometimes when your just walking a long or you load up in a different area entire sky textures will be gone and it will just be a huge weird slate of brown, creepy as hell. There was also a game breaking glitch that I ran into after all that play time, I was in tenpenny tower and I went into the elevator, I had so much stuff too but when I tried to leave I couldn't the elevator wouldnt work and there was no exit even with saving and loading and all that stuff, I only had one save :(
raponegod3 get on a pc and play 1 and 2 frist but the pc is only for 1 and 2
I really hope Bethesda implements definitive endings in Fallout 4. One of the best things about New vegas was the huge amount of endings based on the players choices. In my opinion not being able to play past New Vegas's ending was a good thing. It meant your decisions mattered.
ye
Lol

YEAH I SAID YOU CANT GET MY KIND OF HIGH QUALITY JET DOWN THERE IN THE CAPITAL WASTELAND! JEEZ YOU NEED A FIX MAN?
You shouldn't be doing drugs. The lord requires vigilance.
They should add the ability to sprint for short amounts of time in the next one
Well considering the fact you could do that in Skyrim, I'm pretty sure they will do the same for Fallout 4
or maybe something like what they did in star wars the old republic, maybe have a perk that you get after a few levels that gives you a constant speed boost, and later you can purchase small vehicles to move a bit faster than that
you always see those bikes...i wish youll be able to use one...or ride a gecko...
Just get it on pc there is a mod for sprinting.

DUDE. They gave it a 9 quit being a manchild!
>story is predictable
>dont expect fallout 4
This is the most uneducated review i've ever seen
developers of this game are not the same developers of fallout3. Obsidian and Bethesda are different game developers. but the publishers the same.
That would mean IGN would have to do some research, That's too hard, way easier to say it's the same developer.
McPepsiTwistKing lmao u don’t even have to do research it’s common knowledge by fallout players that NV was made by Obsidian
I like this one more than fallout 3 but that's probably because I love westerns
I never actually had any freezes
Best things in Fallout New Vegas :
10.) Badass companions
9.) Weirdos
8.) Get high/drunk
7.)Get laid with a robot/ghoul/hooker.
6.)Factions
5.)Character Customization
4.)Being a jerk/Killing everyone/Bullying NPC's ( You lost karma)
3.)DLC's
2.)Cutscenes
1.)Mods.

"Just don't expect fallout 4" Exactly, because New Vegas is actually good. How did she know...
Leo Hagan
1:37 You guys do know that New Vegas wasn't made by the same developers of Fallout 3, tight?
There's no way they missed out on the whole 'can't continue after the ending' backlash
Felix De La Cruz no it was made by obsidian and published by bethesda moron
gaming with friends gaming with friends That's pretty much what I said. Bethesda developed Fallout 3 and Obsidian developed New Vegas. Learn to read.
Sorry didn't have my glasses on.I'm ugly so I am the victim.
It’s very insulting to say this game is “more fallout 3”
In a sense it is but has more of an open ended story and lacks Random Ecounters.
And in the Fallout 3 review they keep mentioning Oblivion with weapons
The review was not very good and the reviewer makes a couple of mistakes, but in the end it doesn't matter. Either way anyone who recognizes quality writing would know that New Vegas was vastly superior to Fallout 3. Easily the best Fallout game alongside Fallout 2, especially when you couple in the great DLC
Imagine if Bethesda allowed obsidian to have proper development time one the game, the game would've been way more amazing than it already is.
Call me Big Boy I know right? Caesar's Legion seemed to be the thing that really got cut due to short development. Imagine getting a whole city dedicated to them instead of just a small settlement
+Call me Big Boy Yes I hope the hire Obsidian to make a new Fallout hopefully in California like 2 and 1.
Ciarán Uí Néill Story was excellent. It was a story that allowed you to decide on how it could end. Not some shitty walking dead game styled ending where it would always end the same.
***** Yes! But it is a more open one, which I personally can appreciate more.
Just bought it today, my first fallout...I can't wait, I can't believe it's taken me this long to pick up what is known as one of the greatest games of all time!
How’d you like it?
"More FO3" as if the game isn't a better FO3. Better perks better dialogue better gun play better everything
The Reason People Were Angry Over Fallout 3's original ending is because of the plot hole of having Fawkes Going into the radiation chamber, The Game Forces You To Sacrifice Yourself When's There's A Better Option And Calls You A Coward If You Don't. Fallout New Vegas Is A Classic Resolution To You Solving The Mojaves Problems Fallout 3 Doesn't Do That
1:18 3 possible endings? House, NCR, Legion, Yes Man. Isn't that 4? :D
"It feels like a giant expansion of Fallout 3."
You can say the same with every game sequel.
And also, WHY THE HECK DOES FALLOUT 4 HAVE A HIGHER SCORE THAN THIS GAME???
A 100 hour expansion! 😄
Fallout: New Vegas will forever be the greatest work of art to ever grace mankind. Thank you Obsidian.
Fallout 4 will forever be the biggest letdown I've ever experienced too. This franchise has the best game ever made in it and also has the biggest slap in the face I've ever felt in terms of gaming. It's insane.
Damn, wish fallout 4 was a thing.
I don't.
lol
If only...
CommissarKozlov How does it get hold back?
***** oh okay does it still run smooth and is it better than console in your opinion. BTW when will you replace a part
William Balll A decent car costs 200k? If thats how much you pay for a decnt car your getting ripped off massively.
There's actually a LOT of different endings in nv. But there are FOUR main story possibilities not three.
Yeah, it's pretty obvious she didn't even bother finishing the damn game.
I´m surprised how many people didn´t get the line "just don´t expect Fallout 4".
There are three possible endings
Say whuuuaaaat
Load times are long?! It takes me at most 5 seconds on my pc
Obsidian makes quality. Too bad their products are usually buggy.
Obsidian products consistently have performance issues outside of New Vegas. KOTOR 2 was a big mess that took years of patching to fix.
They never had the money that's why there games are buggy and new vegas was created using Bethesda's engine
Honestly, I thought this was better than Fallout 3 :)
Fallout 4 would have been the best fallout game if it had the great rp of nv, because then, it would have the best rp and the best gameplay
1:13 "Let's say complications arise. The story ends up being a bit predictable"
This clip is everything wrong with IGN reviews.

Like how they called supermutants monsters, completely missed the point.
they gave this game 9/10 and people are still not satisfied
Becasue 9/10 Doesn’t mean anything for ign. Doom eternal is 9 and so is all the cod games
Ign the developers wasn't Bethesda but obsidian.
this lady is my least favorite out of all the IGN crew
The loading times are actually very short on pc
5XEwgf Indeed. I originally downloaded it on a mid specs desktop and marveled at how fast the loading times were. The same loading times hold up on a laptop.
This was better than 3. Haha Call of Duty rehashes get a 9 what a load of shit.
how was it better than three?
its like a giant expansion, adding loads of stuff.
Jack Traister Loads of content that feels more in place. It also has lots of different paths and endings, of which 3 only has 2. Its just a much more polished and well done Fallout game. Still 3 was great, no denying that.
kingmatt2563 3 has a much better open world, I would argues it's 10 times more fun to explore.
Jack Traister Defintely. I was reading they originally planned to make it a very densly populated game, but Xbox 360 and PS3 could not handle it. Still it was an awesome game.
Bro. The algorithm just finally showed me this, 12 years later. Now for that review. 🤓
This lady really pissed me off.
What's with the dislikes?
The reviewer has no idea what she's talking about...
justchillin360 I understand that, but I think that people are getting a bit too angry over this. She still gave it 8.5 - 9.0.
KickassW7 when cod got a 9.1 and infamous Ss got 8.7
LoL Stacker SS is fairly shallow, but yes, CoD is too and simply rehashed, yet IGN keep giving it high scores.
Sasuke Uchiha LoL Stacker I remember when they gave sonic unleashed a lower than sonic 06. Go figure.
Just bought it a few days ago for my 360 and I'm loving it
This game is so much better than Fallout 3. This rating is an embarrasement
How is a '9' embarrassing?
It got a lower score than Fallout 3. It's not so much that this is underrated. It's more so that Fallout 3 was overrated.
Years later this review still the worst and most harbage one
most deserving 10 of any game ever made
The definitive best game ever made imo.
No
I would love to play Fallout 4! :D
Your wishes will soon be granted
3 possible endings? Hmm, I guess I'll just forget about the hundreds of possibilities that your ending could be. Cuz you know, IGN is always right.
IGN picked FO3 as Game of the Year, despite FNV being best in almos every aspect?! Lmao
Fallout new vegas is the best Fallout game in my opinion.
And its something i will remember for a long time, which makes New Vegas one of the all time classic RPG games developed.
amen, couldn't have said it better. (also is it weird if I want to marry Veronica?)

the fact that this review states there's only 3 endings is an indicator of its quality
Their is 4 actually but you can have diffrent endings to each endings I sided with the same faction 2 times and had a completely diffrent experience
@@aidanvitsentzos3678 there's a total of 4 major endings (Legion, NCR, mr house or independent with yes man),but each ending has minor endings gor each group or faction.
